What is roleplaying?: The acting out as a character would and not how you would.
What is metagaming?: Using knowledge that you have but your character doesn't.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Using emotes to do something you shouldn't be able to, for example skipping ahead in combat and straight up killing someone.
In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Yngvar is a scholar. He takes great pride in writing or carving down the deeds of his brethren and ancestors and delights in telling stories of them. (I was hoping to play a little more around the server, get a feel for the lore before I settled on a solid backstory)
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) HATES spiders and can be a bit of a hoarder, especially with alcohol.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) One of the great writers of the age, a Dwarf who pens tales that will be told for hundreds of years to come.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Writing, he's also a dab hand at general blacksmithing.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Fear of spiders, mostly.
Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Yngvar has pitch black hair and a long beard with a number of beads sewn oddly into it. He has blue runes that run down the side of his head that he's tattooed on himself.
