  1. A letter to this whom it may concern, to the Faithful Canonists and to the Holy Empire of Oren,

    sedevacante-small.gif

After continuously examining my conscience before the Almighty GOD who is all omnipotent, I have come to the definitive certainty that, due in part to my advanced age, my strength in body are no longer suitable in an attentive fulfillment of the exercise of the Pontifical ministry. I am most aware that this Holy Office, inspired and ordained by God through the Exalted in the histories of our civilization, require not only in words and deeds, but no less of the prayers and petitions of our suffering. However, in the times of our world, which is subject to many rapid changes and struck by questions of faith and morality for the prevalence of the Canonist faith, in order to govern the with laurel of Exalted Horen and proclaim the Scrolls of the Blessed and Holy Scriptures of the Canon, both  strength of heart and body are profoundly vital. Moreover, it is the strength which has deteriorated within me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity in the most sacred ministry of GOD and of His Holy church entrusted to me. Therefore, for this reason, both with my full awareness of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom and without reservation, I, High Pontiff Sixtus the Fourth, Vicar of GOD, declare my abdication of the Immaculate Throne entrusted to me by the College of Cardinals on the 29th of the Amber Cold, in the year of Our Lord 1567. Finally, as of the 5th of the Grand Harvest, in the year of Our Lord, 1577, the Seat of The Immaculate Throne and the See of St Thomas shall be vacant and an election to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked in whose responsibilities and competence it is.

**The Seal of the Sede vacante is stamped adjacent to seal of the High Pontiff.

    SECTION IV

It is the intention of this Pontificate to restore the traditional Apostolic Succession of the Immaculate Throne. The tradition and heritage of the Laurel of Horen holds both scriptural and pragmatic importance in the vitality of the sanctity of the holy Church of the Canon. In this regard, Sixtus IV, Vicar of GOD, has decreed the reforging of a new Laurel for the Holy Office of the Seven Skies so as to restore this sacred succession as seen in the anointing of Horen by GOD in the Waters of Gamesh. Let it be done.

    SECTION V

The Pontificate canonizes Miguel Cortez, a valiant servant of GOD and defender of all holiness. His service is unrivaled during the reigns of Everard II and Lucien III over the course of defending the Lord and the honor of His most blessed and ever perpetual church. The humility and diligence in establishing order for Inquisitorial tribunals in combating heresy and evil on the domain of the Godhead. Let the soul of Miguel Cortez, now residing in the Fifth sky, transcend from the heavenly plane onto our humble hearts. We now pray that the sword of Saint Miguel Cortez be a manifestation of faith and strength in our times. By our Apostolic Authority, we proclaim Saint Miguel Cortez into the communion of the virtuous. In nomine Patris, et Horenus, et Exaltus Honorem. Amen.

    Encyclical Concerning Indulgences, 1573

    b014e19326df78204277642d681d9559.jpg

We have been called upon in recent weeks to proclaim a crusade against the heathens and apostates inhabiting the Dreadlands, partly in retribution for their crimes against us and partly to bring God’s Word into a faithless land. However, in conference with His Imperial Majesty we have found that while a holy war may be justified it is not necessarily prudent for either the success of our cause or the health of the body of Church--accordingly we decline to proclaim a crusade unless circumstances change to require it. Nevertheless, we judge the intent and nature of His Imperial Majesty’s war to be just, for it comprises both an act of self-defense and a pious attempt to save the souls of nonbelievers. Accordingly, we exercise our authority to offer plenary absolution to sincere believers as such:

    • For those who combat apostates in the Dreadlands alongside His Imperial Majesty’s forces, we absolve them of venial sins of doubt and negligence in prayer for which they are sincerely penitent before God.

    • For those who bring about heartfelt conversion from any resident of that nation, we absolve them of mortal sins of blasphemy, heresy, and apostasy for which they are sincerely contrite before God and which they have confessed before a priest of the Church.

    • For those who secure land and devote it to the wellbeing of the pious poor and the Mother Church, particularly by construction and consecration of a chapel or monastery, we absolve all involved of venial and mortal sins of sloth, wrath, covetousness, and desire for which they are sincerely contrite before God and which they have confessed before a priest of the Church.

We enjoin those participants in this conflict to act with temperance and virtue, eschewing sinful acts such as the taking of spoils or the abuse of the weak. We likewise remind those who receive these absolutions that the Lord is both the Most Merciful and the Most Wise--He rejects insincere penance, and a sin committed with purposeful disrespect for His mercy is more grievous than any other.

  6. A Writ of Excommunication

As Decreed by His Holiness and the Synod on the 13th of The Grand Harvest, 1573

    Foreword.

