Definitions What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying when you play as a certain made-up character and interact with others, developing a storyline much like interactive literature. The player performs actions and interacts with their surroundings just as his/her character would. What's metagaming?: Metagaming is when a player uses knowledge gained or already known from their out of character experience to affect their in game character's knowledge. For instance, if you knew a certain character's name was "Mark" but your in game character comes up to a stranger (to them) and says "Hi, Mark" that wouldn't be realistic as your character hasn't yet learned Mark's name. What's powergaming?: Powergaming is when you make a character with all powerful and positive traits, such as smart, beautiful, strong, skilled, and musical all at the same time without any flaws. This makes an unrealistic character and one with too many advantages. In-Character Information What's your character called?: Kaye Fardrum What race are they?: High Elf What gender are they?: Female Biography: Kaye's mother was married to a man of high status in Haelun'or. After many years of trying, she finally found out that she was pregnant with Kaye. When Kaye was born they found that she had one light green and one gray, this only being because Kaye was blind in her right eye. Kaye's mother though, had been studying abroad with her cousin some weeks before she found she was pregnant and not wanting to "betray her family any longer" the cousin revealed that Kaye's mother had had an affair with another man. Kaye's mother was exiled on a stormy night for betraying her race and giving birth to a possible non-Mali'Aheral. Travelling for many miles in the storm, Kaye's mother came upon a small inn on the side of the road. Leaving Kaye at the door, her mother stumbled off, presumably taking her own life. Kaye was raised by the kind innkeeper, Yenya Fardrum, and gifted with an extraordinary voice, which very often brought in more patrons. Kaye was very sweet and charming, with her flower crowns and care-free smile. Kaye was living a happy life with Mother Yenya until she was twelve. One tired night, with no new visitors, an Olog wandered into the inn and started raiding the large food storage. Mother Yenya carelessly stepped in, quickly angered, the Olog brutally killed the frail, old, Wood Elf. A few days later, a Druid Wood Elf. Travelling with her newfound friend, Kaye learned of the wonders of the world and started making her own songs about Druidism. Kaye spent many years studying Druidism and travelling. By the time she was 16 her companion caught the Plague and passed away. Kaye ended up joining a ring of pickpockets in Aeriel, but left when the leader of the groupb blackmailed and beat her. Kaye is now a young 18. Personality: Kaye is very sweet by nature but a somewhat dark and weathered side. She despises anyone of orcish descent for obvious reasons but is very accepting and tolerant to any race other than them. Kaye is extremely loyal and protective, but doesn't trust completely very easily, though it may not seem that way due to her charismatic disposition. Ambitions: Being relatively young, Kaye is sort of a free spirit. She's open to anything, but especially loves performing. Does she have special skills? What are her weaknesses?: Kaye is a very skilled singer and plays some harpsichord. Kaye also has rather good pickpocketing skills and with her innocent smile, can scam and manipulate almost anyone. Due to her scrawny build and blind eye, Kaye isn't a very good fighter, Look: Kaye has fair skin and light blonde hair. She is around 5'11" and is very thin. She has one light green eye as well as a gray, blind one. She has high cheekbones with a pink coloration. Her long hair is worn pulled back into a braid going down her back and around her pointed ears sits a flower crown.
