  1. I'd like it just to be named. That was really the point, so it can be considered a relic of the church.
  2. A hot forge in the middle of Brelus is ringing with the sound of a pounding hammer. Once you look inside, you see that the circumferences of the forge has been sprinkled with salt. Inside is a priest, and a the commander of the Brelus watch, who is a blacksmith, forging together a pure Aurum axe. With every strike of the hammer, the priest issues a new prayer. The anvil has had all impurities removed from it, and all foreign metals cleared off. The water that the blacksmith is dipping the hot tool into is holy water, blessed by the priest. The aurum is that collected from the armies of the undead, that the priest has put to rest, and each ingot is cleaned and blessed. The blacksmith himself is out of his usual garb and is instead wearing a pure white garb, allowing the burning metal to singe his skin. As the commander hits the axe for the last time, the priest drops to his knees, and calls out to the creator one last time. As a final measure, a lamb, unmarked, and unblemished, is brought in from the priest own flock. Using the blade of the axe, the priest slits the throat of the lamb, and allows it's pure blood to wash over the blade. He looks up and grimly says. "It is finished." Religious imagery aside, the event team is sending a necromancer against Brelus, in an act of desperation Colin of Brelus requested this axe be made. It would be a holy item, that has power against the undead, and necromancers.

  4. On Epulonist: Recently, my fellow Deacon and devout member of the church, Oscar of Norfolk wrote a riveting thesis on Flamenism. This is my personal response, writing on Epulonist. I believe that in the current time, Epulonists are more needed in the modern church, due to their ability to grow the church. While flamenism is needed in times of war, Epulonist are needed in times of peace, and recovery. Epulonist are viewed as the stewards of the church. The teaching itself is seen as the most reaching, requiring priest of great charisma in order to attract new members to the flock. The great majority of Epulonist spend the most time in large cities, organizing feast, mass', and other events to bring the community together. As stated before, these priest are seen most during times of peace, growing the church. Often, they write on the need for self growth, and spiritual commitment, writing masses and teachings more often than theses. The Epulonist focus on spiritual growth and often are empathetic and kind in order to encourage said growth. Their topics on acceptance are often viewed as counter cultural though, arguing for equal treatment and love for all in the hopes to turn them from their sinful ways. As such, Epuonist can often get in argument with the close minded, who have a distorted view of the world based on personal prejudices. Often Epulonist play a duel role in the community serving as both the priest, and as the steward. When a new town is planted, the priest serves council to the local lord, helping him with administrative tasks. Due to this Epulonist serve best as Bishops, leading the community, as well as the church. While Flamenism may attract those who look for justice, the Epulonist brings common folk to the church. This is why we need the priest of the day to put down the sword, take up the cross, and begin helping the troubled souls of the land. Justice is not what is needed among the people, bread is what is needed. Feed the body, and the soul will listen.

Bread, meat, and drink a plenty will be provided to all. Following the feast will be a mass and open forum session, for questions on the church. Please come to enjoy food, friends, and all gifts of The Creator.” - Signed Deacon Samston, and Edmond of Eastcliffe (5:00 EST, on the 26th)
  7. An Injured man in priest clothes approaches Sixtus. He is leaning heavily on a cane for support, and each step seems agonizing. "I was proven wrong." he states solemnly. "I went to the orc lands under the creators hand to show them his goodness. But what happened to Horen and Julia happened to I too." He reveals a deep stab wound in his side. "The Uruks are a godless people. Love is not a language which will reach them. The blood of Krug flows within them all. They are kinslayers, rapist, and murderers. Show them justice Sixtus."
  8. The creator has gifted each and everyone of us. He has gifted life to every human, elf, dwarf, uruk, and halfling in the realm. And as such each life should be valued with the utmost respect. To disregard the importance of each life is to disregard the Creators will. The Creator, did not make us so that we may live in constant fear of one another, or to persecute and hunt one another. Instead the Creator calls on us to spread his word, and convert those to a path of knowledge. To say that the church is not under attack is to live in ignorance. Chaos is the agent of Iblees, and loves to see the collapse of order that is the church. Therefore with the words I say remember this with utmost importance, keep the word, love, and faith of the creator in one head, and a blade in the other. For without you as the messenger for the creator, then the word will not be spread. Converting heathens is important, but the life of one believer is worth that of a million of those who are enemies of the faith. Missionary work is one of the, if not the most, important roles that a believer of the faith can take. For without new believers, than their is no growth in the church. The church is much like a tree in such way. If a tree is not growing, then it is in decay. We must keep this church growing. Have you ever met a tree that has grown though with the use of fire and sword? The church can not grow with a crusade or invasion. Though these are of the utmost importance to the church, as a way to clear weeds from our metaphorical orchard. We must nurture the spirits of those who we seek to aid, for then, and only then will the creators love take root in their hearts. The first step in creating a mission, is to protect yourself. As such, you should find a secure location to plant your church. If this means building walls, or obtaining permission and protection from the local government, then go forth and take these precautions. These walls will not only protect you, but will protect your soon to be followers in the future. This brings me to my second point. To meet someone's spiritual needs, you must first meet their physical needs. With walls, you are providing safety to those without a place to go. If you plant a small garden in your mission, then you are able to feed those without food. A full stomach is much more willing to listen, and accept, than an empty one. Once the physical needs of a person's is met, they’re social desires must also be met. The mission you create, should be one that embraces the good of the culture that you are in. Be it with halflings, than let your mission be filled with good food, and good ale, and good music, as that is what their culture enjoys. When, and only when these needs are met, can you begin to preach to those around you. Soon you may see that the church will become a community, and your role will laxen, as though in the community will support each other. Once you have, planted, nurtured, and have seen the church grow, then you can take it upon yourself to commision your followers to do the same. This will not only help spread the word of the creator, but soon you can find your work complete. In all this remember to go with the Creator in all you do.
  9. Idolatry can be worshipping an idol as a God, but the point of my thesis, is that many things we spend to much time on our also idols. To hold anything above the Creator is idolatry, the object of idolatry does not have to be a physical object. You can hold an idea as an idol.