On the aftermath of the riot that have taken place within the streets of Johannesburg, His Holiness wishes to affirm his intentions concerning the perceived violence and shock. It is the vigilance of the Canonist flock, that the justice of God be manifested in all the baptized and elect. The plague of Dreadlander apostasy and injustice must be inhibited truthfully, guided by the Spirit of GOD. It is with this notion that His Holiness blesses those who fight against the encroachments of Iblees and of heresy, yet does not condone for the riot’s desire to damage any edifice within the capital city.

    Declaration.

As of this saint’s day, the Synod of the Holy Church of the Canon, along with the High Pontiff, His Holiness, Sixtus IV, guided by the Creator and in pursuit of the just judgment of GOD, does decree the excommunication of the illegitimate Guy Owyn from the Holy Canonist Church.

    Reason.

As decreed in the Imperial Legal Codex and with full coordination without reservation from the High Magistrate, The Church finds reasons justified in secular law, pertaining to the Second, Fifth, and Sixth of the Ten Tables of the law. It is with appropriate intent and causation to extend the writ of excommunication by reasons of attempted murder upon the Vicar of God himself within the walls of the Imperial Palace. Let it be known, that on the day of such indecency and sacrilege, that Guy Owyn, with full malice and intent, pointed a loaded crossbow with the finger at the ready to fire at High Pontiff Sixtus IV. Upon his exit, Owyn's audacious and ill-conceived nature impelled him to fire an arrow at the direction of His Holiness’ departure. It is unbecoming for a member that is so much affiliated with the House of Horen to act with such sacrilege and aggressive conduct.

    Conclusion.

For the Glory of GOD and the fellowship of the Canonist Church, in these presence, hereby sever Guy Owyn from salvation of the Seven Skies for reasons of injury to the Person, the Faith, and the Morality of Imperial Oren. But let it be known, it is not mere injury to justice, but blatant blasphemy against the Divinity of the Lord. So help us GOD.

    Signed,

HIGH PONTIFF SIXTUS IV, Successor of the Immaculate Throne of the Exalted, Supreme Pontiff of the Church of Canon, Keeper of the Holy Scrolls, High Servant to the Exalted's Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of God, does decree…

    SECTION I

    REAFFIRMATION OF TRADITION

Let the Church and her faithful recount and reaffirm our pious intentions before God. Our efforts in Vailor, as in all lands before, have found footing but remain incomplete. We are thus charged to continue the reestablishment of Everardian traditions within the hearts of misguided believers. We must invigorate our flock with values of political neutrality, elaboration without innovation, academic debate, and mindfulness of tradition.

God is the Most Wise, who entrusted our people with the laws essential to a morally healthy society. The Canon is applicable in all ages and all civilizations, but it does not inhibit societal change; it is no restraint to progress, but a foundation for righteous self-improvement. Thus we are called to accept the evolution of our culture’s customs and government, while remaining steadfast to the plan of the Lord. Accordingly, we profess our neutrality in matters of state and dedicate ourself to the codification of ecclesiastical law.

    SECTION II

    ECCLESIASTICAL REDISTRICTING

With the coming of new borders and new lands, we like others, must adapt. With the evacuation of the faithful from Vailor, we disestablish its ecclesiastical provinces and proclaim their replacements in this world. In light of the current charters, the Pontificate has bestowed the following to be dioceses under regional bishoprics.

The Capital city of Holy Oren, Johannesburg, shall be the Seat of the Pontiff and the Administrative Ecclesiastical Centre of Immaculate governance. Let the other dioceses be known, their appointments apparent, when the lands have been resettled by the Grace of God for specific regional distribution.

    -Alec van Allen, Pontifical Chamberlain

-Dargrind Floreck, Apostolic Nuncio, Ambassador of the Holy See

    SECTION IV

    SECTION V

A Holy Exarch, the first being Yaroslav Vasiliev, a subordinate and an ordained Bishop under the Primacy of the High Pontiff shall be appointed to oversee this act of ministry for the Raevir culture.

    ECONOMIC POLICY

It is without any reservations that the High Pontiff stresses the importance of charity. The divine and most profound mercy of God is manifested in the faithful, most particularly in alms giving and in the reaffirmation of tradition. It is deeply engraved in the faith of all Canonists to uphold their baptism and provide for all those in the name of God. Charity must not be inhibited, but radiated through each and every person, culture, institution, and state. Mercy is at the heart of the Canon.

    CAUSE FOR CANONIZATION

The Pontificate, upon full acceptance by the Synod, has found it under the Apostolic Authority to canonize High Pontiff Daniel I, a saint, by the Holy Canonist Church for his pastoral services and length of service. of the Holy Canon

    Patefactio Canone Sacrae Scripturae

    SOLEMNLY PROMULGATED

    BY HIS HOLINESS

    HIGH PONTIFF SIXTUS IV,

    THE DEEP COLD, 1567

    Foreword.

