    Armor Regulations

Regulations regarding the use of armor are an important part of maintaining the might of the military, due to the simplicity of doing harm to the metal suit of armor these tenets have been placed to prevent such harm from occurring.

Ways one can harm the condition of the armor:

-Getting struck with any form of arms including bare hands

    -Being pelted with snow

    -Being pelted with eggs

To show respect do not do the above to your comrades.

    When off duty:

The Legionnaire must not bear his suit of armor nor utilize it in any scenario such as hunting (A stone sword can be requested for free) and should have it stored away safely in his or her bunk, if a Stoneguard or higher is caught using their armor off duty they will be disciplined and will have to suffer a honor reduction as well as pay for the repairs.

    When on duty:

Only use your armor effectively when encountering an armed conflict (Equip Armor into your slots), if any other scenario you are to not wear your armor as to prevent harm, armor may be used as an intimidation factor if required at any point in time.

    Honorary Awards

Are medals or gifts granted to Legionnaires of whom have increased their status by the means of positive military service and performance during certain important occasions, the Honorary Awards include:

    -Legionnaire of the month.

    -----

    Training

Practice or Training one’s combat skills and labor talents is an important factor within the Dwarven Kingdom as well as the Legion, formations and discipline are often the most stressed as the Dwarven Legion is well known for its organization and prowess.

    Combat:

Military practice is often done once or twice every Stone Week to hone the skills of both recruits and veteran soldiers so that battles may be planned in advance and new tactics be learned in order to ensure that the Dwarvish “war engine” runs efficiently during times of war or battle and allow for fresh meat (recruits) to easily gain the necessary skills that make for the important components of the Dwarvish combat style.

    Group practice:

    Parading (marching in formation)

    Drilling (Fighting in formation)

    Hunting (To train one’s skills)

Combat Practice (To train one’s fighting prowess)

    Personal Practice:

Must be either overseen by a Commanding Rank or recorded.

(Screenshots of rp/you patrolling the Kingdom)

    Labor:

Labor training is done through one’s own time with or without supervision of a specialist in the field the legionnaire is interested in, and allows for the recruit or avid soldier to partake in specialized military fields or to gain currency during times of peace.

    Guard Duty:

The Duty of Guarding is a crucial role within the capitol, Militants within the Legion are expected to serve for one stone hour to protect the Hold, duties of guarding include:

    Gate Management

Is the duty in which a Legionnaire is to protect the mighty stone gate way of the capitol. In order to promote camaraderie it is recommended that more than one guard is on duty during shifts. During shifts legionnaires are expected to keep the gate open for Dwarves to pass freely in between, but be alert enough to shut the gates for outsiders so that the following questions may be asked. When no Dwarf or Dwarves are manning the gates, it is expected that the gates shall remain open.

    The “challenge” Phrases:

“Wot beh yer Race an Nayme?”

    “Wher ye beh livin’?”

If the figure requesting entrance of the City has any of the following features he is to be denied entrance, unless stated otherwise by Legion officials or the Grand King,

Appearance: lacking flesh on “his or her” bones, glowing eyes or scale like hides.

    Patrol

Patrolling is vital to the Kingdom’s well being be it either tunnel clearances, when a guard goes into the deep mines and disposes of creeps and critters who may harm the miners, or doing surface checks where the militant will do tasks similar to the tunnel clearance but on the surface.. Any peculiar sightings are to be reported to the Legion Commander for further inspection.

    Surface Checks

The Guard is to wander about the perimeter of the capitol where he or she will be charged with examining the wall that protects the Hold’s border as well as slay and critters who threaten travelers, any peculiar sightings such as wall breaks, mysterious structures, or orc presence, is to be reported.

    Formations:

