  1. +1 Honestly Malgo is a good guy. His events are great and hes full of good ideas. He always has been. With the Dwarven Legion he did some great events to keep them all excited and it made them happy to be in the army and it attracted many others. This was when he was no ET. Honestly give him another chance.

A reply is penned back to the office of Oren’s Emperor and delivered to the Palace in Johannesburg.

To the Holy Orenian Emperor Philip I Frederick, we hope that in your grace, you will consider the following terms, for the betterment and prosperous future of our two great nations.

We hope that in his grace,

In regards to upholding the terms laid forth in the Treaty of the Northern Union,

    • The Holy Orenian Empire shall halt any attacks on the settlement of Azaghol with immediate effect, respecting the territorial integrity of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan’s borders.

    • The Holy Orenian Empire shall agree to recognise Azaghol as a dominion beneath the Grand Kingdom of Urguan’s jurisdiction, its denizens subjects of the crown.

    • The Grand Kingdom of Urguan and Holy Orenian Empire respectively shall not attempt any future incursion into the other’s sovereign decision-making process.

In return, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan shall agree to ensure the following terms in regards to the Orcs of Azaghol are upheld,

    • The complete abolishment of slavery. No individual from any nation may be enslaved by any orc or otherwise. The practice of slavery must be completely destroyed, never again to be practiced.

    • The Orcs of Azaghol will remain outside of all lands of the Holy Orenian Empire, unless individuals of the race are given express permission to enter by the Emperor or the highest authority in the local region.

    • The Orcs of Azaghol must agree to adhere to the interests of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, and agree to work within the terms of the treaty between the two nations. They will be prohibited from fighting alongside any enemies of the Orenian nation while this treaty stands.

    • Orcish Shamans of Azaghol must entirely forsake the ritual of shamanic cursing, unless for use in self defence. Laying any curses unprovokedly on any individual will become forbidden.

    • An Imperial Ambassador may be stationed within Azaghol to monitor the goings on within the orcish settlement and ensure these terms are upheld.

Any significant and organised attempt by the Orcs of Azaghol to subvert these terms, and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan agrees to respond as such,

    • To expel the Orcs of Azaghol from its lands, through use of military force if deemed necessary.

    • To revoke any rights of the Orcs of Azaghol to live within the jurisdiction of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

    • To not inhibit any efforts to punish said Orcs for breaking the aforementioned terms.

Throughout the history of the Dwedmar, the Frostbeards have been known to be cunning and loyal Dwed. Prior to Vailor they were held in high regard as the purest of Clans and were given utmost respect by the other Clans. Unfortunately, as of late, the Clan is mostly associated with their instigation of the Civil War of 1518, as a result of Skippy Irongut being elected Grand King.

This piece will put any rumors to end, and outline the Grand Kingdom’s stance on the Rebellion.

Immediately prior to the Rebellion, the Frostbeard Clan was amongst strongest in the Kingdom, if not the strongest, in terms of arms and numbers. The clan held the town of Tal’Azwyr, located in the Kazulran Mountains, on the border of Urguan, and served as the first line of defence in the case of an invasion. The town was also close in proximity to the Dwarven Mine and as such became very wealthy in terms of ferrum and other desirable minerals.

The Clan Father at the time was Verthaik Frostbeard who ruled the clan with the help of his brother and right hand man, Clan Elder Varuk Frostbeard. Verthaik was a benevolent leader, and usually had other Frostbeards carry out disciplinary actions. He was loved and supported by the majority of the clan, and even dwed from other clans. As Grand King Balek’s reign came to a close, it was no secret that Verthaik had ambitions of running for Grand King.

At the eve of the election, Skippy Irongut, leader of the Red Urguan Workers Guild, came forth with his decision to run for Grand King in opposition to Verthaik Frostbeard. Skippy was known to be a bit off his rocker and prior to the Red Urguan Workers Guild had not done much of significance in terms of leadership. In addition, as history later showed, much of the Workers Guild’s success came from Varuk Frostbeard who actually presented Skippy with the concept.

Unbeknown to the public at the time, Verthaik had met with Skippy some time prior to the

elections and had received Skippy’s full backing in his bid to become Grand King. As such, Skippy’s bid for election was met with hostility from the Frostbeards, leading to the polarization of the Grand Kingdom.

The election was a dirty one, with both sides trying to defame the other. Slowly but surely, the majority of those who supported Verthaik moved to Tal’Azwyr, while those who supported Skippy moved to the capital. A few notable Frostbeards stayed in the capital despite supporting Verthaik’s bid for Grand King, among them, Vidar, Algoda and future Grand King Rhewen, grandfather of Verthaik. Every day it seemed that tensions grew higher, even nearly boiling over sometime and leading to conflict, but the peace was maintained.