In the Holy Canon, God has revealed to humanity his plan for the fulfillment of the mortal world. Therefore, in obedience to His Grace and His Will, and in accordance with the traditions of our predecessors, it is our intent as the leader of the Church to provide authentic doctrine concerning the scripture which is the foundation of our religion. So help us God.

Chapter I. The Essence of the Word

All things know their origin in the omnipotent will of God, who ordains the nature of the world. However, though the Lord’s hand is in all things, He has left no maker’s mark upon our home except His Word, which was given to the Exalted Prophets as the Holy Canon. Thus, the Canon is holy because it preserves the words of God, as they were spake centuries ago. In His inestimable wisdom and mercy, God through the Canon defines the nature of creation and divinity, and of sin and virtue. It is a sign of His love that He offers truth and holiness to all who would accept the Canon. And thus he reminds us in every book of the Gospel of the importance of the Canon:

“Lo, in the name of the Lord GOD,

    the Most Merciful, Singular, and

    Omnipotent, listen and attend

with pious heed to this inspired text.”

Clearly, the voice of God, from the Seven Skies, is heard. We do not praise a distant god who does not understand our needs and petitions. The Lord is real, present, and

provides us with such blessings and instruction as we require. Thus, we heed the Word that is the origin of our faith and virtue. In brief, the Holy Canon was revealed to us by the inspiration of the Divine, through the Exalted Prophets, the Aenguls, and the communion of saints.

Chapter II. The Purpose of the Word

Let it be stated, herein, that the Holy Canon is not a mere work of literature or a book of useful advice. Neither is it regarded as incomprehensible to the faithful. It is the

infinitely perceptible voice of the Divine, to be employed in daily life and in the exercise of all activities. The Holy Canon is the declaration of God’s sovereignty, and moreover a meditative interpretation of how all virtuous beings should understand each other and the world they inhabit. The Scroll of Virtue emphasizes God’s holy law in canticles

pertaining to various aspects of humanity and the service to the Creator. The Word is meant to be both a literal and spiritual guide. Furthermore, the Canon reveals the Sacraments of the Holy Church which must be completed in one’s complete path to the universal call to sainthood.

Chapter III. The Use of the Word and the Evangelization of Others

For both priests and laity, the Canon is a source of inspiration for the service of the Lord. It is the hallmark of our faith, and motivates the Faith’s adherents to share God’s great wisdom with those who are born in ignorance, or who lose their way towards the light. Moreover, it is the use of the Canon to instruct all the intelligent races in the

application of virtue, so that they might find peace and unity in the Lord’s plan. The Scroll of Spirit asserts this common mission for the faithful to find their calling in

communicating the Lord’s will. Its various epistles encourage us to instruct heathens in the incorrectness of their beliefs, and by baptism they accept the truth of the Canon.

Chapter IV. The Plight of the Faithful

Lastly, it is imperative to ascertain the importance of the Canon not only on earth but in our heavenly afterlife. The visions of the prophet Siegmund grant us the insight of what the Divine shall do and how the redemption of all sins and peoples shall occur before the Seven Skies. This reinforces and reminds us of the gifts of our faith, and the need to stay true to the one God, who loves and grants justice to those who follow.

    “So treadeth forth the Skies

the prophets of GOD, and in their

company the virtuous dead. And here the faithful

    are lifted up and marshaled.”

    Apostolic Constitution on The Liturgy,

    Worship, and Sacraments

    Liturgiam, Cultum, Sacramentum

    SOLEMNLY PROMULGATED

    BY HIS HOLINESS

    HIGH PONTIFF SIXTUS IV

    THE DEEP COLD, 1567

    Foreword.

The Holy Mass, one of the sacraments of our Church, is the highest form of worship and devotion. Likewise, it is the Pontificate’s intention to make the liturgy and all the traditions of the church more understandable to the laity, and to better define the theological spectrum of the tenets of the faith.

Chapter I. The Mass and Liturgy

The liturgy is the tradition in which the order of the mass in conducted. As such, the ordained clergy proceed down the aisle. This is an act of solidarity, representing the united procession of the faithful at the end of days. The procession is to be accompanied with the chant,

“Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus, Dominus Deus Sabaoth.

Pleni sunt caeli et terra gloria tua.

    Hosanna in excelsis.”

Upon beginning mass, the priest shall begin by signing the cross of Lorraine, saying, “In nomine Patris, et Horenus, et Exaltus Honorem. Amen.” This is the signum crucis lorrainem, or the Sign of the Lorraine Cross. Next, the priest invokes God’s omniscience and the Canon for wisdom and strength, thus reciting the following prayers:

“Blessed is our God always, in every age and every era.”

