The Order of the Black Eagle The Army of Aesterwald, Soldiers of his Majesty der König Code and Tenants -Tenants- Originally named the Vandorian Order, the Force maintains a few examples of their past, such as their code of honor. Why do Vanders fight? † To fear the Creator and maintain His Church † † To serve the liege lord in valour and faith † † To refrain from the wanton giving of offence † † To live by honour and for glory † † To despise pecuniary reward † † To obey those placed in authority † † To guard the honour of fellow Vanders † † To keep faith † † To persevere to the end in any enterprise begun † † To never to refuse a challenge from an equal † † To never to turn the back upon a foe † -The Primitive Rule of the Reichmann- I. On The Speaking of Words When in the presence of an ally, all Enlisted and Knights are to behave with kindness no matter the ill words spoken to them in accords to what the Vander’s code says “To refrain from the wanton giving of offence”. Reichmann are not required to speak true on personal quarrels when asked upon unless if state security is involved. II. On the Dress of the Reichmann In order to provide a sense of pride and representation as persons of the Force all individuals serving the Königreich's Streitkräfte are expected to bear their banner’s colors in linen or wool unless deemed otherwise by the acting Draper. A familiar issue to the Order is a sense of self identity amongst Enlisted, and Knights. Therefore the Königreich has deemed it fit to allow each person one accessory they may bear that does not possess any form of appearance which may warp the Force’s perception. III.On Seniority of the Force In the Order, a direct chain-of-command shall be established to prevent the usurpation of power from a more capable commander by a more popular commander. If a commander of higher standing appears, he is to take charge immediately. No orders are to be given by any other without the say of the senior. If it does happen that one takes command for himself, he and those that followed him shall be punished, either through lashings, demerit, blacklistment, or through the ancient rite of decimation. The command shall go as follows: A.) The Lord Constable The Grandmaster has absolute command of the Force in all cases. His word is rule. B.) The Senior Knights The Senior Knights are the enactors of the Constable's Will and are second-in-line in seniority. C.) The Knights The Knights are the high officers of the Force and are naturally third-in-line in seniority. D.) The Most Senior Enlisted If no one else is present, the Kamerads are to be commanded by the highest clerical or military presence present. IV. On Blackmarking Blackmarking is the old rite of stripping an oathed Reichmann of their rights and rank by putting them beneath those who have just taken oath into the Order. Blackmarking is seen as a last attempt for an Enlisted or Knight to save themselves and their name before being removed from the Order. The Blackmarked have no rights, no honor, and no name. They are to be referred to as Blackmarked. If needed to specify, they will be named by their appearance or race. Knights, the officers and idols of the Order, are to remain in the favor of the König or Wachtmeister. To fall far from their graces will result in Blackmarking without the ability to regain rank. Blackmarking is to be seen as the greatest disgrace, to which only death in the Lord Creator’s Light can heal. V. On Faults Faults are simply actions that are committed by Reichmann that are in the wrong and are punishable, either through mental or physical labor. This can include anything from copying books to being whipped in public. Faults generally exist under the cardinal vices: Gula (Gluttony) Fornicatio (Fornication/Lust) Avaritia (Avarice/Greed) Superbia (Hubris, Pride) Tristitia (Sorrow/Despair/Despondency) Ira (Wrath) Vanagloria (Vainglory) Acedia (Sloth) Faults can also be more specific. For example, harboring the condemned is a fault. If a great number of faults are committed, a Reichmann will be sought out for Blackmarking, or might be removed from the Force entirely. Force Armament The Order realizes the tactical and practical advantages of a wide arsenal of weapons, and take notes from many different cultures and societies. This makes them a dangerous force. -Small Arms- Waldenian Zweihänder The Adunian Claymore is a giant sword capable of destroying any foe. Used without a shield, the Claymore is used with two hands. If it does not cut through armour, the sheer trauma of being hit by it is enough to stagger a man. Waldenian Warhammer The Waldenian Warhammer is a fairly bulky weapon of significant weight reserved for the slaying of undead or heavily armored opponents. With a blunt face on one half of the head and a piercing crow’s beak on the other, this weapon serves effectively in the hands of the Revandir