Definitions What is roleplaying?: When you play or act out the role of a fictional character. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when you use information obtained through OOC means (I.E. over Skype) to your IC character's advantage. For example, you know that you're leading your character into a trap, but your character doesn't know that, so giving your character that knowledge is metagaming. What is powergaming?: According to my research, there are mmany types of powergaming. However, I am assuming this is an acceptable answer. Powergaming is when you play in a way that solely focuses on rapidly increasing your statistics rather than actually participating in the roleplay. In-Character Information Character’s name: Elunir Lúinwë Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: High Elf Character’s age: 30 Biography: Elunir was born in the Fringe in Tahn'siol in 1462. A vain and selfish single child, and he liked it that way. He considered himself more important than anyone else, including his parents. Concerning behavior, no doubt. He was a rude child that took any opportunity to insult another person, and it does not appear he ever grew out of it. Nonetheless, his kind and loving parents adored him. After just a few years of his life, Elunir was led into entering Thales through the portal by his parents who then died from Khorvad's Grip days later. This affected him little, as he tends to shake off death rather quickly, and it was not as if he cared about his parents all that much. "Death is death. To mourn is to be weak." was what he said. He lived in Thales for a very short time, so short that he had no time to do anything, really, before traveling to Athera, where he has lived in Annil'sul in Haelun'or ever since. There he practices archery, and continues to attempt to figure out what he wants to do with his life. Personality Traits: Elunir is feisty, vain, but intelligent. He values his life above all else and he considers himself more important than anyone around him. He tends to look down on even other elves, but above all else he despises dwarves. He panics in tight situations, but manages to appear calm and collected at all times. To sum it up, he is wise, but selfish. Ambitions: His ambitions are not clear to even himself. His ambitions change often and generally fit the scenario or condition he is currently in. Because of this, he often confuses himself and has trouble amounting to anything. Strengths/Talents: He is talented at both bow and sword, but more so the former. He is not particularly strong, but he is fast, and quiet. Very quiet. He is tall, but he can surprisingly fit into small spaces. Weaknesses/Inabilities: He refuses to admit he is wrong, and often jumps to conclusions. He is vain, and values his safety above all others'. He would not consider that a weakness, however. He is not exactly strong, and he is considered obnoxious. He makes enemies quickly and is quite picky about who he chooses to be his allies or even rarer, his friends.