“Blessed is His Grace and His Light, which brings all Creation.”

“Blessed is His Canon, His Word bound by truth.”

    “Amen.”

Following the invocation of the Divine, the priest then holds up the Holy Canon, opening it to the Scrolls to read from. It may be followed by a homily. Then we proclaim the following praise,

“We have heard His truth and we are bound by His Grace.”

Upon doing so, the priest, along with any altar servers or ministers, shall take time to collect charity and alms.

The priest then says the final blessing, “Benedicat te omnipotens Deus.” or  “May the Almighy God bless you.”

The sign of the Lorraine cross is followed to conclude. The priest then processes whence he began.

    Chapter II. Worship

The praise to the Creator must be solemn and come with a contrite heart. Therefore, the mass must be held in the same manner. It is our duty to attend church or pray on holy days of obligation to ensure that the saints shall guide us through the trials we face. As Canonists, we aspire to virtue and deep devotion to the Godhead. Wayshrines may be employed in the worship of God, or in supplicating the intercession of the saints, and can be constructed for towns, homes, and battlefields. A common and reverent gesture is to bow. By bowing before the altar, we honor God’s divinity and sovereignty as King of Creation. We kiss the cross because it is a representation of every being’s intimate

    relationship with the Lord.

    Chapter III. The Sacraments

The administration of the sacraments is among the most vital traditions of the Canonist Faith. Truly, it signifies, both in essence and literally, the divine presence of the Lord in our lives. At baptism, we are called to be servants of God and to devote our livelihood to His Will. At reconciliation, we are reminded of His Infinite Mercy and make our own atonement for what sins we have committed. Matrimony revitalizes our mind and body for the mortal journey, as we prepare to be fruitful to the Lord for the fulfillment of His Plan. The call to God’s ministry is an important vocation, which allows its recipient to become a vessel for the Lord’s power, and reconcile the faithful before Him..

Baptism is administered by the use of water, blessed by an ordained priest and traced on the head of an infant, ideally within seven days after birth from a lawful marital union. It may be administered by a deacon, priest, or bishop. In cases of recent conversion, baptism may be administered to an adult in a similar manner, but only be a priest or bishop.

Reconciliation is administered by a priest or bishop, oftentimes in a confessional or a private setting. There, as faithful and as flawed beings, we are called to mind our own sinfulness and ask God’s mercy and pardon. In this way, we display our remorse to the Seven Skies and plead for the blessings of His Light.

Ordination is administered by a bishop for the sake of bestowing the authority to proclaim the Canon in the grace of the ordained priesthood. Priests are ordained upon

completing their thesis and demonstrating suitable knowledge of the Church. It requires a vow of faith to the Canonist tenets, as well as a vow of celibacy pursuant to the past

decrees of High Pontiffs. Lastly, priests must take a vow of obedience to their High Pontiff, his successors, and the same towards bishops and cardinals.

Matrimony is another calling to share in God’s love, for it displays his gifts of pleasure, joy, and unity among humanity. When Horen and Julia were anointed by God, the precedent was established, regarding the sanctity of marriage for all humans. As it is a holy union, the ones receiving this sacrament must be at a state of grace, Furthermore, it is at the discretion of the clergy who shall preside over the ceremony on whether the bride and groom should go to confession. It must be administered by a priest or bishop as part of a Holy Mass. It is a call to transforming one in the flesh and spirit.

    Process of Beatification and

    Canonization

    Santo Subito: Beatificationis et canonizationis

    SOLEMNLY PROMULGATED

    BY HIS HOLINESS

    HIGH PONTIFF SIXTUS IV

    THE DEEP COLD, 1567

    Foreword.

Such as those whom we now deem the Exalted, the prophets who “listened with pious heed to his inspired text,” we find in our church, men and women of extraordinary virtue and whom we now venerate to God as once living examples of holiness.

    Chapter I. The Beatification Process

Upon consultation, with prayer and reflection, the High Pontiff or the Synod shall compose a cause to venerate an individual who has shown deep devotion to faith and

charity. The factor that justifies the need to be deemed worthy for veneration is a retrospective analysis of their life, whether their testimony is a prime example of ideal

holiness for others to follow in their footsteps. If they, the aforesaid find plausible clause to do so, the individual shall be bestowed the title, “Blessed,” prefixed to their name or titles.

    Chapter II. Canonization

Should the ecclesiastical hierarchy find that the one they have deemed “Blessed” has been found to show a miracle or an extraordinary form of virtuous deed which has

impacted their contemporary era with significant positivity, the option to saint them is likely possible. The determination to canonize must be invoked from Pontifical

infallibility and the confirmation from the Penarch by a three-fifths majority.