family. Salvian Spatha The Salvian Spatha, originally used by the Salvus Shields, is a short sword. Rather than being used for infantry, the Order uses it for cavalry. It is long enough for perfect reach from a mounted soldier to hit a ground target. Kaedreni Longsword The Kaedreni Longsword is the primary weapon of the Reichmann. Long, blunt, and nasty, this sword is mobile and bulky, causing nasty wounds to the receiver. Kaedreni Arbalest The Kaedreni Arbalest is easily the most feared weapon of the foes of the Order of Saint Lucien. Originally used by the Force of the White Rose, the Kaedreni Arbalest pierces through armour like butter. Slow to reload, it is used as a one-shot weapon before being discarded for a sword. It is infamous to Elves and is the chosen weapon against heretics and for checkpoints. -Siege Weapons- The Order has an extensive history as masters of siege weaponry. Jack Rovin, a former member of the infamous White Rose, took his knowledge as an artilleryman in Squad Three and implemented it as soon as he could. In doing this, he continues an old tradition. Hansetian Ballista From the great white north, the Hansetian Ballista is used. Developed by the Teutonic siege engineers, it was widely used by their Hochmeister Mirtok DeNurem and made a great presence at the original Siege of the Dreadfort. It is designed for accurate, long-range fire at personnel, fortifications, and ships. Kaedreni Onager The Order of the White Rose developed this weapon early in their reign. It is effective as a small catapult and works slowly against weaker fortifications at short distances. It is capable of flinging hot pots of oil and basic explosives at enemy positions. Waldenian Trebuchet The Waldenian Trebuchet is an example of a tradition of artillery warfare. Large, intimidating, and powerful, the Waldenian Trebuchet is capable of great damage to all fortifications and at long distances. Waldenian Catapult The Waldenian Catapult is simply a more advanced version of the Kaedreni Onager, working at longer range distances and with more power. Vander Levy -Ranks- -The High Authority- The elders and veterans that figurehead the Force, the ones who have been elevated to the highest form of honour the Kingdom of Aesterwald can offer. Whether they be field commanders or stay within the confines of the Eagle’s Perch, the High Authority is the law and order of the Order. Lord Constable (Wachtmeister) Currently held by the elder Lord Rosencrantz Revandir, the Lord Constable is the Grandmaster Emeritus of the Force and ultimate figure, of power, of the Order besides the König himself. He is addressed as ‘Lord Constable’ or ‘Wachtmeister’. Senior Knight (Ritter-älter) of Aesterwald The battle-hardened knights who have shown loyalty and competence to have entered the personal fold of the Constable’s High Authority. Senior Knights carry out the Constable’s will and command with the rest of the Order, being his eyes and ears when the Constable himself is unable to attend. There is usually only two Senior Knights, though exceptions can be made at times. Senior Knights are addressed as ‘Great Ser’. -The Knights and Officers of Aesterwald- Knight (Ritter) of Aesterwald The officers and idols of the Force, Knights are the men who carry the Order upon their backs. A Knight is truly a fearless warrior, and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armor of faith, just as his body is protected by the armor of steel. He is thus doubly-armed, and need fear neither demons nor men. Knights are to be addressed as 'Ser'. Squire (Knappe) The young lordings and nobles who train under the watchful eye of a Knight of Aesterwald. From polishing armor, practicing their arm in dueling, or writing prayers and stories, squires are under the complete guidance of his Knight. The typical age of a squire is between ten years to seventeen years, with few exceptions. Squires are to be addressed as 'Squire'. -Enlisted- Sergeant (Feldwebel) Those who have proven their blood and worth in the eyes of their Kamerad and superiors shall enter the fold of the Sergeants, the still- youthful warriors who have shined brightly compared to their peers. Sergeant is also the first stepping stone in climbing the hierarchical ladder of the Order. They are to be addressed as 'Kamerad' or 'Sergeant'. Infantry (Fußtruppe) Oathed under the Black Eagle, Infantry are the warriors of the Order who shall bleed and be victorious for their fatherland. Oathed Enlisted are trusted enough to wear the Yellow and Black Cross upon their chest and bosom. They are to be addressed as 'Kamerad'. -Special Roles- Conservator (Konservator) Blacksmithes and artisans, the Conservators are the master of supplies and materials that circulate the mass of the Order. Conservators create the mass intricate webs of supply lines and help keep the Order away from shortages of food, water, weapons, armor, and