Violence came and went as a sea of sails; the twice-damned citadel laid low by ruthless mischance. Corpses of the once-proud red berserkers peppered the rock-ribbed land with a crimson veneer amidst the evening, discernible from the deck of the departing vessel through belightening flashes of pale fire and the two-tone kiss of moonbeams. Above as below, the moon hung her heavy gaze over the waters; rippled with the tide, with torchlight, displaced by the auspicious hurrahing of battered yet victorious men.

Billy stood abreast his brothers-in-arms upon the port side deck of the Ben Quadinaros, drawing psychological comfort from the tug of a prince pipe. The smoke curled. He lazily watched it go.

    "So, what's next?"

  2. 10th of Malin's Welcome, 1638

    Saint Owyn's Palace, Adelburg, Oren.

There was no rest for the young emperor, it seemed. Lips thinned, John of Marna - now regally known by sanguineous right as John VII - tapped his fingers twice, thrice on the rounded, oaken table before him. Though but a boy, his silvery eyes betrayed in age as they scanned over the proclamation - the regents nothing more to him than strangers on a page.

It was then that he felt the all-too familiar dryness creep over his throat; it worked its way down into his stomach, and tapped quietly at the space behind his teeth. The words of a bygone mentor resounded in a dim, nagging place in his mind.

"A movement that wants to renew the world must not serve the present, but the future; and if, by the instrument of governmental power, a people is being led toward its destruction, then rebellion is not only the right of every member of such a people - it is their unequivocal duty."

    He swallowed bitterly.

    Discord Name and Tag:

    What is your timezone?:

    EST

How do you wish to work on the wiki?:

Writing and formatting pages, updating old lore, fact checking specifics, editing, proofreading, adding fitting media - anything, really. I can work well with a team, and I am no stranger to collaborating on large projects.

Have you worked on the, or any wiki before?:

Once, on another server’s wiki - though as of last evening I’ve begun to add to LotC’s.

Which lore are you most familiar with?:

Undoubtedly human lore, as I know of its daily dealings, wars, general history, and prominent figures.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you are not satisfied with and list aspects that could be improved:

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Adelburg

Horribly outdated, primitive in appearance, and scarce in terms of useful information yet plentiful in regards to superfluous details.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you see as a model example and list your reasoning:

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=John_I,_Holy_Orenian_Emperor

Beautifully written, Eseterlen's page sets the bar for any subsequent character pages. Easy on the eyes, informative, intricately detailed, and accurate to actual in-game events and happenings.

Please showcase your abilities with either:

    1. A short writing on the subject of your choosing.

    2. An example of an 'other' (Already completed wiki pages are a plus!).

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=John_V,_Holy_Orenian_Emperor

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Peter_II,_Holy_Orenian_Emperor

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Hughes_I_of_Lotharingia

The above are primarily stubs which I've yet to flesh out properly. I would submit more, though the vast majority of my other writings for the server consist of monarchical enactments and decrees that hold no place or relevance here.

  5. Pepin de Bar, Peter II’s chamberlain, sipped psychological comfort from a glass of spiced rum. The alcohol did the trick, but the pepper burning his lips and tongue kept him awake into these small hours of morning. In the midst of the flaying knife, surrounded by vicious, bloodthirsty dogs of war, the Prince maintained his conviction - his homage ever to the Empire. The words reverberated in a tormented corner of his mind; and, with reflexes reduced to the equivalent of a burnt-out nerve by the extent of his drunken stupor, he hurled the small square of parchment a courier had delivered to him prior into the crackling inferno of the nearby fireplace, throat swelling with determination.

  6. Just goes to show that Nexus - at the very least the PvP aspect of it - should be done away with in its entirety. The amount of threads that have gone up petitioning for its removal are countless. This only adds fuel to the fire.