On the day of reckoning, the votes were counted and recounted. Many votes were thrown out because the council felt that they were not cast by citizens of the Grand Kingdom. At the end of the day, Skippy was the declared the Grand King. Verthaik and the Frostbeards were outraged as they demanded a recount, only to find out that a large majority of their votes had been set aside. Angry, hurt and feeling betrayed they isolated themselves to Tal’Azwyr.

After much deliberation and talk with his inner council which consisted of Frostbeards, a mixture of other notable clan dwarves such as Dun Irongut, and the Blackfist Dwarves of the North, Verthaik made his decision, he could not allow the kingdom to be led by Skippy. On the First of the Deep Cold, 1518, Verthaik announced the creation of the Mountain Monarchy, with Tal’Azwyr being its capital, and the Blackfist hold of Kal’Krest being it’s other settlement. Almost every citizen of Tal’Azwyr and Kal’Krest enlisted into the Mountain Monarchy Army which was led by Lord Marshall Vorstag II Ireheart. As the Mountain Monarchy geared for a bloody civil war, Skippy Irongut sent word to the Savoy Government in Oren to send troops, in exchange for the Grand Kingdom’s support in their own Civil War.

Between the first of the Deep Cold 1518 to the first of Sun’s Smile 1519, much Dwed blood was spilt. But it was all to end on the first of the Sun’s Smile 1519 when the two armies met in the Battle of the Mountains. Holding the upper ground was Skippy Irongut’s forces, which consisted of loyalist Dwed, Black Hawks, Orcs,  and a large amount of Savoyards. Holding the forest below was Verthaik’s force, consisting of various Dwedmar, and some disgruntled Adrians. After much arrow fire was exchange, Varuk gave the order, as Verthaik charged with his legion of loyal Frostbeards immediately behind him, and then the rest of Dungrim’s Folk. After hours of fighting, the Mountain Monarchy’s forces were unable to take the hill, and were forced to fall back. After that guerilla warfare continued on for days, but it was over. Verthaik laid slain, as did Varuk and the rest of the Mountain Monarchy’s leadership. The Rebellion was over.

Yes, Skippy Irongut did not do a good job being the Grandking of Urguan. And perhaps it would have been better if Verthaik was chosen. But let us leave the past behind now.

After many hours of review, I, Grand King Torvin Grandaxe, have decided to finally put this issue to rest.

I support Verthaik’s casus belli for rebellion. Indeed, his cause was a rebellion against our most beloved Kingdom, but it was a noble one because he fought against a senseless Grand King, who in reality brought no advancements to the Kingdom during his time as Grand King. The fact that the vote was so nearly split, is clear indication that Skippy Irongut did not have the full support of the Dwedmar people, and consequently the Brathmordakin. A battle was the only reasonable way for this dispute to be settled. While it is a shame that Dwarven blood had to be split, it was done for the right reason, and as such I proclaim both the Grand Kingdom soldiers and rebel soldiers war heros, and Verthaik Frostbeard a hero, memorialized, who fought against an obvious example of the failure of the voting system.

Clan Frostbeard has been forgiven for their history. Let it now be known by the Dwedmar,.

    Signed,

    Grand King Torvin Grandaxe

  4. Regarding the Proclaimation

23rd of The First Seed, 1587

To his Imperial Majesty Philip I Frederick of the House of Horen, Holy Orenian Emperor and rightful Emperor of Aeldin, forever August, Apostolic King in Oren, of Savoy, Kaedrin, Haense, Renatus and Salvus, Defender of the Faith, Duke of the Crownlands, Avar, Frederica, Krajia, and Cascadia, Margrave of Greater Kreden, Count of Johannesburg, Louvain, Beauclair, Sundholt, Estavar and Wett, Sovereign of Humanity, Suzerain of the Elves and Protector of the Dominion of Malin, etcetera.

    Blessings on your line.

The Grand Kingdom of Urguan is dismayed by your concern. It was unbeknownst to the Grand Kingdom that your Empire possessed a growing list of concerns regarding it’s validity in the Treaty of the Northern Union. The Grand Kingdom assures you that it’s foremost priority is to continue the great relations instilled by our Nation's respective predecessors.  It would be a bitter stain on the legacy of both our Nation’s administrations to enact the illegal finishing of the Treaty of the Northern Union. This is certainly not the intention of the Grand Kingdom.