other assortment of materials. The rank is commonly held by Sergeants and above. Disciplinary (Zuchtmeister) Drilling the Enlisted and Knights is crucial in keeping the chains of the Order intact from gluttony and sloth, and it is the Disciplinaries who guarantee this. Disciplinaries carry the iconic whip, barred and bloodied from the countless Kamerads brought into compliance. The ranks is commonly held by Sergeant and above. Eaglet Regiment The Eaglet Regiment is for the Recruits of the main Army. It is currently led by Raomir Silverblade. Sergeant of the Eaglets (Feldwebel of the Eaglets) The Sergeant of the Eaglet’s is in charge of the new recruits. He is to make sure they have quarter’s and their uniforms. In addition he is to monitor them and is the one who decides when it is their time to advance the ranks and join the main Army. Corporal (Korporal) Corporals assist the Sergeant of the Eaglet Regiment in maintaining and training the force. They are in charge of recruiting and teaching the new one’s the ropes of warfare and life in the North. Recruit (Rekrut) The virgin-blooded, those who may become the next leaders of the Force first show themselves in the mass of the Recruits. They are to be addressed as 'Recruit', 'Initiate', or 'Eaglet'. - Written By Otto Rovin the 'Bald' - Application

*A simple decree would be posted in the halls of the Aulic Council chamber.* Upon the approval of Duke Thoromir of Polaris, the Duchy of Polaris will be broken in half in order to allow the unsettled South Eastern territory to be opened for settlers. Thus the formation of the Territory of Ayr has been approved by the Aulic council and permission will be granted for the citizens beneath Winter to settle within the newly opened terrain independent of Vanderfell and Polaris.

Issued by the Lord Korrektor Edward II acting as minister plenipotentiary to the Aulic Council and Königreich, confirmed by his benevolent majesty, König Jack Rovin, With the intended recipient of his imperial majesty, Emperor Tuvya Sigismundovic Carrion, and the Oreni privy council, In good faith I reply to your letter, focused on the interest of a united and prosperous humanity. The reason behind the Königreich’s separation from the centralized Oreni state was to escape the corruption and tyranny all too often witnessed at the hands of the ruling monarch and council. To feel comfortable re-entering into a political union with this same state, it is one of our chief concerns that the sovereignty of the Waldenian peoples be preserved. All too often we see the word “autonomy” bandied about by the imperial crown; without legitimate protections and rights granted to the constituent bodies, the Prince-Electorate states become mindless arms and legs of the imperial crown without true participatory power in the operation of the central state. In this state of being the lack of representation each federated body has, and the minimized representative legitimacy our Königreich would experience when being one of two true nations among many enfranchised heirs to titular irrelevancies, would have the ultimate effect of marginalizing our people and our nation. While the ultimatum delivered to Aesterwald shares a spirit with our own desired reforms, we cannot fully trust the words of this proposal after seeing the ineffectual nature of elective monarchy in the Imperium Secundus. In this instance, a system of elective monarchy was used as a tool to facilitate the celeritous rise of House Carrion to the imperial throne, then abandoned in all but name to allow for consolidation of absolute power in the imperial crown. This sort of political machination is that which we most dearly fear, for it is our sovereignty and Waldenian brotherhood that shelters us from the ravages of your eastern politics. It is without doubt that we acknowledge certain sacrifices must be made to unify humanity once more, but the extent of these sacrifices must be tempered by reason and remembrance of our histories. It is for this reason that we have proposed a confederal system of governance, whereby the Waldenian people would be ensured continued and absolute sovereignty of domestic self-governance, free from false promises of limited autonomy. Of course, this system as with all others has its shortcomings. I too long for an unified Godfreyan imperial state as I experienced in my youth, but we must question at what cost to the central principles of Aesterwald this may come. You have placed us in a most difficult position with your proposal, for it foreshadows a realization of those same fears of marginalization and limited representation, but there is promise. You allude to a true reformation and empowerment of the Imperial Diet and the Prince-Electors. It is by this manner of reformation that we may reach a healthy compromise that unifies a humanity more free from internal