Citizen door keys will be redistributed to ensure the safety of all citizens. With that, a new law is to be set out for use of the citizen doors located near the docks and the main gate.

Throughout lands where it is possible to make this pronouncement, posters are put up and speeches are made by both heralds and Percival Staunton, making clear the position of a grand number of northmen and women. Written on the 8th of Ambercold, 1518, it is as follows:

Dearest people of Vailor,

Oren sees itself seizing these days, beating itself about in two forms. The first is the Crown, comprised of all thoes who are loyal. The other fashions itself the Ducal Coalition, comprised of Adria who proclaims insurmountable grievances, and my old home, Vanaheim. Even with the nip in the air from the bitter winter approaching, I don’t believe anything will be colder or more bitter than the war that is coming.

On Athera, my family wisely chose to serve Oren, bettering the nation through dedicated service to the wise Duke, Vasili Vanir. We occupied old Atgaard as a barony then, and repopulated the Duchy of Akovia, assisting in making it a functional Duchy of the Kingdom of Oren, rather than just a title that the Vanirs bore for their grand service in the Schism war.

Now, we still do, but we do so without word from our Duke, and worse yet, without anyone else who can even seek him to convey his word. We are capable, and do not need to be lead to water to drink, or to our stations to work, but we would simply have liked some simple consulting on matters that affect our fates. The failure to return my letters cause me more distress than I can spell or speak, so I will simply assure you that it’s not okay.

My people have long faced persecution, first for our attaining nobility, then after by our very liege lord. Despite our hard work, we have a reputation I’m sure you are all well aware of, (much to my dismay, I may add) that we are some sort of obnoxious, rude and unwise folk. As hard as we have worked, and despite the bounty given to our liege lord, no mind has been paid to that.

Worse yet, we had stripped from us the only thing that was given to us for work; a simple barony.

Now, as loyal men and women, we took it to the chin with a smile and a nod, as we know sacrifice is sometimes necessary in service. Not only did we accept this, but we blamed ourselves as your men did; we needed to stand taller, look more respectable, and leave ourselves exclusive to only those who expressed the truest of Orenian values. We reflected upon ourselves, and took any of our initiatives that we took without word from Duke Vasili as inappropriate. But do you want to know what we got for such zealous and faithful service?

A continuation of the berating of my family and people. Not just from the world abroad, but at home. The Duke offered no defence of us, and worse yet, his kin insult us too. What were we to do? We knew not; again, he is unavailable even to his kin.

Now Adria stands against the Crown, breaking an oath on the basis of grief. Vanaheim now joins them, doing so on the same grounds, but what of our grief?

Our people need reparations too, but only now when we consider upholding our oaths to the king are people interested in offering such. Not with an apology, but with sweat dewing their foreheads. I would have gladly accepted these before, but it is necessity that drove these offers to me, not apology. Not an attempt to make amends, but to tie up loose ends.

We are more than a loose end, though.

We know already too, that we can have what we are given can be taken on a moment's notice. Adria herself offers to us a place, but how are we to trust them too? They are allied with those who hurt us, after vouching against their allowance to come to Vailor as a duchy. Worse yet, you vouched against them and the Crown because of us, and for that, we can simply not afford to trust either duchy in the Ducal Coalition.

We have decided to agree with the Adrians in the need for a change of leadership on the basis of inactivity, arbitrary decision making, uselessness and effectual undermining of faithful servants, but not against the crown, but against the Duke of Vanaheim.

We do this in the name of the Crown of Oren, King Olivier de Savoie. God bless us, and protect the faithful as they punish those who have earned it.

Full description of what you're wanting
Torso, /lightly/ armoured (Black/gold/brown), with purple and/or light blue robes- (This may look odd, I'm just trying to link it to my House's colours. If it does look odd use a colour like red or dark gold.). Armour can extend to cover legs. It would be great if you put the armour/robes on the armour layout (when making the skin) and the casual clothing on the under layer, allowing me to remove the armour when I wished in game. Under the armour, just a clean and presentable shirt and trousers.

Oin has long ginger hair, which is short when compared to his luxurious beard. He stands at 4ft 7" and is normally armoured. Oin spends  most nights in the mines, where he is normally on the search for ferrum, and most of the days smithing his mined ferrum. This over time has given Oin a rather muscular structure. Oin sees his clan as his upmost responsability, and would pick it over family or money.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography.

Roger at a very young age lost his father after the natural disasters hit Asulon, he escaped with his mother fleeing on a merchant ship to Elysium. Roger and his mother, Alina, did not wish to stay in Elysium due to fear of the volcano erupting so they took up refugee in Normandor the grand second capital city of Malinor. Due to the large amount of travelling Roger had to find work to support himself and his mother. After much looking around he decided to join the city's hunting party as he thought it would best suit his natural instincts. Roger began to become one with nature and understand her. He was very successful and earned enough money to buy a small, one bed home for him and his mother to live in. With this new kind of money Roger was acquiring he decided to explore the shops at the city centre and he couldn't not notice the city centre's grand tree, the biggest in Asulon. Roger took a lot of interest in this tree spending his afternoon exploring the shops speaking to many of the dwarves and humans that Normandor welcomed. But this was quickly halted by his mothers growing illness. He spent much of his life then looking after his mother but her illness continuously became worse. Roger would explore the forests that he had onced hunted in looking for special kinds of herbs and flowers in which he hoped could help his mothers illness. One day his mother decided that she wanted to see this "grand" forest as she was a forest elf aswell after all. Roger kept close to his mother incase she collapsed or anything of that kind. Roger spotted sunlight coming through the leaves shining on a spot of herbs, and he quickly ran over thinking they could help with his mothers illness. After Roger had carefully plucked the herbs out of the ground he could not see his mother. He ran back and forth trying to figure out where she had gone. She heard a cry and he ran over, 2 orcs had taken her hostage and warned to kill her if he came any closer. Roger slowly brought out his hunting bow and took aim at one of the orcs, that orc then pulled out his own bow and took aim at Roger. The orc shoot at Roger's leg leaving him crippled on the forest floor, but Roger took aim at that orc and fired, right into the stomach. Roger had no other arrows left and was left helpless on the floor as the other orc ran away with his mother. After a day a hunting party of humans found Roger and removed the arrow from his knee. Roger's knee slowly recovered but he would never be able to run for a long amount of time again.

What are they like?: Adventurous, outgoing. They have a very good relationship with humans and dwarves but hates orcs more than hell

What are their ambitions?: To build an exciting adventurous life in Normandor and also to take revenge on the orcs for what they did to his mother

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? Roger is extremely good behind a bow helping him to be very good at hunting. He is dramatized by what happened to his mother and will not work with any orcs. Also after the arrow injury he cannot run very far without a lot of pain.

Give us a description of how they look: Roger has shiny brown hair which is normally covered up by his hood, he wears a gown and boots to stop him from becoming cold.

Anything else you want to say about them?: I'm really looking forward to joining this amazing server, and I hope Roger is good enough to get me there!