  11. On Idolatry Idolatry is stated as the worship of that other than the Creator. While this may seem straight forward idolatry takes many forms and manners, and as such should be discussed thoroughly by the church. As I am not a member of the clergy, and have only studied those scrolls I can get my hands on, I invite all to please comment with their thoughts on Idolotry themselves after reading through my argument. On Other Gods From the beginning of time there has been those who have worshipped the Creator. Though through different faces and different names, they held the same ideals, and the church claims that they have been praising the same God all along. Though they may hold the same morals, worship of another God should be held as Idolatry. It is a simple fact that though they may seem the same, worshipping one name over another is heretical. The Creator is the Creator, it is as simple as that. To split the creators aspects into separate beings is to take away from the power of the our God. For to say there is a guard of harvest, and a god of life, is to say one being is not powerful enough to manage all aspects of our life. This is a lie, for there is an all powerful being, that being the creator. When we look at our Elven, Dwarven, halfling, and even Uruk brothers, we must teach them that their is one name for the God they worship, and that is the creator. Further more, we should teach them that this God is omnipotent and rules over all aspects of this world and others. On the worship of Aenguls There is no doubt that Aengus are powerful beings. This power is that that is granted to them by the Creator. We should look at the aenguls as the servants of our lord. If a man visits a lords house, he is greeted by the servants, the servants are the ones who prepare and serve the food. The servants clean the rooms and provide comfort for the lords guest. Does this mean that the servants should be the one praised? No, the lord should, for providing the servants, and for creating the house in the first place. Likewise, we should not praise the aenguls for fulfilling the Creators will. We should praise the creator, and him only for his gifts to us. The worship of aenguls should be held equivalent to the worship of demonic beings beings, for to look at something other than the creator as the one who grants you power, is heretical. This brings up questions about those who use aengulic powers for good, such as healing the ill, or protecting a king. To say that anyone besides the Creator granted you the powers is blasphemy. Such magi, and guilds that do such should change their ways, or be abolished from the land. On Worldly Distractions One should wake up and pray to the Creator, and pray to the Creator before they go to bed. They should pray to the creator before every meal, and after working a long day. The reason why man should do such is simple. There are many things in this world that we can become obsessed with. A job may fulfill all of your time, or raising a family may take over your life. Does this mean that one should refrain from doing such things? Of course not. The creator gave us work, food, and family, to remind us of how good he is. Therefore we should give him thanks for gifting this to us. We should remember him in everything we do. For if we do not, then we are replacing the creator with these things. If you do not pray over your food, then you forget who provided you that food. If you forget who provided you the food, you began to worship others as the providers, and even yourself. Do not take the Creators gifts for granted, but also do not make them Gods of your life in their own right. In all this we must remember the Creator, and give thanks to him and him alone.
  12. *The script on the paper is an attempt at neat handwriting, while completely legible, it is messy at best. The sentences are long and drawn out.* My name is Colin Samston. I was born outside of the city of Petrus, and lived on the move for a while. Though I served as a mercenary for a while I never obtained a criminal record. At the age of 18 I returned to my home in Petrus and became a guard. There I learned how to cook, fight, and mine. I used these skills to help the guard grow large. After I left the guard, I traveled for a bit before we left Athera, and on the new continent, I became a steward of the new capital, while also being a reeve at the Duchy of Adria. I am now 23 and would like to join the church, while keeping my job as steward. OOC MC Name: Colin_Ginger Skype Name: the_ginger_ninja22