    THE DEEP COLD, 1567

    Preamble.

For in grace, by Divine intervention and the revelation of scripture by extraordinary means, it is herein granted that all of humanity and the creations of God are one

inseparable because of their origin and faith in the Creator.

    Diversity among Human Culture

Within the anointed Holy Orenian Empire and her dominions, we find, most evidently, humans of all cultures and origins. Likewise, the diversity is gift that impels us to be tolerant of each other. Let us call to mind that we are not enemies but brethren in the Light of the Godhead. The creation in diversity reflects God’s omnipotent Being, and therefore, impels us to the inclination of tolerance among us all. We are all bound by the Canon in truth and charity, to serve each other and praise our common Creator to forge that is His most divine Plan. That is the fulfillment of the law. Amen.

    SOLEMNLY PROMULGATED

    BY HIS HOLINESS

    HIGH PONTIFF SIXTUS IV

    THE DEEP COLD, 1567

    Preamble.

The Church traces its origins from the beginning of time. For when God created the world and our lives, we were baptized in His name and share in the covenant of His

providence. When St Horen sowed the roots of our civilization, with the infinite wisdom of the Exalted Prophets, he imposed the holy law. Thus, in his most lawful lineage, St Owyn made truly the foundations of our Church and the establishing its hierarchical primacy to govern the spiritual spectrum of God’s kingdom.

    The Inherited Wisdom of God

The Holy Canonist Church is the one true institution of truth. It dispenses the holy law into the hearts and minds of all of its people. It’s Vicar of God, the High Pontiff, who is the sole representative of God’s divinity and covenant, is tasked with the mediative responsibility as an emissary between the Seven Skies and the mortal realm. In order to facilitate the ever increasing nature of his Holy Office, he is granted the moral burden of infallibility. In this manner, the Vicar of God, His Holiness, is prudent in his words in the exercising of his holy authority. He is absolute in name and in practice, administering to the flock and defining the doctrine as well as dispensing the truth in the name of the communion of the saints.

    THE DEEP COLD, 1568

    Dear brethren in the Lord,

Due to the recent troubling interactions among taverns and places of abundance in spirits, it has come to my intention that the consumption of liquor is detrimental in the worship and solemnity of God’s sovereignty. We are temples of the Light, constantly aspiring to purify ourselves with infinite goodness. Therefore, I have decreed to deem it sinful for the consumption of liquor and spirits on the seventh day of the week.

    IV. The Pontifical Seat

In light of internal conflict within Oren, it is the best intention for the seat of the Church's power as well as the well-being of the Vicar of GOD to remain and continue

the centralization of holy affairs within the Holy Lands of Visiga. It is to continue the spiritual powers of the Holy Pontiff with great diligence, free from politics, war, and

calumniation. The vices of the conflicts within State have proven to be a burdensome toll upon the holy domain of God. The Church wishes to acknowledge its sovereign

primacy in the authority it possesses. Furthermore, the Pontiff shall retain its claims in Visiga and whilst maintaining a regard for peaceable geographic distance from the

Imperial State and temporal matters therein. Nevertheless, the Vicar of God and the Church shall remain truthful to Oren and the Imperial seat as well as to the Canonist flock within the Empire.

  10. Pontifical Encyclical: Unitatem in nostri mundi

    "Unity in our world."

The Jubilee Year of Unity, The Amber Cold, (1567-1568)

[The following event shall span one role-play year]

    Pinturicchio-Pope-Borgia-BR600.jpg

*A notice is passed throughout Oren from the Pontifical State of Visiga*

    My dearest friends in God,

We are at a crucial period in our time. I took the motto "Unitatem in Regnum Dei" meaning "Unity in the Kingdom of God" emphasizing the main theme of this pontificate. We have all witnessed the tragedy of disunion among our brethren in light of this civil unrest that we deem The Rebellion. Brother against brother, father against son, lords against vassals, and suffering walks of life enduring the struggles of our mistakes and misguided actions. Tis time to cease our sinful ways and recognize our divine mandate as a universal Church and an imperial Empire anointed by the Seven Skies. For if we cause division, we cause fear rather than

faith. In this period of disunity, I assert my firm resolve to make amends for the reparation of sin among all peoples of the Canonist faith.

You common sinners! Rise up against your temptations and ill-minded inclinations!  Lay down your swords against one another and become Soldiers of God! It is our duty to help others, our brothers and sisters in the household and in the same borders, to aid each other in faith for the common good of our welfare. Vigilance for all that is holy, for the sake of promoting unity among the people of the Kingdom of God is what the Lord demands of us! Be steadfast! The Exalted Ones have warned us and proclaimed the flaws and follies of humanity, yet we also rejoice in our efforts for greatness.

