Birds were sent. So many birds and yet, no reply. Visits were made to familiar places and yet, there was no sign of him. Tears were shed and yet, they did no good.
The young elfess strode towards her home, though the usual confidence in her steps would be minimal, her gaze showing a combination of sadness and concern as she looks straight ahead, a slight frown marring her features. The tapping of boots upon stone would echo throughout the otherwise silent streets as the moon shines overhead, a light breeze creating a chilling atmosphere, body shaking as a slight shiver runs down her spine.
Navigating her way through several shortcuts, she finally reaches her destination, unlocking the door and slamming it shut behind her, a few books falling off the shelves to the right from the force. Ignoring the mess, clicks and clanks would be heard as she locks the door securely before moving to the staircase and making her way down. She quickly lights a candle, carrying it with her to a small wooden desk and placing it down as the wax drips.
Lowering her body down into a straight backed chair, her hand extends out sliding a draw open and collecting a fresh piece of parchment, a quill and a vial of ink. Laying them out, her fingers curl around the length of the quill, feather brushing against her skin as she dips the tip into the ink, tapping it on the side of the vial before beginning to write what appears to be another letter to be sent, hand trembling lightly. As she writes, a few almost silent words would be uttered from her parched lips.
"Please, come back."
