I did formating it in the browser while cpu usage got up too 100% for a long time while i m still formatting. When i finished the formatting and rewriting i just wanted to save what i wrote before the pc maybe shut down itself or i have to restart it - i was a bit afraid of opening an external programm to save it while the cpu usage was so high - i hope you can understand and do not see it as breaking the rules on purpose) How did you hear about us?: I was searching for Lord of the Rings Mod Server and the saerch engine gave me your homepage - i started reading and found it interesting. What is roleplaying?: Playing a role ;) It means that one changes his own behaviour to fit into a specific role. When playing this role, you have to act like this role would act like. Examples: As a guard of a king you have to protect him, stay in his near, you have to change how you talk cause you cannot talk with the king like with your friends. What’s metagaming?: Something like using OOC knowledge and us it IC to change the curse of a situation. In fact this is not allowed by the rules. Example: You are chatting with a friend OOC and he tells you to plan an attack on a village. You go IC and tell the villager about it so they can prevent this attack. This is not allowed by the rules cause your IC would not know this attack. What’s powergaming?: A style of playing to build up an extreme powerful character in a short time (maybealso using bugs for it). Example: Forging a dagger needs less material then a sword and can be done much faster. So one is forging a dagger to increase its forging talent faster and in a cheaper way cause the forge enginge only count the forged elements not the needed amount of materials and time. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): (Its hard to write a past story when you cannot find many cities or information from the dark elves, i just found lores about the high elf cities and their history but none for the dark elves. So i added the lost of some of his memories to step over this (missing?) lore for the dark elves. If i m wrong i would be glad if you could post me some links to the lore for the dark elves but i will not change my story - i think the memory lost is not so bad :) ) He was born in the realm of Anthos in the year 1408 (I hope its correct cause i cannot find any starting date for anthos or ending date of Asulon (there were some other reals between Anthos and Asulon when i read it correctly). He and his family were living in Darkhaven, the city were almost only Dark Elves lived. With creation of the Conclave the war between the elves started, Darkhaven declared neutrality but his father went to war leaving him and his family behind - but he returned several years later. Then came his dark ages, several reasons forced him to leave his family and Darkhaven in 1432 - a time that changed him dramatically. A period were he was living most of the time alone in the wilderness. A time only true friends get to know about. True friends he might lost during the sail to this new land. Nevertheless he never regreted to leave his family. Since this time he nearly never thought about them - what is uncommon for Dark Elves, but in his opinion he never was or had the characteristics of a "real" Dark Elf. Then only some years after he left his family and lived alone, the Scourge raised and changed his life again. He woke up from his darkend mind faced with the fact that he would die if not. The war started and reached him too. He decieded to move with the High Elves to the Tomb but only several years later the rain started. And in 1457 the elves and all the others decieded to leave Anthos to The Fringe and later to Thales. First two good places but in the end they had to leave both of them again. During the great war between Crimson-Silver and Bloc he was a courier for the Crimson-Silver. After the war he still did this job for a lot of people. Then came the draught and they had to leave to Thales. There he lived in the capital Celi'ante doing some courier jobs. Then there was this mission. Transporting a little golden chest to a human but he was attacked and passed out. When he woke up all his memories were gone and he was lost. Then time was passing by so fast but his memories recovered only slowly. The winter came and they had to left Thales to Athera in 1468. It was a long trip by ship but he had a lot of time trying to remember ... but he could not remember lot of his past. What are they like? (personality): He is a friendly and happy person. He never had to really fight, he always could prevent it by talking and aguing. Nevertheless, if there is the need he maybe can protect himself. Also if he was living alone for several years, on the on hand he do not like to have a lot of people around him but on the other hand he enjoys if people are there. There is still the wish to be alone but it starts fading away. What are their ambitions?: Keeping his body in shape. He never want to forget again. So he wants to document all his live starting from now on. Starts discovering the lands, meeting people and cities like he did before but this time he wants to document it. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): Weaknesses: Needs some time for calculations (mathematic stuff) His memory system is bad. He can remember new things but it took him a while to get those information back from his mind. Sometimes he is a quiet person and do not talk so much about himself. He needs some time to process and analyse new information (he is not the fastest in thinking). He first is listening to what others say and maybe after some minutes or hours of thinking without interruptions he is able to give a good answer on what the person said before. After swimg for a longer time he gets spasm If it is too warm he "nearly would die" - his body is used to the cold (because of his shape body and muscles) Strength: Good in listening to people Has a shape body that gives him a good endurance and strength (and also some more heat cause of his muscles). Hey, to create a better story for my character i need the current year ingame. Anthos (http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/Anthos) ended in the year 1457. Unfortunatly there are no ending years for The Fringe (http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/The+Fringe) and Thales (http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/Thales). I searched on other wiki pages but could not found a year for them (or maybe overlooked it ...?). The problem i have now: My character has an age. But how can i create a past story (i m new to lotc) for my character, when i dont know in which year he was born? E.g. My character is 166 years old (Elf). To knew if he "was part of Anthos" or not i have to know the current year and the starting and end year of anthos. Sure I can create a story for him with cities of anthos but then it is not matching with the lore cause we find out that he was much to young to travel to anthos or that he was born (from the year point of view) in the fringe or later. So can anyone tell me the current ingame year?

Only true friends got the whole story of his past and the reason why he left the caves of his family and community - and leaving the family is not so common for dark elves. Out in the wilderness he could live alone for a long time without the constant prescene of any other beeing. In this time he closed his mind for others, also his feelings, thoughts and believes changed. Nevertheless he was no hermit. He can life with people, he can talk with them and also enjoyes their company - but there is always this strange feeling. One day, while doing his job as courier, something went teribbly wrong .. and he woke up laying on the ground in a forest nearby a city. Everything was hurting and he hardly tried to remember but only a few thoughts came up in his mind. Unfortunatly none of them could help him finding who he are, why everything hurts and what the hell he was doing in the near of a city he do not know! So he deciededt o go to the city. Maybe someone knows him... and if not ... then he maybe has to ask if someone knows him. But when he entered the city he only got strange views from the people - he felt really bad. Fortunatly while he was walking through the city some more memories came back! Some details about him, his name, only partially his familly - those memories about his family made him feel ... bad, a weird feeling and he knew that something happend between them and him (and because of his long time alone he changed so deeply that also a lack of memories cannot erase those feelings)... and flashbacks, short flashbacks with strange situations. He saw the town by night. Giving something to a man. Guards. Then mountains. A huge underground cave. Elves, who look like him. He was talking with them. Fighting training. Recieving .. something. Talking to ... a man, an elf ... in the forest. Dwarfs, fighting with ... elves, orcs. The town again. Fire, shadows, water ... His head started hurting again. He couldn´t connect all those flashbacks to a big picture - he would need more time. But those flashbacks told him that he got something from an elf in the forest that he had to delievered to someone. He does not know if it is the forest he woke up or another one, the name of the elf or the man, the stuff he had to transport. But hopefully in a few days more memories will come back again and then he will be able to find the elf or the man! What are they like? (personality): Friendly (maybe too friendly), he first tries to argue then fight, quiet but when there is the need..., private regarding some parts of his past he still knew, sometimes strange behaviour with other people because of his long time alone What are their ambitions?: Getting back his memories. Finding the elf and the man in his flashbacks Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): Weaknesses: Because of his friendly behaviour he is sometimes easily convinceble to do something also if it is not his duty. Skills: He has a trained body which allows him to travel long distances, carry more than others and provide him with more strength. But to be able to have this body and endurance he has to do mostly a daily training. But his better abilities do not lead to better using of weapons or something like this.