Therefore, I, High Pontiff Sixtus IV, proclaim a Jubilee Year of Unity, a solemn liturgical celebration in our church, open for all to participate in should their faith impel them to do so. During this time, I ask for the faithful to pray with earnest regard for their neighbors and also for their enemies. We must reconcile and rid ourselves from the vile nature of chaos and calamity that tears the very fabric of our civilization apart. For all who partake in this glorious sacrifice for unity within the Realm, they shall receive plenary indulgences for their sins!

I decree that the following acts shall be eligible to receive a plenary indulgence during the Jubilee Year of Unity:

    I. Praying for ones neighbors and enemies.

II. Going to confession to show remorse for causing division.

III. Joining any authorized institution for the service of others or the promotion of the Canonist faith.

IV: Fasting for three days and attending mass the day after you end your fast.

  11.

    Coronation-Of-Pope-Paul-II-$281417-71$29-1534.jpg

Dear brethren in GOD,                                                                                                                                       29th of  The Amber Cold, 1567

"During these great times of challenge and intensity, we pray to the Creator, of which we derive our wisdom, strength, and might. We pray to the Saints as prime examples of

holiness and virtue. I take the name, Sixtus IV, in memory of Sixtus III who reigned from 1512-1518 virtuously by making the conversion of all peoples to God a mandate and died a martyr for the glory of God. Therefore, it is with great joy and modesty that I was chosen by the Seven Skies to serve as the Vicar of God, representative of his Canon and authority in the Realm.

The Church is alive. With this statement, let us call to mind our universal mission of evangelization, peace, unity, and service to one another. Let the Gospel be heard all throughout our hearts and may it be heard to those who do not know our Great Lord. The symbol of my office is of divinity reserved to serve the Lord with great diligence.

As Shepherd of the faithful flock, I have been entrusted to guide all Canonist to this aforesaid called of devotion. First and foremost, I ask you to pray for me, and in turn, I shall do

the same for all of you. Let us always remember our true mission as beings of God, that we are the fulfillment of His divine plan. I understand the many problems Oren faces in these recent times. I assure you, your church, ordained by the Light of the Godhead, shall fulfill its ministry and exercise his authority, both temporal and spiritual, for the good of all men and woman. Let it be known, for my intentions are to honor God and administer the sacraments with great reverence."

The High Pontiff ends his homily to the people. He then takes his vows, reciting all of the Principles of Faith toward the clergy and the laity gathered.

"I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the Creator and Guide of everything that has been created; He alone has made, does make, and will make all things.

I believe with perfect faith that the Exalted were the Creators Regents in this realm and that there obedience is worship to the Creator.

I believe with perfect faith that the Aenguls are The Creators servants.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is One, and that there is no unity in any manner like His, and that He alone is our God, who was, and is, and will be.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, has no body, and that He is free from all the properties of matter, and that there can be no (physical) comparison to Him whatsoever.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the first and the last.

I believe with perfect faith that to the Creator, Blessed be His Name, and to Him alone, it is right to worship, and that it is not right to worship any being besides Him.

I believe with perfect faith that all the words of the Exalted Prophets are true.

I believe with perfect faith that the prophecy of Horen I our teacher, blessings be upon him, was true, and that he was the chief of the Exalted, both those who preceded him and those who followed him.

I believe with perfect faith that the entire scrolls that is now in our possession is the same that was given to our Exalted, blessings be upon them.

I believe with perfect faith that the Holy Scrolls can not be corrupted.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, knows all the deeds of beings and all their thoughts.

I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, rewards those who keep His commandments and punishes those that transgress them.

I believe with perfect faith that there will be eternal splendor at the time when it shall please the Creator, Blessed be His name, and His mention shall be exalted for ever and ever."

The High Pontiff then pauses, recomposing himself before tracing the cross of Lorraine whilst giving the blessing.

"I now bless you all, In nomine Patris, et Horenus, et Exaltus Honorem."

A priest would walk up, proclaiming to the congregation,

"I announce to you with great joy: We have a High Pontiff!"

'The Holy Church has suffered a great loss as of late. The Immaculate Throne of the Vicar of God is vacant as the sudden death of High Pontiff Theodosius is

announced from Holofernes in the Holy Lands of Visiga. With his death, The Holy Church of the Canon is now under "sede vacante," until a new Supreme

Pontiff is chosen by God through the conclave.'

The Cathedral in Luciensport is bathed in the light of a thousand candles and misty from the incense proliferating in the air within. Many pilgrims, both clergy and laity alike are gathered, crowding the Church for prayer. The crowd has stretched outside the doors as the many voices all are chanted in unison with devotions and petitions. From the incense-filled room come the College of

Cardinals, vested in their most elaborate attire in solemnity of the occasion. As the murmurs and sounds fade, Archbishop of Erochland and member of the Synod, Cardinal Benegar Gotthold, rises to begin with a prayer:

"In nomine Patris, et Horenus, et Exaltus Honorem."

