Out-Of-Character Information The simplest section of the application! Simply answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit better. What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: Carbon_man How old are you?: - 17 What time-zone do you live in?: - GMT Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - No Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - Only to have a look, not to actually play. Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - No, I have not. How did you hear about us?: A friend at college pointed me towards your website. What do you think the server will be like? Hopefully deeply immersive. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have. What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: "Even if you don’t technically break any listed rules, either from walking the fine line between breaking the rules and not or from consistently jumping through loopholes, it is a moderator’s right to warn or ban you if they deem it necessary. This will only occur in extreme scenarios, and moderator’s abusing this right will be dealt with accordingly." I like this rule as it shows that your staff are allowed to use their own discretion and common sense when it comes down to people being purposefully difficult or irritating. This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is stepping into the shoes of a character, and acting as if you were them. What’s metagaming?: Metagaming is an act made by a character with knowledge that they would not have if the OOC player was not there. Eg, the player knows about the lore but the character is entering a new realm, the player uses the knowledge of the lore to his advantage. What’s powergaming?: Powergaming is forcing a series of events for example, saying I sliced your arms off, cut your head off and stole all your money. When in reality the other player my parry with their weapon and therefore not have their arms cut off. Powergaming is rude and irresponsible in my eyes In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. What’s your character called?: Tulkos Nimothan What race are they (and sub-race)?: Man What sex are they?: Male How old are they?: 22 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): Tulkos grew up in a town near Vekkaro. He had two brothers and a sister. Growing up, he lived a peaceful life, and never worried about the threats and dangers that lie out in the wilds of Oren. His parents would tell him stories of a dark power in the East, but Tulkos never thought that problem concerned him, and thus ignored it. One day, when Tulkos, was sixteen he walked through the woods alone. He came a cross a curious looking treeless patch in the woods. The ground was covered in ashes, and the a fallen trees lay charred and cut. In the center of the treeless patch there was a hole about his size. Tulkos felt yearn for adventure. He ran back to his house and grabbed a torch and his father's hunting knife. He ran back to the site and proceeded to climb into the hole. The hole turned out to be a large cavern. Tulkos was amazed by the sight. Beautiful rock structures beguiled him. He explored deeper. As hi depth beneath the earth increased, he began a banging sound. As he continued deeper, the sound grew louder. The noise filled Tulkos with fear, yet he wanted to know more about it. As he continued deeper he found massive cavern, with a deep ravine. From where he stood, a fall into the pit would likely kill him. He peered down into the ravine, and thought he saw a very faint twinkle of a light. Tulkos was curious as to how deep the cave was, so as an experiment, he dropped a rock into the abyss. He waited a few seconds and heard it hit the stone below. But then, Tulkos learned to regret his actions, as after a few seconds of the rocks collision with the bottom, he heard cackling. He turned to run, but found that the passages he had come from were now illuminated by torchlight. In the torchlight he saw shadows of monstrous creatures. Tulkos thought he had no hope to live, but took what he thought was the more survivable route. Tulkos leapt into the deep chasm below. As he fell he prayed to The Creator to survive the massive fall, but his fall ended was ended short. He had landed on a outcropping of rock. There he was stranded for months. His only water was that which dripped from the stalactites above. He had no food. For weeks he lived in starvation. In is time of most need; Tulkos decided that he most eat his own finger to survive. He lopped off three with his hunting knife and ate them. A few days later, Tulkos awoke to the sound of banging and cackling. He opened his eyes to see he was caged in iron bars. Through the bars he saw fire and crudely made structures, and with them stood the ugliest creatures he had ever seen. He hard heard of them in stories, they were orcs. They were all arguing amongst themselves about how the boy would be tortured. As the bickered Tulkos realised that he had not been stripped of his clothing and possessions yet. He took out his father's hunting knife and hid it under a nearby rock. An hour or so later, the goblins entered his cell, whipping and beating. They took from him every possession he carried, save his pants. A day or so later, a host of goblins arrived, and with them were three prisoners, about sixty year olds by they look of them. They were thrown into Tulkos’ cell. They each said that they had been lost for ages. And had forgotten their own name. One said he was the same age as Tulkos when he was first lost in the cavern. The orcs pulled a giant and crudely constructed device in front of the cell. It had bones and remnants of old travelers in it. A goblin entered the cell. Expecting a quick and easy task. he left the cell door open behind him. He tried to pull one of Tulkos’ fellow prisoners out. When the man resisted, the orc started lashing him with his whip. At that moment, Tulkos had had enough. He pulled the hunting knife from beneath the rock and stuck the orc in his throat. The orc fell dead. One of the prisoners took the whip. The four of them exited through the open cell door. The man with the whip began whipping all the orcs in the area, and Tulkos stabbed a few with his knife. They bolted down the cave's passages with a number of goblins behind them. After hours of fleeing the four saw a speck of sunlight above their heads. It was maybe 100 feet above them. They needed to reach it, but they hadn't much time to think of ideas, as swarms of goblins arrived, all fully armed. They charged tat the four, who prepared for death. Tulkos closed his eyes expecting the worst, when a deep nonhuman noise filled the cavern. It sounded like grinding stone, and as it roared the ground shook. The goblins were too afraid to move. Debris and rubble fell from the ceiling, crushing some orcs. The noise sounded again. Some of the ground beneath them began to collapse. The noise sounded yet again. The ceiling fell, revealing even more sunlight. The goblins were bathed in sunlight, their skin burned, and they fled from the scene immediately. The fallen debris stacked up and created a climbable tower to the top of the cavern, towards the sunlight. The four prisoners climbed the tower, but just before they escaped the noise sounded one last time, and the stonewalls of the cavern collapsed, Debris fell and crushed tow of the prisoners. Just as Tulkos escaped the depths below, he caught a glimpse of a giant rounded mouth with teeth on all sides, chewing away at the earth. In terror Tulkos fled from the cavern. AT the surface, the ground behind the two survivors collapsed and destroyed any view of the hole in the earth. The two now free prisoners parted ways. Tulkos rushed back to his home viilage, ready to see his family again. When he arrived he rushed strait for his home. When he arrived he found a mournful mother and father. Tulkos charged through the door and hugged his father. His father was ecstatic, his mother kissed him and made him some food. When his mother asked what had happened to his fingers he simply responded that he lost them in a climbing accident. She was skeptical, but it didn’t interfere with the reunion. Tulkos told his father all about his great adventure. When he came to the part about the giant mouth beneath the cave, the father seemed concerned. He told Tulkos that there are legends about creatures deep beneath the surface that gnaw away at the earth. That day Tulkos had never felt happier, but he realized there was something missing. He asked where his brothers and sister were. His parents responded by saying that they had gone to look for him and never returned. Tulkos ecstasy turned to heartbreak. For a few months Tulkos lived at peace with his father and mother, his love of nature never ceased, but he very seldom went on adventure. He decided that he would leave his town and go to Vekkaro. He would join the military, and help ensure that that his homeland and its natural beauty would not become an orc ridden wasteland. What are they like (personality)?: Damaged but well meaning. What are their ambitions?: Defend his family and homeland from all threats Do they have any special skills?: Pure Determination What are their weaknesses?: Tulkos loses heart when loved ones are in need. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: Dark, man of the woods. Anything else you want to say about them?: Tulkos will always do what is best for others, he puts others first then looks after himself.
