  2. Liliac Cotsofana sat in a tower not too far south of the city that she had so often looked out to. That city of color and joy, where the people who had inhabited it had been good and hopeful, where others had some to take and take as they always do. Now she felt a deep sorrow, for the woman who she had never truly gotten to know, but who she had admired since she was just a child. She felt sorrow for her and the city she had helped build, and the community she had fostered, and for all the things that had been taken from Lady Ursula.

  3. In some dark and loathsome crypt, a certain Wick clutches the letter in thin and boney fingers, the delivery rat chittering nearby. In the dim light, a smile would be seen to curl at the corners of her lips.

    "A family reunion. Perfect."

And from there a wicked cackle did bounce across the stone walls of her sanctuary.

"They've mistook my sister and I for commoners yet again," Moliana murmured as she looked over the missive which shared the details of the Season that was to come.  "Even when I've written of my true heritage!" Her large eyes bore a look of disappointment, before an idea flickered in her gaze.  The young woman's lips curled into a coy smile as she began to roll up the paper.  "Pah, it's no issue; it shall only make it easier for my presentation to be more memorable.  What better way is there for Moliana the Magnificent to be formally introduced to the finer societies?  I'd best find Booker!"

This Season was the perfect opportunity for her to begin the trek down this Path of Ambition; she had no intentions of anchoring herself down, yet to chase glory and wonder in her freedom.

"Well now I am not going." Liliac said grumpily, staring at the 'Miss' before her name.

I'm all for arguments but this is a bit much - you both have different ideas on alchemy. Though that is to both of you and Noz - we need actually conversation amongst us who practice alchemy.

I know what alchemy is and was obviously simplifying things in regards to the lore post because it talks SPECIFICALLY about potions. I'm not going to comment any more on this because it's not adding to the discussion. If he wants to discuss the intricacies of alchemy then he should offer up some commentary about how this should affect animii, tawkin, and other facets of alchemy.

I'm totally down to amend this, though the main idea is really just to prevent mages from going in guns-blazing with both their magic and like an entire arsenal of like 10+ potions. Not to mention, alchemy as it stands has little consequence at all for basically magic-tier versatility, which makes it even more viable for magic stacking. Besides, regular alchemists are relatively unaffected by this, and mages can still use alchemy, just not in tandem with their spellcasting.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand why you wrote this and the place you're coming from. I also think it makes sense that Void stuff and the material should not play nice together. I just think it needs to be more refined, with significantly more detail and thought put into the intricacies of it. I don't like this blanket statement of "Void makes alchemy go boom." Both lore pieces are way more intricate than that and deserve more of an explanation as to exactly why and how this would happen

objectively false, you're practicing herbalism. Alchemy is the study of the material plane (natural philosophy), it is not the plants that give you the potion, its the symbols deducted from said plants. And you can do much more with alchemy roleplay than make potions and screw around with herbs.

stop mansplaining alchemy to me you absolute troglodyte