"Heavenly Creator, walk with us as our mediator and judge to endow us with a sound mind and contrite heart in the election of the next Holy Pontiff. This we ask in pray, in the name of all Aenguls, all saints, and of the universal church, Amen."

Benegar looks up, pausing, before he addresses the gathered, reading from a prepared parchment.

"May grace and peace be with you all.        "Testor Patris Dominum, qui me iudicaturus est, me eum eligere, quem secundam Deum iudico eligi debere." (I call as my witness the Father our Lord, who will be my judge that my vote is given to the one who, Before GOD, I profess should be elected.)

May GOD deem him worthy to serve as the High Pontiff of His Most Holy Church. Amen.

  15. To the Supreme Pontiff, His Holiness,

Bd541khb5b-jeR7OfoX4Fj5IoFltYicINeLTJFKmn ecclesiastical thesis concerning the doctrine of virtue.

For God is good, so are all things created by him. The Lord is the literal essence of perfection. To understand our creation, one must understand the omnipotence and omniscience that the Lord possesses. We, are mortal humans, modeled in his trueness. We were created in fulfillment of His divine Plan poured forth by the oneness of his grace and singularity of His glorious Being.

Thus when the Lord, by His divine being, had inspired man the inherent trait of piety, he did institute in his chosen creation, the mandate to spread the Faith and bless the realm in His Holy name. For when the Lord breathed and His providence was revealed, it was he who instructed his creation, firth the Aenguls and the Daemons, to serve him. So too are we, bound by the Creator’s eternal governance, and sealed by the Sacraments of the Blessed Holy Church of Canon, to keep all that is holy and praise the One True God.

It is said, in accordance to the Scroll of Gospels, that Man was formed in God’s omnipotence to fulfill his most Divine plan. Given this mission, we are called to holiness, by both clergy and layman alike, to recognize our faith and be guided by its tenets. It is the mission of the Church and all those entities bound by its grace and infallibility to preach the Scroll of Gospels to all creation in an effort to bring all back to the God of gods.

Virtue is prevalent in all aspects of life. We are called by virtue and instituted by the Holy Church to actively engage in contributing to God’s plan. This is most evident in ministry, observance of holy days, and charity. For when we abandon virtue and seek ourselves false pleasures, we distance ourselves from the Supreme Being from which we had derived.

From the moment of creation to the last breath of our mortal life, virtue must be upheld. In the same manner as the Aenguls were to protect and serve the Throne of the Seventh sky.

Without virtue, where is God’s grace? We rejoice in our allegiance to all that is good, to all that belongs to God. We find that it is this same aspect that restores order, comforts the meek, console the poor in spirit, and glorify the anointed.

As foretold to the faithful in the Most Holy Scriptures of God, we are made known to his benevolence. Yet, we are also aware of his eternal judgment for the wicked and the vain. Diligence in virtue must be the pillars of faith, and are what bind the Church on Earth with the Church in the Seven Skies.

It was said that Iblees, Daemon and chief among them envied God, he was most definitely cast away by the Creator’s omnipotence and banished to the void. It is with this power that the Canonist Faith is reminded to serve God in virtue and to be faithful in the call of holiness in whatever trade or walk of life we find ourselves.

To be created is to the most precious gift. In this gift, virtue reminds us of forever recognizing the realness of God and the grandiosity of his divine Nature. Without the essence of virtue, what might we expect? God is without peer and is without sin, for he is perfect. We are the instruments to fulfill God’s plan and to assist in others to do the same.

In essence of this theological analysts, it is the doctrine of virtue itself, highlighted by the scroll of Virtue in the Scriptures, as the driving force of the Canonist life. Virtue is the binding essence of our call and as we are instruments of the Creator’s most divine plan, it is our aspiration to live in accordance to His will.

Virtue and faith, diligence, and charity, all share oneness and it is these in the dogma that continue to shape and reshape the life in Oren.

We are baptized in water, yet we are anointed by the virtue in service to God. It must be emphasized in this statement that virtue is the catalyst of all ministry of the Church.

      Blessed be God.

Why do you wish to assist the Church?: To fulfill a life of piety and to spread the word of the Church of Canon to all creation. Growing up in the Holy Oregonian Empire and seeing the Church at work has inspired me to help proliferate the faith as a man of the cloth under the Canonist banner.

What’s your Minecraft account name?: Piov

    How old are you?: 16

Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): I am aware.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Have paroused them multiple times.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: “In-game harassment that includes poor and or malicious RP that is enacted to target or single out an individual for the purpose of harassment, in most cases for OOC reasoning, will not be tolerated...Scenarios will be analyzed case by case and left to the moderators to decide if the claims of such are legitimate.”