strife, and united in imperial fraternity. In gratitude towards your willingness to enter into peaceful negotiations, I present you with the following counter-terms on behalf of my sovereign and council: The end to Oreni-Waldenian hostilities. The joining of Aesterwald alongside Oren in an elective and constitutional imperial monarchy in which the reigning imperial crown receives its claim both by the grace of god and the consent of the ruled people, and whose capacity for tyranny is limited by the enfranchisement of electors in an empowered legislative body that guarantees each constituent state true representation in the operation of the imperial state. A guarantee of autonomous self-governance of the constituent states free from infringement by the imperial crown, unless in the literal and direct interpretation of the limited powers granted to it in the founding constitution that will be writ to form it. A reformation of the Prince-Elector system so that only monarchs of modern and legitimate nations may hold the ability to participate in this capacity (as determined by the size and productivity of the body which they govern [[read: quantity of claimed and active plots, and legitimate claim to crown]] ), and those heirs to simple titular kingdoms like myself, de Savoie, Chivay, etc. would not hold equal power to ruling monarchs at the head of nations with legitimate and numerous citizens like the König and yourself, unless they can prove their status as modern nations. To compensate for the disenfranchisement of certain lords from the Prince-Electorate body, and to provide other lords and their banner folk that previously had no influence in the operation of the empire, a representative body composed only of those lords with legitimate feudatories with definite and enforced borders ((read: claimed and active plots)) should be created. This would act as an inferior legislative body to the prince-electors in a bicameral congress that moderates and monitors the crown powers, to escape the tyranny of absolute monarchy, to a degree that can be further negotiated and writ into a foundational constitution. The deimperialization of the present Carrion-ruled state, to be reformed in a manner allowing for a legitimate royal body to rule over it in the same manner as our König rules over us, to create an equal sister state to ours that has the same level of representation in a central government, which would be established as its own imperial body over our nations of Aesterwald and Ruska, in addition to any other Prince-Electorate that has the capacity to prove the legitimacy of its title. In this new imperial state, your imperial majesty would be permitted to maintain your station, but jointly as Emperor of Oren and King of Ruska, with a distinction between those titles so that there is not an inequity of your local state to ours, and the legitimacy of the imperial crown is preserved free from a monoculture of one dominant kingdom. The contribution of all armed forces of each participant Prince-Electorate to an imperial militia that is responsible for the defense of the empire when in times of war, in the manner of our predecessors in the Imperium Primus. The depoliticization of the centralized imperial privy, so that it does not function as a decision making body in conflict either with the Prince-Electorate legislature, or the inferior Diet legislature composed of the vassal lords, and the resulting repurposement of the privy so that each councilor purely functions as head of his defined task in the stewardship of the empire as was intended, instead of as feuding statesmen. To ensure this, the legislative bodies will be given the power to nominate and appoint the imperial privy councilors, so that the conciliar body does not become a bastion of absolute monarchism. The collaboration of the legislators, men of law, kings, and advisors of our two states in the writing of a single imperial constitution that will be respected and observed in all manners for the continuance of the unified human state, to provide guidance and moderation to all sources of corruption and concentration of ungodly powers. The recognition of the Königreich of Aesterwald as a legitimate kingdom with de jure claim to its land and titles entering into these negotiations. Recognition that violation of the limitations enumerated in the constitution is grounds for secession by constituent states, following proper procedure of notification and giving the imperial state a chance to amend its wrongs. As with our last proposal, this remains open to negotiation. Bear in mind that both of our nations must make sacrifices, and it may take further negotiation to find this happy medium of agreement. Best wishes to you and yours, and prayers that we may find a middle ground in negotiation that allows us to create a righteous and lasting unified human state. -A.C. / A.

