A few years before Gavin was born his grandparents had been killed (the only ones still alive). They were killed by a group of dwarves in the battle of 1518. His parents were devastated and they both became very depressed. When Gavin was born, his family was very poor and depressed. He knew he had grow up different from other kids in his village. Everyone else had money, clothes and food. This just gave Gavin a creative mind because he had to scavenge for food, make his own toys and clothes. Being poor taught Gavin necessary life skills most people don't gain until their 20's-30's. Gavin took the pain of the past and used it to fuel the fire in his soul. The fire of war. Gavin wanted to become a warrior, fight in wars, raid villages, and rise above them all. He started pursuing his dream at the age of 16. He had saved enough money to go to a training camp for future warriors. He had been told by many great instructors that he would one day be a great addition to any army. He wanted to believe them but he at the same time he didn't want to let himself down. He decided to train more, work harder. On his 18th birthday the trainers had provided Gavin with a sword and told him to go and fight for a kingdom. They told him that every great Warrior has a calling to a certain kingdom. Growing up in a small town in Courland meant he had to travel to Felsen to find a kingdom to fight for. He is now 30 years old and in search for a kingdom the fight for. Born and raised in Kal'Ordholm young Gavin Burton always wanted to be a great warrior. Growing up with 9 brothers and sisters Gavin was the eldest, which means he had tried to run away to Felsen to find a job. He didn't even make it to Kal'Akash before his father caught up to him on horse-back. Throughout his teenage years (13-17) he had tried to escape his village a total of 13 times, but every attempt was a fail. Gavin had decided that he and his girlfriend would leave on his 18th birthday. His girlfriends name was Elizabeth, he had planned to propose to her the night the two left. But little did Gavin know, that wasn't going to happen. Exactly 1 week before Gavin's birthday his village was raided by dark elves. Gavin came back after a hunting trip with one of his buddies to a village of rubble. There were no survivors. Gavin's friends name was Albert and he had hung himself after he found his family dead. Gavin was all alone. No family, no friends, and no girlfriend. He had the ring in his pocket he was going to propose with.
