Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Luke Algard was born in the city of Abresi to Maeric Algard, a soldier;and to Aera Algard, a barmaid of a prominent tavern. His father served the king loyally as a man-at-arms. As Luke aged, his father began to teach him the ways of the sword. At the age of ten, Luke was formally squired to Sir Varen Alener. Sir Varen came from a house that has long since served the king as knights, and other soldiers. The knight's teachings rang true as his squireship continued. At age eighteen, he was brought into his first battle. Sir Varen led a small party that included three watchmen, and Luke. They went through the forest outside the capital. The party continued down the path, when they were suddenly set upon by vagabonds. Swords were drawn, and the two forces charged one another. Varen moved through the thieves with ease, slicing them down quickly. The squire however, was an entirely different story. He remembered his teachings, and managed to fell one bandit before the battle was over. Two of the three watchmen that accompanied the party had fallen in the skirmish. Varen congratulated his squire, then he led the party home. Luke's family held a special dinner to celebrate the boy's first battle, though Luke felt no joy. Luke only felt sorrow, for the image of the man's death was vivid in his mind. The next day Varen spoke to Luke about his first kill, anxious to see how his squire reacted to it. Luke informed him that he felt no joy in killing, but he knew he had to do it. The knight was proud of his squire, and he told him so. Varen told Luke that killing is never a thing that must be enjoyed, but that it must be done. Luke remembered these words as he walked back to the training grounds. He remembered these words as he struck the training dummy multiple times with a blunted sword. Years past, and Luke continued to show his prowess in battle under Sir Varen's guidance. He was eventually knighted by the king himself. Though when the kingdom fell, he left among the droves of refugees that abandoned the former capital.The former knight now wanders the world, searching for work as a sell-sword. Luke has vowed to return to his home, should the need arise for his service to continue. Luke's travels have brought him to Alaira, where he served a merchant for a few months. In those few months of service, he made a fair bit of coin. His service ended however, when the man told Luke that he had no more need of him. So the sell-sword continued his travels, finally stopping in Kastoria. In Kastoria Luke encountered a caravan master, who had need of guards to accompany him on his journey to Leumalin. The sell-sword quickly formed a contract of service with the man, and waited for other guards to join as well. A few days went past, then two more mercenaries signed up with the caravan master. The two mercenaries were old friends, whose' names were Aldrin and Vaein. They were the typical brutes hired by caravans to protect their goods on the road. The company soon sets off from Kastoria, towards the general direction of their destination. They encountered little of interest, and they soon founds themselves outside the walls of Leumalin. Upon entering the city, the mercenaries were paid by their employer. Then they said their good byes, and left one another. Luke headed towards the gates, anxious to find another employer that may be lurking near the entrance of the city. The sell-swords now wanders the land, searching for work that pays well. What are they like (personality)?: - Luke Algard is very pious, loyal, and modest. What are their ambitions?: - His ambition is to restore his homeland, and serve a new king. Do they have any special skills?: - He knows how to use a long sword well. What are their weaknesses?: - Luke can be at times undaunting in the face of the enemy, but his weakness is that he always follows orders. Whether the orders are foolish or not, he will follow them or die trying. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Height: 6'1 Weight: 210 lbs Luke's hair is the color of night itself, and it does not go past his ears. Scars dot his face from skirmishes with various enemies. His arms are muscular from many hours devoting himself to his training. He wears a mix of leather, and mail so that he may move swiftly.