The Grand Kingdom would not wish to undermine the eminence of your Scholars, but much of the conclusions that the Empire’s eminent Scholars have delivered, the Grand Kingdom have deemed to be inaccurate.

Firstly, accusations from the Empire directed at the Grand Kingdom which regard false claims of the Grand Kingdom’s aid to insurrectionists. The Grand Kingdom would first question why his Imperial Majesty of the Empire, would be so quick to heed the warning of the rebellious scoundrels who seeked to overthrow him. It is rather troubling to the Grand Kingdom, that the Emperor might show confidence in those who seeked to overthrow him, over an ally, the Grand Kingdom. The Grand Kingdom has enjoyed 12 years of peace with the Empire, by dignifying the rebel slander in a formal implication to the Grand Kingdom, the Empire has unsettled much of Urguan’s government, who still wish to remain true to the treaty.

However, as a signatory of the Northern Union, his Majesty Grand King Torvin Grandaxe, First of His Name, Grand King of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and Tribune of the Urguani People, Sovereign of the Dwedmar and Vicar of The Brathmordakin, Lord of Kal’Nikaer, Protector of the Edict and Grand Champion of Urguan, bearer of the Relics of Urguan and Mouth of Urguan,

holds no issue in publicly denouncing the Northmen Rebels. and publicly pledges that the said allegations projected by the Empire are in fact false.

Secondly, as the Empire correctly states:

“The signatories herein shall only hold their fellow signatories responsible for the actions of those individuals acting in an official capacity as their government representatives and agents;”

It is unbeknown to the Grand Kingdom the identity and interests of the rogue Dwarf. The Grand Kingdom’s most revered and senior Remembrancers have searched the deepest records of our great library, but rendered unsuccessful in locating any evidence to suggest this Dwarf ever lived legally within the Grand Kingdom, or perhaps even existed.

The Grand Kingdom would ask on what knowledge the Empire has it, that the Rogue is in close familial connections to the honorable Marshal, Belgor Ireheart. The Grand Kingdom would also enquire what deductions led the Empire to believe that the Rogue was even an Ireheart at all, perhaps the Empire was informed by the Dwarf before he was killed. Perhaps the Empire recovered documents or information pertaining to the identity of the aforementioned Dwarf. If not, the Grand Kingdom struggles to understand how the Empire could make such a conclusion on the Dwarf’s identity. The Grand Kingdom’s head of Judicial proceedings has taken time to interview each member of the Ireheart Clan in an attempt to locate the said conspirators.  We, the Grand Kingdom, can announce with surety that the rogue in question was not of any affiliation to either the Grand Kingdom or the Ireheart Clan.

Perhaps the Empire’s eminent scholars are unfamiliar with the Grand Kingdom’s culture and lineage. If the Empire would wish to look at the records of the Grand Kingdom’s lineage, such could be arranged in full recognition of Provision Four of the Treaty of the Northern Union. Furthermore, the Grand Kingdom offers its help and cooperation in finding those responsible for this heinous and villainous deed.  It would also welcome the Empire to facilitate an opportunity for our own Remembrancers to examine the remains of the Rogue, perhaps the Grand Kingdom’s own experts can deliver a more accurate reading of who the Rogue is and what drove him to such depravity

The Grand Kingdom would also ask that the Empire might consult the Grand Kingdom in matters regarding Dwarven lineage in the future. Inaccurate affiliations such as the one drawn between the Grand Kingdom’s Primarch and the Assassin in question can prove to be damaging to reputation.

Finally, regarding the Orcs living within the lands of Urguan. The Grand Kingdom would first clarify that the Orcs seeking residing within the lands of Urguan hold no affiliation to the War Uzg, nor were involved in any of the events leading up to the “Condemnation of the Orcish race” made by his Imperial Majesty  John III.

The Orc’s of Azaghol have, since their creation, have existed peacefully as residents within the Grand Kingdom. They are a officiated landowners of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and have been since before the treaty of the Northern union was conceived. They have lived within the lands of Urguan since before the Condemnation of the Orcish race was issued.

Although in the “Condemnation of the Orcish race”, a declaration made by his Imperial Majesty John III, it is decreed that:

“All members of uruk kind shall be killed or driven out on sight within the Imperial lands of men, the elven dominion and all other aligned lands unless they plead for their amnesty, either as an individual, or as a clan."

The Grand Kingdom believes that the Azaghol Orcs are exempt from this ruling, as his Imperial Majesty John Owyn III states earlier in the declaration.

