Dustin was born and raised in Felsen. His father, Eric, was mage who studied arcane magic and was also a mercenary. Eric was a master at evocation. Dustin's father and mother were both humans. He grew up in a big city and was well educated. Dustin was taught hand-to-hand combat and wanted to learn many things. He did what was right regardless of what he was told and did what was logical and reasonable. His father has always asked him if a sword was good or evil. The correct answer was "neutral."
At the age of 18, he began travelling to other human cities in the Holy Orenian Empire.. He did not know where he wanted to live, so he became nomadic. He did not like fighting in wars and had never fought. Dustin is planning on having a family and getting married someday. He needed money, so he became a mercenary. Though, he would only do certain things regardless of how much he got payed. At the age of 21, Dustin decided to travel outside the kingdom. He wanted to learn about arcane magic like his father. The first non-human city he travelled to was Laureh'lin, the state of the wood elves.