Issued by the Lord Korrektor Edward II of the Aulic Council, at the urging of the König-Emeritus Voron Rovin, and confirmed by the Sovereign in the West, his austere majesty, the König Jack I, With the intended recipient being the Sovereign in the East, his Imperial Majesty, the Holy Emperor Tuvya I, and his Oreni privy council, It is my dearest wish that this letter finds you in good health and conscience. I write to you in a most dire of times for our race. In the North, the fiend Iblees has been freed of his ancient bondage. Our subjects, of Aesterwald and Oren both, have a vested brotherly interest in the safeguarding our race and realm. It has come to the attention of our most austere König that continued tensions between our nations can only lead to a fractured humanity in the face of true evil. In light of this, the König and his Aulic Council offers the following terms detailing the formation of a confederacy of our states: The end to Oreni-Waldenian aggression. Any violent conflicts should be brought to attention of the sovereign of the state from which they originated, and shall be dealt with according to local custom or a fine of 10 cubic measures of iron. The formation of a confederal government in which each state administers to her own domestic enterprises, but must confer together for decisions influencing foreign policy. The formation of a confederate militia, which can be called upon to defend either or both states if they are under threat significant threat from inhuman powers, the most immediate of which being the Iblees. The moderation and peaceful resolution of any intraracial conflicts that may arise between the human states, so that our fellow men may live in brotherhood and harmony. The establishment of the entity of the Confederacy of Human States (CHS), the foundational principles and constitution of which are reflected in this document. This confederacy will further hold the following immediate goals as tantamount: Establishment of treaties with extranational powers, so that a united mortal defense may be raised against any transgressions by the accursed iblees. End of human on human violence, and the unity of our most noble race. Recognition of the sovereignty by each of the other state. In this, the stated goals of both our austere König and your imperial majesty are achieved, unity, brotherhood, and peace are foun in the face of that greatest evil and one humanity is preserved. These values which we all hold true, and our shared blood as sons and daughters of Horen, is that inner spirit which I call upon now. Accept this offer, and let us live free from a world in which brother slays brother, and united in a world in which we stand shield to shield against the evil threat. -A.C. / A. ((OOC Note - This is merely a proposition, and thus can be negotiated on via the open letter. EX: The term of confederacy, ETC.

Artifacts The Order has a long history, and during this time, has amassed a large number of artifacts and other assortments of goods. ‘Triumph’ The Holy Sword of the Exalted Godfrey, Triumph was the blade that Godfrey used when he carved the First Empire of Humanity. The Golden Age of Humanity has long since gone, but his grand sword remains, gifted to Jack Rovin for his service to the Church. The Sword of the Exalted Owyn Owyn I, successor of his father Horen and younger brother of Haren, is one of the most remarked individuals in history, uniting humanity from the wreck that his older brother had caused and led the first purist movement, strengthening the bonds of humanity to help subdue infighting. Exalted Owyn’s sword was granted to the Order by Lucien II, High Pontiff during the original founding of the Order. The Skull of the Exalted Owyn This holy bone has had over seventy confirmed and countless unconfirmed miracles, making the Skull of the Exalted Owyn one of the Order’s most prized possessions. Having survived centuries from Owyn’s original death, the skull if truly a sight to behold. The skull was granted to the Order by Lucien II. The Hand of Godanistan Claimed during the Lucirusko wars, this weapon, a blessed golden blade, served as the former symbol of the Creator’s chosen for those who followed the Ruskan Orthadox Sect. Since then the Hand of Godanistand has been sealed away as a trophy for the Lucien Victory over the Ruskan people. Military History The Adunian-Ruskan War Siege of Shadow Castle, c. 1439 ((Saturday, November 13th, 2013)) Those that were to form the holy order were known as the Vandorian Order. This early band of mercenary soldiers fought freely and righteously to preserve what was left of the Human government. In record time, a defensive fortress with counter-siege equipment was formed on the flank of the castle of Schattenburg. This maneuver arguably saved the Ruskan and Stafyr defenders from being surrounded and annihilated. Battle of the Nations' Crossing River Shortly after being formed, the Order of Saint Lucien, with the permission of Lucien II, worked