Have you applied to this server before?(Please link past applications): - No. How did you hear about us?: - After being without roleplay for a few months, one of my friends (BlackMyst) gave me the link to your forums. What do you think the server will be like? – I am not sure, as I’ve never played on a server of this scale, though I believe it will be very roleplay-in-depth and possibly more fast paced to what I am used to due to the size of the server, though I am optimistic. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes. What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - I agree most with the rule of no spamming because spam causes not only players to get frustrated, but detracts from roleplay as it makes the chat hard to read. What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is taking on the part of a made up character and acting as if you were that character. What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is when a player uses outside sources (other players or forums) to give their character understanding of something that the character would not know IC. Ex: Player 1 is told by a friend that a certain player’s secret mine can be found at certain coordinates. If Player 1 uses this information to go find the mine, then that person is metagaming. What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is when a player roleplays as if their character is more strong or more powerful than it should be such as in a RP fight, the player takes several hits, but acts as if they are just fine. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Borne by two High Elf parents, Malduit was an only child. The family lived in Elandriel 12 years after Malduit’s birth until they moved to Normandor. On the journey to the new city, Malduit and his parents were all infected by Ki’katta and were forced to camp for several weeks. During that time, Malduit grew out of the illness and was forced to tend to his parents who were becoming increasingly sick. Not being educated in the art of finding edible toadstools and berries, Malduit gave his mother a bad mushroom which only weakened her more. On the fourth week, Malduit’s mother passed away. On the fifth, his father. Alone, Malduit ran for hours until dropping from exhaustion. When he awoke, he was on a soft bed of sheep’s wool. Leaving the bed, Malduit seeks to see where he is and finds himself in a small cloth tent within a circle of other small tents. The circle was around a campfire where two human females of about 30 sat, weaving a woolen gray cowl. Approaching the two, Malduit taps them upon their shoulders. They turn and smile at him kindly… Throughout the next 5 years of his life, the two women teach Malduit about nature, which berries are poisonous, and other woodsman skills. Not wanting to return home or finish the journey to Normandor, Malduit leaves the women and heads into the forest where he spends a good 20 years living in a small cave. As he spent more and more time in the forest, he begins to grow angry whenever trespassers cut through it and kill its fauna and crush its flora. After about 40 years of living in the forest, he begins to defend the forest from the trespassers, maiming them with arrows from hiding places, but never aiming to kill. After a century of living in the forest, Malduit only used the trees sparingly for food and always ate few berries when possible. On the last day of his 99th year (he did not keep track) living in seclusion, there was a thunderstorm in which the forest was struck by a bolt of lightning, starting a forest fire. Being awoken to the scent of smoke, Malduit leaves his cave to see his beloved forest in flames. Knowing he cannot help, he flees the forest he had come to love… After trekking across the land for a month, Malduit reaches a small port town where he decides to leave the land of Asulon to Anthos by boat. After a dreadful trip with the vessel of dead trees and strange people, Malduit arrives in Anthos. What are they like (personality)?: - After being in solitude for a century, Malduit is very reserved to himself and vaguely eccentric. What are their ambitions?: - Malduit strives to protect any nature from those with ill intentions. Do they have any special skills?: - Malduit is an average archer, very agile, and has great skill with traversing forests and tracking. What are their weaknesses?: - Malduit is slightly emotionally unbalanced, is not very physically strong, and has the education of a 12 year old. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Malduit stands about 5’11’’, has deep green eyes, and lightly colored brown hair. He wears a tight cap of gray cloth that covers his hair. Atop the cap is a hood of brown wool fashioned to seem as if it has two ears sticking from the top. The rest of his body apart from his arms and sides are covered with similar brown wool. He has vines wrapped around parts of his body instead of leather straps (to hold his clothing tight) and wears black boots with gray patterns atop them.