    Vel

    - Formation always has the leader in front

    - Line must not pass leader or break form during march

    - Not default stance when inactive

Two Dwarves of the Frostbeard clan decided to go out for a walk in the Holy Empire of Oren. Torvin Frostbeard and The Clan Elder of the Frostbeards, Nkruma Frostbeard were their names. Together they wandered in the lands of Lorraine seeking for one certain thing. Both Dwarves were armed with long swords and shiny armor, yet nobody had stopped them. They continued their journey on foot and after hours of walking they saw a big tree from a far distance. This would've been the tree of Ruric. Torvin Frostbeard who had been 'friends' with them for a long time when they were in Norland returned to the current location of the people. One thing had to be done. They continued their way to the tree and not long after they see a couple of bodies hanging in the tree. Enemies of Oren they were. "Dis'onorable" mutters Torvin. "Let's get thuse bodies down, eh? Weh must take 'em back tuh Urguan and give them a well earned funeral" said Nkruma Frostbeard aftere. Both Dwarves entered the small town and it seemed that there weren't many people there. The Dwarves went climbing up the Tree and they've cut  the ropes of the dwarves hanging there with the blades they took with them. A couple men of Dunamis was found hanging there as well, Those have been released as well. Torvin, who had been a couple of times here before took some bodies down as well that he found hanging in the tree. "Teh bastards won't learn. No matteh how many toimes weh get t'em down. T'ey will kill more dwarves and 'ang t'em up 'ere." He said after they got all the bodies down. "Aye" replied Nkruma. "Weh teach t'em t'at t'ey can't simpleh duh t'is." The Dwarves unsheated their swords again and began to chop the branches of the tree. It took many times to get them to crack the tree but it worked. Torvin took out his pickaxe he used to mine with and began smashing the picaxe in the branches. One by one they got them down. They made some mess there down the tree. One big branch got dropped on a house and it took the roof with him. After a while they decided that this was enough. As they were there only to warn them. They left some branches as how they were. Both dwarves got down by using the vines on the tree to help themselves down. From there they left a note very close to the tree."Teh dwarves of Urguan are nut tuh be messed wit'." They began to look for where the bodies were dropped and they were lifted on the shoulders of the Dwarves. They had a long journey to walk. And these bodies were making it hard for both. Once they arrived, the bodies of the dwarves were getting the funeral that they deserved. Some guards in Khal'akash were informed to get some of the remaining bodies there back here and do to it fast. They were picked up and taken back as well. Luckely nobody was halted and the bodies weren't seen by any of the people there. It seemed that many people didn't dwell there anymore. However the bodies were taken back to their homeland. This was just a small taste of the Dwarves of Urguan and its allies.

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is a acting like a other character. You can rp in a world where you can do what your character would do. However you can't do something that is impossible of course. You can decide what to do in that certain world. It depends on how your character looks like.

What is metagaming?: Actually stealing information while OOC and then using that Information IC. You may know some things OOC but your character can't. He has to know it with some kind of reason.

What is powergaming?: Being overpowered. Like that I can kill 20 of heavily armed enemies without getting hurt or killed. Simply things that you can't do.

    In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

    Character’s name: Torvin

    Character’s sex: Man

    Character’s race: Dwarf

    Character’s age: 73

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Torvin was a born in a family of honorable warriors. His father was the seemed to be the biggest warrior of his family. His father cared only about the honor of the family. That is why he started to learn Torvin how to be a loyal Dwarf. He taught him the ways of hunting and combat. However Torvin himself didn't want to listen to the rules of his family and what his father told him. He often went off with friends deep in the late night. Hunting for a boar to roast and eat. Everything changed on one day when he went out with his friends hunting for an other boar to eat. It was pretty late and that is why they decided to set camp in the woods. A few hours later they got attacked. A dozen of Orcs was heared from far in the woods. Torvin was the only one who waked up. He could hear the Orcs making noises and getting closer and closer. Many thoughts when through his mind and he suddenly decided to take it for a run. He left his friends alone and didn't care about them at the moment. He could hear the Dwarves screaming while getting killed one by one.

When he got home he was very shocked about what happened. His father saw this and asked what was going on. He knew that Torvin went out with his friends in the late night but he didn't tell that. Torvin decided to confess what they've been doing. After hearing that they went to hunt for boars in the night, his father laughed. ''And what is wrong with that!'' He said. In which Torvin simply told him the story about what happened this day. His father didn't seem to care about the dead Dwarves. Or about that his son is healthy and all back home. No, he was angry. He found it ridiculous that Torvin left his comrades there getting slaughtered. Torvin became the shame of the family. His father saw him as a shame. Torvin couldn't live in a family where they saw him as a useless family member. He decided to leave his family and he went to sign up for the defence of his Kingdom.

Torvin was a Dwarf that went with the Grandking Fimlin to retake the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. After that he decided to live a silent and peaceful life in the new city. However this wish didn't seem to come true. Because of the Kingdom of Oren declaring war uppon them. And with that Torvin was forced to fight again in the battle of Hiebenhall that was won. A war he didn't fight anymore after. He was one of the Dwarves that arrived in Vailor after leaving Athera. This time honor did care. He was someone who always showed respect and honor to the current Grandking and didn't refuse to do an order that was given to him. He and the other loyalist Dwarves went on a fight against the Mountain Monarchy. They eventually slaughtered all of them. The true of horror was still too much for Torvin. This was the worst of all. Seeing Dwarves getting killed by his own hand. Many other wars are fought but Torvin didn't participate in most of them. He decided to leave the fight behind his back and continue with his life. If this will work...

Personality Traits: Very Stubborn. He doens't like to listen to others. Can be very noisy. And is especially greedy when it comes to some certain items

Ambitions: Being a honorable dwarf. He can't wish for more. It is to show that he is a worthy and strong dwarf. He will try to kill as many orcs as possible to get excused by his friends that got killed in the woods and to his father that thought that he isn't a loyal dwarf

Strengths/Talents: He is a very strong Dwarf. He got a lot of combat experience. And is verry stubborn which makes him proceed his plans

Weaknesses/Inabilities: He can't oversee stuff very fast. Which makes him a easy opponent for someone who would want to assasinate him or is very stealthy. His stubborness is also a bad thing, because he can make very wrong choices

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): A three feet dwarf. He is a red/brown beard. He is not very fat when you look at other Dwarves. He is always standing wide with his chest up. Green eyes.