alongside the Orenian army at the 2nd Battle of Nations' Crossing. In the battle, the Order was responsible for building the entire siegeworks and most of the equipment behind the lines. A breach in the wall was also made, and the Lucienist forces effectively flanked and cut off the Dwarvern army from retreat. Siege of Fort Indigo The Orenian Army and Order of Saint Lucien followed up their victory at Nations' Crossing with a tactical stalemate at the Siege of Fort Indigo. Battle of the Savoie Fields After facing harassment from the Coal Miners' Union, the Order of Saint Lucien embarked on an investigation, finding evidence of a connection between the Coal Miners' Union and the 'Union', a group of Orenian separatists. Enraged over the findings, the Coal Miners' Union, People of Flotsam, and allies including a force of Orcs and Decterum deserters, formed and met a Lucienist force at the Savoie Fields. The Lucienists, now wielding a contingent of Elven and Kharajyr auxiliaries, decisively defeated the Union forces in a swift flanking maneuver, securing dominance over the region. Standoff at the Old Cloud Temple During the Church Reformation instigated by Wilfriche Buron, who threatened a schism, the Order of Saint Lucien guarded a meeting between Regulus and Wilfriche at the Old Cloud Temple. They were shortly besieged by a Ruskan-Orcish force. After sending out for help, Faiz Kharadeen spotted a friendly force of Kharajyr auxiliaries, and the joint force destroyed the entire Ruskan-Orcish insurrection. Massacre of the Orcish Sands ((Saturday, April 5th, 2014)) After the Dwarves, Orcs, and Alrasians formed into a united union, known as the Krugdanistan Bloc, the Orenian Army and Order of Saint Lucien marched out for battle. While the Orenian force was dealing with confusion near the city of Vekaro, the Lucienist soldiers on the front were massacred relentlessly. Reformation of the Holy Orenian Empire Upon the death of King Heinrich, a successor was chosen from within the Carrion family: Franz-Joseph Carrion. As the Lucienist force was in court, Franz-Joseph attempt to crown himself king, using an impostor of High Pontiff Regulus. Noticing the action, the Order attempted to investigate. They were met with a sudden and violent Scourge attack, which they repelled. Afterwards, they were framed for attempting to assassinate the to-be King. On the resignation of Regulus, the Grand Prior of the Order of Saint Lucien, Michael d' Longueville, was elected as High Pontiff, taking the name Pius II. Under his direction, with the assistance of Archbishop John of Darfey, the Order managed to trick the Decterum, a Carrion military order, into thinking that their betrayal of Franz-Joseph would lead to the reign of Lord Ailred Rutheren. The joint force attacked the city of Vekaro, killing the Carrion loyalists. Afterwards, a council of regents was made, with Grandmaster Jack Rovin acting as Governor, Lord Ailred Rutheran as the Marshal, and Bishop Viros as the Church Liaison. After two years, Peter Chivay and his men returned from the Great Exodus, and he was crowned after a saint came down from the sky to support him. Siege of Mount Augustus ((Sunday, April 13th, 2014)) Swiftly, Grandmaster Jack Rovin attempted to end all root of Carrion loyalty. In a day, he transformed Vekaro into a massive siegework, and negotiated a joint operation with Urugan. The joint force, as well as a group of former White Rose, attacked the fortified mountain, quickly discovering it was only a massive death trap. Magically, the tower resisted collapse, and the defenders held out. Standoff at the Church of Saint Adeotatus Siege of the City-State of Fenn The Imperium Tertius - Krugdanistan Bloc War The Formation of Aesterwald and the War of Humanity Skirmish, The Embers of Embermoor ((Sunday, October 10th, 2014)) In the midst of night upon the 7th of Sun's Smile, 1476 the reformed Order of Saint Lucien lead by the Wachtmiester Rosencrantz van Aesterwald, Patriarch of House Revandir, lead the Lucien forces alongside the remaining coalition between Oren, the Rexdom, and The Grand Kingdom of Urguan against the Necromancers of the Embermoor. With the Aid of Iblees upon their side the Necromancers had depleted only less than a half of the Military force present. Upon the break of dawn the cursed magi of Embermoor were defeated as well as the supporting Iblees Cultist factions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwU37osOkQA As the wind whistled through the mountain peaks of the northern kingdom, and the eagles graced the sky, the inhabitants of the growing city of Vanderfell amassed in the streets as plated soldiers and mailed knights stood at attention, making clear the road. All were watching and waiting for even the slightest of movement from the gates of the Palace on the hill. This was the day that the Kingdom would see her second king, and the abdication of her first. Indeed, this was not an occasion for questions or publicity, but for joy and