Example : Kayla held the Orc in a chokehold and proceeded to stab his skull at lightning speed before he finally died seconds later. In-Character Information Character’s name: Kayla Denn Character’s gender: Female Character’s race: Human Character’s age: 20 Biography; Kayla Denn hailed from a family residing in Petrus for a time of her life, her father and mother rather simple people. In her youth she often suffered abuse from both parents, which led her to never understanding the meaning of love. Even worst as a result was her anxiety and hateful, untrusting nature. In truth, she doesn't always mean what she says, but sometimes her outbursts and anger are uncontrollable. The best solution she has for this is to prevent people from getting close to her, but this has only made matters worst since she has always lacked someone for guidance. In 1483 at the age of 18, when Petrus was overthrown by supporters of Renatus, her family fled fearing the new leadership with her alongside them. They began a nomadic lifestyle, with most of their possessions left behind and only a purse or two of Minas left to sustain them. By the winter of 1484, they had run out of goods to barter with and moved into the forests of Adrallan. One day, Kayla and her mother were struck with a terrible illness, and her father while still healthy left them for mercenary work to hopefully pay for a cleric. Unfortunately, he had never returned, and her mother died within only a week of his departure. Fearing for her life, she made one final effort to reach the Cloud Temple, but only got as far as Annil'sun before falling unconscious to the intense fever. When she woke up, her memory of the person she was had all but faded, with only the recollection of her parents and their demise (except her father, who remains unknown). She had been saved by Monks and returned to the Cloud Temple, given a second chance at life. Now, Kayla seeks redemption into the lands of Athera, rather than redemption upon her parents. Since waking up, she had the odd desire to wield a sword, and her desire for knowledge in any number of professions in this new life became apparent. Alone (which she had already become used to) and scarred by the past, she sees this as a chance for change. Personality Traits: Shy, anxious (sometimes relaxed), quiet, committed. Ambitions: Forging a future of change in herself, and to start a new life. Strengths/Talents: Aspiring fighter, excellent debater/good at winning arguments. Kayla's memory is fadeing quickly. She is forgetting most of her past life and doesn't know where to go from here. She was always growing up as a loner and soon she realizes this is a "normal" thing. Kayla has never known what love is. Her family mistreated her and has caused Kayla to become full of hatred and anxiety. She says things she doesn't mean and can't control her anger. For this reason, she never lets anyone into her life. Instead of friends she's better off with acquaintances. Personality Traits: Shy, relaxed, quiet. Ambitions: Starting a new life.
