Karl Sonro was born into a modest family in the country side of the Holy Orenian Empire. He has always been interested in history, his favorite subject being the Oren Civil War. The main reason for this is because when he was a child, his father looked after a crypt where all the dead soldiers would be kept. Though, years later he now watches over the crypt, watching the dead bodies of soldiers and heroes, outlaws and thieves alike find their rest into the unknown. He once had a girlfriend but she became a nurse for the army and was killed in the siege of the dwarven fort Kho'Nogaak. This destroyed him as he watched his love be carried to her tomb. He has now given up the job of being the Crypt Keeper, unable to watch another soul be taken to their permanent grave. Karl now roams the land looking for a new meaning, something to make him truly happy. It seems to Karl that no matter how much he roams or how close he is to being happy, the image of his love in the crypt will never escape him. Karl will not get close to people, afraid that they will just leave in and leave him in an even worse state of being even though his greatest fear is being alone. Karl believes that what good there is in the world is gone with the constant warfare he believes the Orenian Empire has started only to conquer those weaker. With everything he has seen and believes, Karl now marches forth into the world. Karl has a dark personality and his sense of humor is equally as dark. He likes to read and on occasion write if he feels as though he is in a good mood.