jubilation. At once, the mighty gate was drawn open, and the crowd began to cheer, blared out by the trumpets and horns of the Aesterkorps. The triumphant marches were accompanied by the stomps of marching golden tabards, advancing from the hillside. Following, notable men of nobility, Rymeul Elendil, Rosencrantz Revandir, and Faiz Kharadeen. All men of commission wore the same golden tabards, and those without wore costumes of finery and regality, showing their status by their swaggering airs and pompous expressions. These men were followed by the Pious Canons of Saint Lucien, comprised of several acolytes and priests, heralded by their Bishop, vested in beautiful clothing, and wearing the blood stained stole of High Pontiff Pius II. Behind the Bishop came the armored King of Aesterwald, his lofty crown gently placed on his head, as he graced the ground he walked. The parade led the Royal party to the Church. The Church of Saint Godwein was built by the finest and strongest workers of the Kingdom, patronized by His Excellency, the Diocesan Bishop of Vanderfell, to be the Diocesan seat. It was especially decorated for the occasion of the Coronation and properly vested with pomp and sanctity. His Excellency, vested in the costumes of his Office, genuflects to the Lorraine Cross, as does his Acolytes and Priests. Following this gesture, His Excellency turns and, with eyes downcast, he proclaims in a loud voice, commanding as it behooves him. The Bishop stands with his hands together, and as he prays, the present clergy bows their heads. Fratres, Oremus! Patris Omnipotens, Deus, gratiam et benedictionem suscipiat hac preces, dilectum filium, Rex noster. Oramus te, ergo, sicut nisi regem Deus totius mundi apud laudem et adoratione. E nomine Tuo, Oramus. Common Tongue: Brothers and Sisters, Let us pray! All knowing Father, accept our petition for graces and blessings on this, your anointed son, our King. We pray, then, in thanksgiving and adoration of you as Sovereign king of all the world In your name, we pray. Following the prayer in the ancient language of man, a universal language that binds together all cultures be them Hansetian, Kaedreni, Orenian, or Waldenian, in an effort to affirm the Creator as the Creator of all man and monster, the Bishop bows his head and pauses. The Bishop then turns and genuflects again to the Cross, as the royal anthem sounds and His Royal and Apostolic Majesty, Voron, King of Aesterwald, is ushered to the Altar by an acolyte, and his son, Arn. The Bishop, King, Prince, and acolyte then genuflect at once, the acolyte and Prince then retreating solemnly back to their positions in the Church. In a gesture of adoration to God, the monarch bows and reverence the ring of the bishop’s ring before stepping back, allowing the bishop to speak, “May all men and may our God take witness, for this is the abdication of our King and lord, Voron.” The Bishop then turns back to His Majesty and pauses. The King then receives his sword and, kneeling, places it at the foot of the Altar and genuflects. Then, His Majesty remains kneeling as an acolyte approaches the king, genuflecting to the True Cross, and lifts the crown from his head and places the headpiece on a pillow on the altar. The King then stands to address the congregation, “May all men and may our God take witness, for this is my abdication of Us, your King and lord, Voron.” Escorted by the Acolyte, the King is lead back to a pew with his family. The Bishop turns and genuflects again before turning to the congregation, “Let us pray. Brothers and sisters, pray now for our abdicated monarch emeritus and for the well being of the kingdom.” The Bishop genuflects to the Cross again and takes his Cathedra, as a levyman in the vestibule of the Church sounds a trumpet fanfare and announces “All kneel, and pay honor to the King-apparent, Gott schutze den Konig!” A hymn is sounded, and Jack Rovin is escorted by twelve bannerman, strong and vested in the tabard of the Aesterkorps. As the Aesterkorps makes an archway of saber, the crowd murmurs lightly, as the king to-be-crowned, can be seen donning a crisp white tabard with a red cross adorning his breast; the old tabard of the Order of Saint Lucien, a symbol of the old meeting the new. As the elder Grandmaster approaches the cross, joining the bishop in a genuflection in unison, the King remains kneeling, in deep prayer, as the bishop departs, climbing the stone steps to the pulpit. The Congregation remains knelt, the hymns go silent, and the church follows as well. “Fratres, I welcome you to this occasion as we celebrate this most joyous day in honor of our God, king and people. We say in earnest ‘Ein volk, ein konig, ein Gott’. We look at this king among men, my blessing only an affirmation of his piety and grandeur. He kneels here in prayer for himself and you, in petition and thanksgiving, in intercession and in pleading: exhorting you to do the same. We offer you this reading, for you to remember and reflect, ‘I am the Lord God without peer, and I ordered the estates of the men of the earth, and I have ordained the nature of all things, and created the path I set before thee. And as I have ordained the ordering of estates, so have I ordained thine own path, and established the great structure of My world. For I have given to thee thy station and birth, and I have established the great order. And thou shalt be without envy of the privilege of others, for all virtuous paths are equal in Mine eyes, and all shall be awarded not according to station, but to virtue.’ The word of God! May all here present witness these words, and act with them, remember that those that march against this sacred ground of God’s anointed recall that he who chose to affront Horen and all of virtue fell. May no man or beast show his face in violence against this, our King or God! Recall that Our God and Lord who pronounced those words appoint and bless Our Apostolic King and provide us with shepherds." The bishop leaves his pulpit and returns to the sanctuary to receive Jack, now standing. Two acolytes approach the altar, reverencing it, one lifts the saber and one the crown and stands to wait on the Bishop by his Cathedra. The King apparent approaches the Bishop and kneels before him, returning to a prayerful posture. The Bishop casts down his eyes to the knelt king and takes the sword “Majesty, with this sword, I exhort you to defend your kingdom, defend the faith, and defend your life. I honor you this sword of the Kingdom.” The bishop then hands the sword to the kneeling king and sheaths his new granted sword. The acolyte then walks away, out of view and returns with a gilded cope with a Lorraine cross adorned on one shoulder and a double headed eagle on the other. The Bishop then handles the crown, and returned his gaze to the king “With this crown, Majesty, I exhort you to rule as God’s anointed, and rule in God’s stead as King of Creation and Aesterwald. With this crowning, I give you God’s blessing as King of Aesterwald. May God bless you and keep you safe and just.” With these words the Bishop gently places the bejewelled crown on his head and gestures for him to stand, as the King stands, the acolyte vests him with the golden cope. The Congregation, overwhelmed with national pride, erupts in applause and cheers, and the king stands, proudly, nodding in appreciation. The Bishop raises his hand in benediction and turns to his king “I bless you now, Your Royal and Apostolic Majesty, Frederick, King of Aesterwald and all Vassals” Upon this pronouncement, the congregation erupts once more in applause. With a smile, the King nodded to an Acolyte, who wielded a scroll of crisp parchment and, unfurling it, knelt before the king and held the scroll out for the king to read “We say this, now to Our people. We declare and vow before God and His Holy Church, our mother, before Our family, before Our soldiers here in company, and before Our people. We vow now and oath to protect the Church, to stand for God, and to propagate the Faith. We vow to honor tradition, family, and property and to ensure a roof for all subjects. We vow to retain Our sovereignty for God and Nation. We vow to ensure the purity of man and the Waldenian culture. Finally, We vow to be earnest and sincere, just and worthy of this crown and this sword. Pray for Us as We shall pray for you. God preserve Our Aesterwald!” Upon the utterance of his last word, a blaring fanfare is heard, and the men of arms rise and begin the recessional parade. The Aesterkorps march to the National strains, and the nobleman and men of gentry follow suite. The Clergymen then rise and lead the Bishop, followed by the Royal Family and the king himself. As the parade leaves the Church, the soldiers begin to chant. “O, du schoner Aesterwald! Over your heights the wind whistles so fine However, the great big sun does shine Thrusts deep in the heart! O, du schoner Aesterwald! Are known far and wide True people of good pride No falsehood there to trace!” As the parade files into the Castle, proper, the King assumes the throne, the Bishop, and the Privy Council surrounding, the crowds spilling out into the stairs. Two Acolytes appear from behind the throne and present the King with an Orb and Scepter, which he takes, both in either hand and smiles as applause erupts yet again. “May Our subjects take heart! Let this be a solid union of Altar and Crown, of Cross and Sword. May God bless Our reign and may He bless Aesterwald.” With this, the levyman shout their cry, “Gott schutze den Konig!” the crowd responds with cheers and applause, as the King gracefully makes his way behind the throne and out of sight; concluding the day’s event and securing prosperity for days to come.

Waldenian (the tongue of Aesterwald) is a dialect of the main branch Hansetian, so in a way, very similar to Marian, not Kaedrini. And its not really its own language either, just a twist on basic vocabulary and other minor sounds of actual Hansetian.
