Definitions
Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!
What is roleplaying?: When you pretend to be a character in game. This means that your knowledge, speech, personality and actions should match with your character.
What is metagaming?: When you use non-RP real world actions (for example looking up an opponent's stats in order to more easily defeat them, or Skypeing a friend to give them information instantly or ask them for help) to gain an advantage in RP.
What is powergaming?: Dictating the actions of others by not letting them respond to an emote or godmode. This would be giving the character non-realistic capabilities. (for example saying "*kills his enemy in one stroke" instead of saying "*takes a good swing at his enemy" or saying "*kills the entire enemy army singlehandedly" without giving the enemy a chance to react).

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to
add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):
Sindavar was born in Tahn'siol as civilization fled from The Fringe. An unusually frail and weak baby with rare black eyes, healers feared that he had been affected in the womb by his pregnant mother passing through the Door of Eternity. They also worried that because Sindavar's mother had been sick from Khorvad's Grip at the time of his birth, Sindavar might also have the dreaded illness. However, Sindavar survived through the portal to Athera and the hardships of the first weeks there. Though his mother was killed by the undead when he was 3, Sindavar grew up steadily and became a kind, funny, and healthy elf with many friends. His father, Sundaval, taught him all he knew about swordfighting, survival, history, math, science, and the family trade - architecture. Sindavar grew to love architecture, and as he aged he would to admire the massive walls of Haelun'or from his home in Ker'nor. At age 46, Sindavar's father's building company became known as Sundaval ar' Yon (Sundaval and Son). Sindavar acquired several more close friends and became well known within his community.
But just as Sundaval ar' Yon began to prosper and Sindavar's life seemed to be perfect and happy, disaster struck. Sundaval was killed by a group of bandits on his way home from a business trip. At the same time, rising tensions between the neighboring High Elves and the humans cut business and caused fright amongst the Dark Elves. Several of Sindavar's friends fled as they expected that war would come to the area soon. Soon, Sindavar realized that he could not sustain himself any longer in the present environment and left Ker'nor heading for Gimblewood. Having never journeyed so far from home before, Sindavar sought directions from a kindly stranger, who promised to show him to a nearby tavern to spend the night. The stranger offered Sindavar a drink along the way, and Sindavar, being used to the kindness of his friends and community, accepted. He woke up without his possessions, stranded in the middle of an unknown field in an unknown land.
Personality Traits: Sindavar is extremely friendly and loyal. He loves architecture and engineering, and also enjoys swordfighting as a hobby. He is used to a happy life, but knows hardship and is able to keep himself and others around him cheerful during those times by making jokes or simply being kind. While like most elves Sindavar looks before he leaps, he can sometimes act a bit rashly when something or someone he loves is at stake. Sindavar is optimistic but also realizes that for now his place in society could barely be lower.
Ambitions: For the time being, Sindavar would love to recover his belongings. In the future, he dreams of designing a kingdom for Dark Elves. Sindavar would also like to return to Ker'nor, but worries that it will not be safe because of its being vassalized by the Kingdom of Oren. Also, he does not know how to get back.
Strengths/Talents: Architecture and design are Sindavar's top skills. After this, he is a fair sword fighter, although he has never been in any battles for his life (only hobby fights with his friends). He can also move quickly thanks to his small frame, though he is not so strong. Sindavar learned survival techniques from his father when he was young, and though he has forgotten some, he is able to get by adequately until he can find a town or traveler to help him. Sindavar can keep himself happy even when his life is down, which has helped him enormously during his life. He also has great and loyal friends thanks to his own loyalty, who he can call on in times of need. If only he knew how to contact them...
Weaknesses/Inabilities: Sindavar is friendly and trusting, perhaps too much so. It has certainly gotten him into trouble before. He is utterly useless at using heavy weapons or armor because of his skinny frame. Sindavar's creativity at designing is unparalleled, however his storytelling abilities are not quite so good.
Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Sindavar is 6'1" and weighs about 120 pounds. He has silvery hair and black eyes, along with the grayish skin of Dark Elves, but unlike customary Dark Elves, he wears dark robes because they were the things he was left in when he was robbed. Sindavar is unusually skinny, which allows him to be quick on his feet but also makes him weaker than normal (this gives him a fighting advantage with his agility).

Thanks for considering my application! Also, I apologize if my character's age is wrong for the time of his birth; as I couldn't find the present year in the forums or the wiki I had to estimate.
