Greetings wonderful people of LotC! The Community Staff are pleased to announce the second Battle of the Arts competition! As the title suggests, this is a competition where you -- our creative community members can enter your creations to earn prizes each month. The categories include Artwork, Skins, Creative Writing/Poetry, Music, and Building. A winner will be selected by the Community Staff from each of the categories, making a total of 4 winners. We hope you have fun with this and enjoy! The June Battle of the Arts had a great turnout. It was great seeing all of the creative works members of the community had to offer. We would like to thank everyone who partook in the contests and wish to see more from everyone in the future contests. With that being said, we are pleased to announce the winners of the June Battle of the Arts Contest! Along with the prizes, the winners of the competition will be featured on the official LotC Twitter Page. These themes may range from aspects of server lore, history, folklore, or even holidays and seasons. For the second month, we wanted to open the stalls, everyone get ready to go hunt for the ripest apples. The next theme we’ll like to encourage is the art of a marketplace, feel free to adventure through the various nations to see layouts or design your own! The world is your oyster. The theme for July will be the Marketplace! (Thank you @ElectriceAce for the suggestion) @Wholesomerp thank you for the artwork! - Prize - The prize for the July Battle of the Arts Contest will be 5000 minas to fund your Marketplace shopping spree, a Shop of Wonders Kep’s lucky pebble to assist your fortune at haggling, 2 soulbound tokens might you find you some special items along the way, and the Creative Wizard tag! (Prizes will vary contest to contest.) - Criteria - All content entered must coincide with the theme of the month Creative Writing is limited to around 1500 words. Creative Writing must have the google document linked to ensure the criteria above has been followed. Our Empyrion and our council have taken note of your caution and have listened to your words of distaste and mistrust; however, the Llyrian Concord wishes to state that we share no similar feelings toward the Mali’thill of the Silver State. We understand. The peacock is a beautiful creature, which unfurls its radiant feathers to ward off threatening predators and those it is unfamiliar with. Its vigilance is wise and ensures it is kept unharmed; untainted. The Llyrian Concord sees this great splendour and admires it, and so we shall respect it. The Llyrian Concord remains welcoming to everyone who value the intellectual arts, and shall gladly offer any scholarly assistance to the Silver Elves of Haelun’or. While we may not be a fellow city of elves, rather a free city, who welcomes all - we still remain as fellow pioneers of science. If you should ever require a lending hand, all you need to do is ask.