This rule stood out extremely to me as I was going through the rules. I am glad that this aspect of role-play is reinforced with some sort of code of conduct to ensure that all aspects of the scene are regulated and put to standard. This is a prevalent issue I had experienced with on previous role-play servers.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): The combat role-play rules seem a bit unclear to me. Perhaps some clarification and or eyewitness experience can help me understand it a bit more.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: A Friend.

Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of one adopting a character persona in a given contemporary context. In this manner, one would “be” that character, acting in a way in which they would. Roleplaying involves cognitive evaluation, thinking the way that character would think, express their strengths, weaknesses, likes, and dislikes. It is a continual express of that character in accordance to their beliefs, race, personality, sufferings and pleasures.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming entails the utilization of Out-of-Character information towards one’s gains in the In-Character spectrum. It is using what you may have heard Out-of-Character and integrating this information into your role-play and vice-versa.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming involves utilizing forced actions into role-play. It is a form of coercion implied in your action rather than giving a chance for other parties of the scene to interact freely. It is a definitive action rather than an implied one.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Benegar Gotthold was born in Felsen to relatively well-out family. He was educated around the capital as a young boy and had a relatively estranged relationship with his father. He was a rebellious child, often sneaking into brothels and experimenting with alcohol. Having been raised under the pressure of combative education, Benegar during his adolescence detested war and the combative arts. In staunch contrast to his rambunctious past, as he came of age and grew into his adulthood, Benegar began to accustom himself to a life of frugality, humility, piety, and diligence. As a boy, he had grown fond of the High Pontiff. He became weary of materialism, mainstream politics, and had simple desires to fulfill in his life’s needs.

Of  all the trades, he admired fishing to be the most pleasing, quiet, and calming of tasks. Benegar often took daily walks, almost as if it were a pilgrimage, to the ports or sit at the shore with his fishing rod. It was one of the fewest activities he and his father mutually loved and was a hobby shared with his brother. When he was nineteen, Benegar engaged a Heartlandish woman whom he love for some time. However, she grew lustful and was caught by a distraught Benegar cheating with another man. After experiencing devastation in his misfortunes with love, he decided not to marry anyone else. Shortly after, tragedy struck when his brother had died, leaving his nieces and nephews in loneliness with his death. As a result, he believed it was a mortal obligation to help them in their life and to support the relatives of the Gotthold family.

When his nieces and nephews were grown and ventured on their own, Benegar had decided to take his own life’s journey around Felsen and other settlements. Upon returning home, he had resolved to chronicle his life’s experience and serve society well through his diligence and beliefs. He carries nothing more than his name, what little money he has, his memories, and knowledge. His next mission entering early mid-life is to find true meaning in life’s value, helping his surviving immediate family, and searching for happiness in a role that would benefit himself and society.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)

Diligent to the bone, Benegar takes pride in work and fulfilling his obligations. He is a pious individual, always believing in the need for spiritual consolation. He is also frugal, not subscribing to excessively, pomp, and toiling with salacious behavior. He is also characterized by his strictness and obstinate demeanor toward societal values and trends. He also can be quite cantankerous toward others, often resorting to impulse consequently. Benegar Gotthold can be characterized with a "by the book" personality, perceiving everything as black and white and with a conservative mindset.

A quirk of his is that he often adjusts his clothing and bites his lip whenever he is nervous or in awkward situations.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) The two main goals Benegar has is to become a knowledgeable person, becoming as educated and well versed in all aspects of life. He also aspires to live a life in example toward the Church and find life’s truest truth. He’d probably align himself toward work, prayer, and charity to the Church of Canon and to the meek.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)

His prime strength is sense of determination analytical mind. He is a sharp thinker, often confining himself to pensive inclinations and also when put to a task, Benegar is often one to fulfill the role to the best of his ability. As a result, he conveys a sense of camaraderie and amiability. He is also a great writer and a somewhat decent orator. A lesser known talent is his ability as a counselor and mediator.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)

He sometimes can be described as somewhat asocial. Benegar has a tendency to be quite introverted and reserved. He sometimes can be a “stick in the mud,” not being the most extravagant color in the rainbow but a dynamic character in his beliefs nonetheless. He also suffers from acrophobia, being morbidly afraid of being in high areas.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Benegar has black hair with some areas turning slightly grey. The hairline is receding and his hair is rarely groomed and waving about frequently. Benegar has hazel brown eyes. He stands at 6’0” even, with a simple tan robe with slightly worn sleeves and torn areas on the bottom of his robes. He also walks with simple sandals (or barefoot usually when inside buildings).
