To the Mysterious, Magical, and Marvelous Dr. Fong!

It is I! Your bearded lady enthusiast and carnie pal.

In your eyes, what makes the best adventure stories?

If you had a genie in a bottle and got three wishes, what would you wish for? (Don’t wish for more wishes!)

Should I expect more incredible amusements or are we drifting now?

What do you think of the dwarf fellas?

It’s fantastic to see you around!

It’s nice to see you too! Hope you are having fun!

    1. In adventure stories I love to see a character rise from nothing and become something great. The rougher the start the better. I like to see people building amazing things from nothing.
    1. Three wishes. Let’s see if I can fix the Universe.
    • An end to suffering
    • An end to boredom (infinite novelty)
    • Freedom for the genie (good karma)
    1. I’m not sure about amusements. Perhaps that has run it’s course. I’m not sure about what my future holds.
    2. dwarf fellas are alright I guess, but I like the ladies better. winky face.

what was the best campaign you were in

My favorite campaigns were usually home brewed and always the ones that went off the rails in directions that weren't intended.

wait aren't you the guy from massivecraft

I don't know about the "from" part, but yes I'm well known there. I was public relations staff for the last couple of years. Now I am beholden to no mortal and a free agent. I am ronin, a wandering samurai with no lord.

What is your favorite piece of lore?

I've been reading about goblins and golems. I looked at a few of the different magicks. I was also reading up about the different cities and places.

what're some of your favourite D&D characters you've played?

    Vitalis - Human dark priest

Recently, I had fun converting the original Dr Fong character into a 5e character. My friends and I only get together a couple of times a year to play, but we all have characters and it's always a good time. Minecraft has taken over most of my roleplaying time these days.

As an application team member, how would you say your experience has been these first few days? How does it compare to other servers? What are some things that you don't like about the server? Your feedback is very important to us.

It has been a really solid experience so far. I have been whitelisted here for quite a while, but have never spent more than a couple of minutes here before a few days ago.

It's very different from the server where I have been playing for the last five years. Its exciting to see all the different towns and keeps as I journey the road. I met a couple people in each town and they would explain to me all about their history and why I should come to live with them in their special piece of Atlas.

I have been enjoying your wiki and reading old forum posts to get a feeling for things. One thing I am not used to is having the roleplay so spread out across the map. It's very interesting that people can go off on their own and start a roleplay location or town that grows into a piece of the lore one day. Things seem very player driver which is refreshing.

I'm not sure how to bring this up, but while playing I get a message every few minutes about certain incidents that happened here. I'm glad the situation was solved, but as a new player it's a scary introduction to the server. That could probably be toned down.

Why here? What draws you to LotC? What do you like most about LotC? What do you hate most about LotC?

I have heard about this place for a long time. It's name uttered as a curse word.

Where better to go than a place where you weren't allowed to play?

You have been here forever. That alone has power. I respect things that are old and hang on to themselves. Like me.

I'm not sure what I like the most yet. The chat system is smooth. I like all the different build styles. I like that people seem to be honest about problems and wanting to fix them.

I don't think I hate anything yet. Oh wait! I hate when people come up to me and take no time to get to know me before offering me a free place to live. It seems really desperate and turns me off on living wherever it is. You must woo a Fong gently.

  7. A few things about me:

I've been playing D&D since Red Box back in the 80's.

I have over five years of Minecraft RP experience on another server.

I've been playing here for three days, have had a couple of great adventures and am very much looking forward to getting to know you.

I thought someone might be interested in my experiences coming onto the server blind and learning the ropes over the last few days.

  8. Our Universe is filled with countless other dimensions. Many are quite similar to one another with only slight variations.

It is from one of this swirling, chaotic multitude that I have come to your world.

I will be known to you as “Dr. Fong”.

Do you suppose that this garrulous intruder may be a swindler perhaps? An assassin? A charlatan plotting some curious disaster for your world?

Such characters exist, but they are secretive rather than mysterious.

    I am a major mystery.

But please don’t assume I am dangerous because I am unfamiliar.

I ask that you believe in me. As a friend of yours.. of your world.. of all beings.

    In-Character Information

    Character’s name: "Professor" Boom

    Character’s sex: Male

    Character’s race: Goblin

    Character’s age: 18

Biography: From a very young age growing up in Durloc, the Goblin, who would later take the name “Professor Boom”, loved making things explode and burn. He was always fascinated with fire and with the colors and sounds of the fireworks he saw each year during Orcish festival times. Obsessed, he learned all he could about fireworks from the Goblins in his village and then began to experiment on his own. He enjoyed exploring the caves and searching for the various ores and chemicals. He ground them into the powders he would need for his creations.

As he grew, the villagers loved the colorful fireworks he could create with ease. Then one day, he sold a small batch of his special fireworks to a greedy traveling merchant. When the fat merchant returned a month later, he boasted about how much money he had made selling the fireworks in Sutica. Something clicked. This was his chance! He would take advantage of his natural talents and become a traveling fireworks salesman! It was his destiny!

Later that night, without at thought, he cut the merchant’s throat, stole his wagon and was off before dawn on his first real adventure. He had his chemicals, a change of Goblin-pants, and a pocketful of ill-gotten Minas. After a few nights on the road, he came up with his business name and proudly painted it on the side of the freshly repainted wagon. It read: Professor Boom’s Fireworks & Demolition.

He drove his stolen cart across the endless wastes of San'Thraka towards the city-state of Sutica where he knew he could get good prices for his fireworks. Little did he know that it was, in fact, an island. His small wooden cart wasn't going to get him there, but that was a story for another day.

Personality Traits: Greedy, Impulsive, Dangerous, Bloodthirsty, Relentless

Ambitions: He wants to be fed grapes by beautiful Human women on top of a big pile of Minas while fireworks go off in the background.

Strengths/Talents: Crafty, Experienced Pyro-technician, Good with a Razor

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Penny Wise Pound Foolish, Brash, Physically Weak

Appearance: Standing at 4’10 he is rather short for a Goblin. His fingers are stained with chemicals and stink like sulfur. His Goblin-pants are remarkably clean.
