You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): No, but I do have a question about Lore. The Lore is quite confusing to me, you say you're a Lord of The Rings-based Server in Minecraft. By this do you mean you have Based you Lore on LOTR, or it's the Lore from LOTR. I think somewhere it mentioned the server was set in the 2nd Age, not the 3rd Age, that I am familiar with. If you could answer this question for me, that would be smashing. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: By my own curiosity and interest, basically via Google. What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of taking on a Persona, wether that persona is Real or Fictional. You behave, Physically and Psychologically like said Persona, most Roleplaying takes place in Historical Eras/Fictional Universes. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the act of obtaining previously gained knowledge, in OOC of course, and using that to provide an In-game advantage over other Players. For example, Someone mentions there's a raid ocurring (Location), now you are aware of the raid ocurring, in said location, but your Ropleplay character is not aware of that information, due to the fact he must gain this knowledge through RP. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is, basically, forcing a certain action upon a Player, giving the Player no chance to Counter-act said action, leaving the Player impotent. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Dúon, third Son of Goranon and Mérithl, was born in the Magnificent City Annil'Sul. He was quite fortunate to have been born, due to the curse of infertility set upon the Elves. His life was easy and studious in his early years, doing nothing more than memorising knowledge from the many books his father awarded to him. He had always been fascinated by Ancient Languages, Runes and other sorts akin. He spent the grand majority of his time inquiring and exploring various articles, like most Elves, his mind grew quicker than his body, enabling him to think, logically and in a more complex way than any other Child of another Race. His Father worked alongside the council, for many decades. His Father still lives, at the age of 892, his life slowly coming to an end. His Mother on the other hand worked at home, nurturing and guarding the Future of their Son. Dúol's parents are Puritans and are quite wealthy, he was brought up with the ideology of Racism, thriving in his juvenile mind. He was taught to look down upon the "Inferior Races" and that they were nothing but "Scum". But, Dúol was always a curious child, wondering what made them "Inferior", he questioned his own Purity at some point, due his fascination and friendliness towards other races, but this, this is a secret that he keeps even to this very day, under lock and key. During his "Adulthood", aged 231, his mind developed even further, having a great extent on knowledge on many subjects, but what he lacked the most, what no Intelligence could replace, were Emotions. His Parents became aware of this, shortly after he had behaved in a peculiar manner around relatives, so to speak, he has no Empathy. Growing up to be a Sociopath of some sort, he knew the meaning of all the different Emotions and observed, day after day, mimicking people's emotions with astonishing accuracy, and so, he found his solution. But then again, this does not resolve the fact that he owns no emotions. After his Father stopped working with the Council, Dúol became intrigued with Politics and seeked to enter the world of Politics. His Father was a talented man, not only in Politics, but also in Swordsmanship. Yes, he chose the rather unconventional Sword over Magic. He passed a few of his talents onto his Son, hoping these talents would descend through the Family Tree. When he reached his 432nd Birthday, his Parents grew old and Weary. Of course Dúol still "Loved" them, if he could feel such a feeling, but began to lose interest. He moved onto his other ambitions later on in his life. He was still fascinated in Runes and Languages of Old, so, he went to study some Ruins, alongside an Institution that took part in the research of ancient Languages, and he stumbled upon some interesting runes, that still puzzle him to this very day, they read: am the bringer of Light My hand reaches into the fog of Darkness One day i shall be avenged And one day they shall witness My greatness, like the old age As I mentioned previously, his interest was still alight, and this was just kindling to his intrigue. Apart from that, he carried on performing daily task that every Elf would and his life carried on, like any other with his peculiar, yet intriguing life, full of an amalgamation of interests, carried on... Personality Traits: He is a very curious Elf, and a generous one at that. His generosity also presents a side of cautiousness to strangers and other Races. He is Educated and Well-Mannered, like his Father. He lives quite and Ordinary life, apart from the fact he has no Empathy. He cannot feel emotions, only "Act" them out, or pretend to have emotions, but his condition has improved over the years, gradually. His thoughts can be strange and is considered slightly "Ab-normal", by people that know Dúol well. He is also a very intellectual being. Ambitions: He seeks to enter the intriguing world of Politics, like his Father Strengths/Talents: A good Swordsman and an Athletic person. He can learn new information quickly and can memorise complex information. Also he is a master of deceit and persuasion, after all, he has no Empathy and it's the only way he can have a "Normal" life, by hiding it. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Lack of Empathy and Emotions, this has created a huge barrier for Loving and Caring about people and it has ruined some of his relationships. Also, he isn't as strong as other Races, although he is stronger than an average Elf. Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): He does not bear the Platinum Hair of his Father, but the slightly Darker Blonde hair of his Mother that stretches down to his shoulders and beyond. He wears a Silver coronet around his forehead, given to him by his Mother during his Adolescence. He has Dark eyes like his Father and raised Eyebrows. He wears a Beige robe around him, he partially uses this as a cloak of some kind, connected across his chest, via a small silver link, embroidered with patterns. Under his robe he wears a white garment and a brown belt, under his garments, he wears a thin layer of mithril armour, purchased by his Father for his own protection when he reached his 300th Birthday. Finally, he wears a pair black leather boots, with brown soles. He measures around 2.1 Metres, quite a tall height for an Elf and weighs approximately 94 Kg. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Celebrimbor, first son of Daleanaer, of House Fëarnor. A noble by birth, and a proud and wise one at that. His early years were docile and dull, not much occurred throughout Celebrimbor's early life. His father Daleanear (Delanaer) worked, for almost his entire life, as a Warrior, not only using magic, but the rather conventional sword and shield, embroidered with Gold and Precious Jewels, like his Armour. . Unfortunately, he died Fighting the descendants of the undead, in what was left of his Father's Tomb. He was able to hold them off with his bow and sword for a short period, until he retreated behind a door, barricaded himself in, and faced his fate. The last words he said, were his prayers before he was slain... Whatever his fate be, he's long gone. On the other hand, his mother Mírhail (Mìrhail) of Asulon, a most noble nation of the Mali'Ahearal, was very loving to Celebrimbor, especially after the fall of Daelanear and his soldiers. Apart form his very docile childhood, when he reached the age of 59, he started studying the Art of War, consisting of Tactics and Strategy. He was more interested in controlling Elves, rather then serving under them in War. When his father's death came, he had reached 235, his knowledge of War sparked up inside him, wanting to crush the Undead that came into his path. Enraged by the death, he couldn't withstand the amalgamation of emotions that had been stirred up inside of him. His mother buckled under emotional stress, which led to her death, when Celebrimbor was 312. His opinion on other "Sub-races" of Elves, isn't that bad. He looks down upon them, but does not abuse them in such ways that the Puritans do. He has mastered various kinds of ancient languages including Elvish and is able to read Runes. Celebrimbor is alone in this world, but still reaches out into the fog of night and darkness, to diminish the power of the great Evil that currently exists, after being deceived by the darkness within. From here on, at the age of 491, he still searches for peace, even though it seems obscure and pointless... What are they like? (personality): - Celembrimbor is Generous, almost too generous, but on the other side of his generosity, he presents caution, due to his past. He's not entirely peaceful, his thoughts are quite militaristic and he despises Orq Races, and not to mention the Undead. He doesn't show any aggressive behaviour towards his own kin and is Polite, well-educated and well-mannered. What are their ambitions?: - T0 recover from the irreversible death of his father. He seeks to recover from his loss, instead of dwelling on it. He also aspires to enter the world of Politics. Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - He's skilled in the Art of War and Swordfighting. Also he can be very convincing, at the same time he can be deceiving. His main weakness is his lack of emotions, he can be very blunt in emotional circumstances, damaging other people, this is due to his deep emotional scars from his Father's Death. You'd normally expect his weakness to be his father's death, but it quite the contrary, he doesn't allow his emotions to blind him or to cloud his mind. Give us a description of how they look?: - He has slightly Darker hair than the usual High Elf, almost Chestnut, but not quite like his father's. He wears a silver coronet around his forehead, resembling his noble descent and a beige cloak with golden lining that acts as a cloak, connected across his chest via a metal link. His undergarments consist of a white robe with silver patterns on it and some thin mithril armour under his robe, for defence. His eyes glow a dark black, his skin is Pale, but not white. He's lightweight and approximately 2.1 Metres tall.