“With this, there shall be no longer be any Orcish nation in the world, immaterial or material, and duly so, all former subjects of the Orcish War Uzg are hence considered to fall within Imperial jurisdiction.”

The Grand Kingdom reminds the Empire that the Azaghol Orcs were never affiliated with the War Uzg, and never occupied their lands, therefore do not, and never have, fallen within Imperial jurisdiction. Subsequently, the Azaghol Orc’s are not subject to the declaration made by his Imperial Majesty John Owyn III which orders the persecution of all Orcs.

    Whilst Provision Ten states:

    The signatories herein shall consider any enemy polity hostile to one signatory to be an enemy and hostile to all signatory members of the Union;

-The Azaghol Orcs are not a polity.

-The Azaghol Orcs are residents of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan.

-They have always been, since their inception, residents of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, who do not consider them a political entity.

-The Grand Kingdom is not an enemy polity.

-The Grand Kingdom is an ally to the Empire.

-The Grand Kingdom’s Government acts as a single political entity on behalf of all of its residents and vassals.

    Whilst provision Four states:

    The signatories herein shall facilitate total judicial cooperation between one another, including though not limited to processes of extradition, and shall abstain from the granting of exile, refuge or succor to those entities wanted or convicted by another signatory;

The Azaghol Orcs in question, are not refugees or exiles of the Empire, as they have always resided within the Grand Kingdom. The Azaghol Orcs should not be wanted nor convicted by the Empire, as they have never been affiliated with the War Uzg and have never fallen into the Empire’s jurisdiction.

The Grand Kingdom would ask that the Empire respects Provision Eight of the Treaty:

    The signatories herein shall totally abstain from interference with the internal governments and affairs of their fellow signatory members of the Union, and shall recognise and support the total sovereignty of the legitimate governments of their fellow signatories according to the respective system of government of the state in question;

As aforementioned above, the Azaghol Orcs are not subject to the Condemnation of the Orcish Race and are peaceful residents of the Grand Kingdom. The Grand Kingdom considers its residency an internal affair and asks respectfully that the Empire does not interfere.

To finish, the Grand Kingdom asks respectfully that the Empire works diplomatically and cooperatively with it if the Empire continues to dispute Urguan’s validity within the treaty of the Northern Union. As does the Grand Kingdom, offer it’s full and unhindered cooperation. The peace must endure for both of our Nation’s to prosper.

The Grand Kingdom hopes, for both our sakes, that the treaty remains unbroken.

We hope that this meets you in good health,

Grand King Torvin Grandaxe, First of His Name, Grand King of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and Tribune of the Urguani People, Sovereign of the Dwedmar and Vicar of The Brathmordakin, Lord of Kal’Nikaer, Protector of the Edict and Grand Champion of Urguan, bearer of the Relics of Urguan and Mouth of Urguan,

It has come to my attention that the Upper Council is not functioning great again and that many dwarves that were in the council were inactive in their duties. A new Grandking means a new and fresh council. It has also come to my attention that many positions in the Lower Council were not taken. Worthy dwarves have been assigned to each job in both the Upper Council and the Lower Council.

From this day onward, with my absolute authority, the following people are to take place with the utmost immediacy:

Svardin Grandaxe is to gain both the title and all responsibilities of a Grand Marshall

Kardel Irongut will replace Odin Ireheart and take on the responsibilities a Yemekars Pick has.

Zahrer Irongrinder is to be honorably discharged from the title of Seneschal. Dagor Irongrinder shall take on the responsibilities and the title of Seneschal.

Dimlin Frostbeard will take on the job of Foreman General.

Mafraedon Starbreaker shall take on the title of Grand Admiral and with the help of the Grand Marshall and myself, we will help him in building this new and strong fleet.

Khordaldrum Frostheard shall take the job of Minister of Culture on him.

Rorry Frostbeard will be the Grand Engineer of the Kingdom.

Koralon Doomforged will be the Forge Master of the Kingdom.

Drynn Ireheart will be the High Remembrancer of the Kingdom.

May these decisions improve the quality of a Dwed’s life.

The Grand Marshall of Urguan Torvin Grandaxe sat in his office as he began to write many letters to his Commanders and Lieutenants to start with getting every available Dwarf in the Legion barracks in a couple of hours. After hearing the load noises of the Dwarves in the barracks, having a drink and enjoying the peaceful times, he opened the door of his office and suddenly all dwarves became quiet, some whispers would be heard but that’s all. He stood infront of his seat and began to talk to the dwarves who were in the room.

    “Moh fellow dwed brot’ers.
