The house of Helvets humbly requests the presence of Society at the newly built Cheval Hall to celebrate the coming of age and entering of society of young miss Margaux Renée Helvets. The young miss has come to the age of fifteen and thus shall be introduced to Orenian society in a debutante ball. Guests are welcomed to attend the event in their finest frocks and best dancing shoes.
 

TIMETABLE

     I. Address by the Duchess
Her Grace, Lady Blanche will start off the event by giving a short speech and a brief introduction of her eldest child and only daughter to those in attendance. 

    II. Personal Greetings and Introductions
At this time, guests will begin to mingle and those who wish to introduce themselves personally to the young miss Margaux may step forth and do so. Both potential suitors and other young women of the court wishing to make a new friend are welcomed to do so.

    III. Danse des Fleurs
The debutante will then take to the ballroom floor and accept dances from potential suitors and friends, and all the guests of the evening are invited to enjoy themselves thusly, in waltzes and so on in the Dance of Flowers.

    IV. Cadeau de Lys
To finish off the night of dancing and friendship, Her Grace will be presenting the young miss Margaux with a gift to commemorate her daughter’s coming of age. Additionally, anyone else wishing to present the young lady with a gift may do so at this time.

Additionally, throughout the evening drinks, fine foods, and various entertainments shall be provided.

I know I've stated this opinion to you in private but I want to reiterate it here. I see no benefit to making herbs a rare resource. Forcing the players to fight over a mechanic does nothing to add to roleplay, and I for one loathe the idea of being forced to participate in Vortex to buy them from the people who camp them. And I know for a fact that there are non-alchemists camping nodes in order to sell them. I am here to roleplay, not to spend hours running around the map in the hope that I might get an herb, nor am I keen on spending hours farming resources to sell in order to buy said herbs from campers. The point should be to encourage more roleplay, not to limit it by making herbs a scarce resource. Making them a scarcity is a solution to a made up problem.

Blanche Thérèse stood to the side of her apartments in the Augustine as a parade of servants carted in numerous dress boxes as Theodora's collection arrived. Each one was handled with care and filed neatly into the Dowager-Duchesses extensive closet. With Margaux at her side, she spoke in a somber tone. "Theodora was one of my dearest friends. Her memory will live on through all of us, and through her sense of grace and style."

Please make the cooldowns more reasonable or make the nodes personal instead of global. I don't want to vortex grind for roleplay. Thanks for finally getting everything implemented.

A mild flurry was stirred up in the Cathalon apartments as servants carted the young family back into their chambers, after having spent some time away from the city. A particularly loyal handmaiden of the Dowager-Duchess offers the missive to Blanche, who reads it with a palm to her heart. "Oh, mon cherie, Vespira! You flatter me." she cooed, a curious Margaux wandering over to peer at the pamphlet. "Marie!" she called out to one of the maids, "We must send a bouquet to the Majordomo at once!"

The Duchess-Dowager sat quietly in her apartments of the Augustine donning dark apparel, a blackened veil pulled down over her face. She sat on a finely upholstered sofa, each of her two children sat on either side of her. A slow stream of courtiers passed into and out of the apartments as the day drug onwards, leaving baskets and bundles of flowers, words of sympathy floating through the high ceilinged room as they went. She offered weak smiles and little nods, her young ones sniffling at her sides, but her attention was not in the room.

Henry had been a fine husband. A good, honorable man. A friend, even. This was a day I always knew was coming, a day where he would leave a young wife and children behind. So why do I feel so.. angry?

Juniper Wick happily pays some dwarven merchant an exuberant amount of coin and smuggles a copy of this foreign good into Providence so she can hang the masterpiece on her bedroom wall. She gives it a chef's kiss, admiring it for quite a long while.
