Skilled chefs chosen by Joretel as her culinary champions
So you're saying that a lesser Spirit is somehow communing with mortals that aren't even Shamans or know Old Blah, to even begin to make a communication with these people.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:The obscure spirit Joretel looked upon the Clerics of Tahariae, and longed for such loyal and devoted servants.
Spirits are very arrogant, and would certainly not be jealous of Clerics, and especially don't care whether or not your devoted. They will not go out of their way to make you devoted... They care for power but couldn't care less about groups of people who don't even consider their existence, let along the religion of the people actually devoted to Spirits (Orcs)
12 hours ago, Babehab said:She sought out skilled chefs and bakers, those she deemed worthy to carry out her will, and bestowed her teachings upon them.
How.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:are imbued with the tricksy magic of Veist, invoking strong emotional effects on those who eat them. While these effects are typically positive
So you're saying that the Spirit of Illusion, Tricks, and Thievery is going to imbue something with positive effects. Not only this, but it's basically trying to Spirit Smith food...
12 hours ago, Babehab said:The process of imbuing food is practically automatic. The Feastmaster must focus solely on the creation of their ambrosia, whilst attempting to invoke the emotions they wish to imbue within themselves.
You're suggesting that these people can wield the power of Spirits without the power of Old Blah or knowledge of Shamanism... Whilst also not providing a sacrifice to which the Spirits can grow with power. So far the only Spirit that can imbue things properly to make a connection to the mortal world is Gentharuz: through Spirit Smithing... and he's certainly not prevalent.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:Should the prospective chef drink the broth, they would lose consciousness, briefly communing with Joretel. From there, the spirit bestows her blessing upon them.
This is somewhat closer to making sense, however I don't see why Joretel would just straight up bless them as a lesser Spirit, without gaining anything return. Not only this, but these people are definitely lacking in Old Blah, hence making it almost impossible to commune with said Spirits.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:Those tricked by Veist into accepting a curse, Susteknights live in a delusion where corrupted beings and places appear to be made of various foods; They’ve been led to believe that this tragic illusion is reality, that they were blinded to it before.
This genuinely makes a lot of sense, as Veist would want to **** with them all.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:or the dark magics attached to them
Spirits would have nothing to do with Dark Magic, aside from Ixli
12 hours ago, Babehab said:but their mouths and gutty works are, at the very least, incredibly resistant.
How? Why? And how would Veist, who holds no power over the realm of 'resistance and strength' even be able to do such things. They are illusions, not reality.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:Once the corrupted substance reaches their stomach, it is spirited away and replaced by some heavy food worth actual sustenance.
Void magic? This makes no sense to me.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:The Susteknight’s teeth act similarly to gold towards spectral creatures,
Please explain how this works. Neither Veist or this Joretel could ever influence this. No ritual could ever result in this through the Spirits mentioned.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:The Susteknight conjures forth a large, opaque fog
'Conjures' suggests the act of void magic... This is clearly Shamanism, due to the influence of Spirits. So this is also wrong.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:The Susteknight appears to temporarily ‘conjure’ tendrils made of some sort of chocolate. They are able to control these illusory tendrils for however long they remain, but they cannot effect any real object or person physically.
Lets suggest that you could in fact do this:
1) It's pointless, why would you
2) Why would Veist even grant mortals this power... They've 'communicated' with Joretel, not Veist... This isn't possible
12 hours ago, Babehab said:The Susteknight conjures a slow-moving projectile in the shape of a cupcake or some sort of bread.
Doesn't work with Shamanism. You cannot conjure anything with the power of Spirits.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:The Susteknight can temporarily change aspects of their face and body. Receiving physical damage causes the illusion to fizzle out.
This is somewhat possible... But not in the way you describe it.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:the inducting knight must assist a Feastmaster in the sacred, ritualistic baking of a mythical cupcake
Please go into detail about the ritual... There must be at least some semblance of Shamanism to use the power of Spirits... Old blah, Chants, Sacrifice.
12 hours ago, Babehab said:-Susteknights are able to learn most other magics
The Spirits are arrogant pricks, and would not appreciate you meddling in power that does not stem from them, especially void magic: resulting in them probably twisting things around on you or removing the blessing.
On the other hand, the concept itself is quite interesting and I'm sure it could somehow be done... But not in the way described here. You'd probably not prefer the interference of Shamans here, but I can't just let this sit here without some clarification on how the Spirits can be used. Sorry if I seem rather aggressive or rude in the way I'm criticising this, but I felt I needed to get some things across.

~ The Deep Cold, 1634 ~
Twas an eerie evening in Sutica, when that fateful trio showed up in town... Two merchants and a mercenary they were: a relatively normal sight many would say, and yet they had a bizarre feeling to them, with both merchants speaking in strange tongue and accent, and the mercenary: although better at common, still sounded rather odd.
An argument ensued between the two factions: Trio against Suticans, an insult slung at the elves, a retort was sent back... This string of wit and language continued for many an hour, until their blood-lust could no longer be restrained. The Great and Powerful Falk Geldmeister struck out at a man known as Whitlock, a fist full of brass and gems flung into his right eye. Alas! Combat ensued: The seemingly powerless merchant, Sulayik, sprinted forward dagger in hand towards an armoured man known as Angelo, but as it was, the warrior was far too experienced and defended against the blow, with help from his gorget. From the back! A woman with her spear, although Sulayik deftly dodged: another attack, but Sulayik had already dived out the way. Angelo faced his once more... A scream of pain from Sulayik! Another man by the name of Maenir had stabbed him through the leg, an exclamation of joy flew from his lips, sharply ended as Maenir was flung towards Angelo by the wrist. From the sky, two crows shelled towards Sulayik, alas the assault was shortly ended from by screams in the ears of all combatants "STOP!!"
Silence drifted over the brawl, neither group moving, looking from side to side... Falk and Sulayik paired up, backing up near the gates, whilst the Mercernary: Garsen remained where he was.
3... 2... 1...
Within a few seconds, Falk and Sulayik twisted to face the gate, sprinting off into the distance: Angelo followed suit, deftly knocking Sulayik into the waters below the bridge, whilst Falk had easily made far too much distance! Garsen continued to fight off his opponents alone, whereas Sulayik began to swim towards the opposite shore, chased by Angelo who had now abandoned much of his armour.
Time passed... Sulayik and Garsen had been taken down, with Falk being abandoned in chase... A victory for the Suticans! Or... they thought.
In the horizon, the great and powerful Falk charged back down the bridge, deftly fighting back against the Suticans for his fallen brethren!
One by one, the Suticans fell, none could stand against his valiant assault! Soon, all his enemies laid dead at his feet, a great victory for Falk Geldmeister!

Brief bio/speech/campaign kick off:
"Ponce, is good place, yes! But what Ponce of lacking? Business! Business runs everything: taxes, war, bread, the land people own, yes? Even tavern is of business! Comrades! You have heard speech of representatives of various parties, who have told you about the workers’ struggle or their strange faith. And now the countries around us, are agitated for more war. They say that Oren must also prepare to continue in the war, hundreds of millions of shekels must be squeezed out of the people for new armaments, for armaments without end. And in Oren, too, a section of the Socialists echoes this false, criminal call. But here, in Ponce, we should not worry over pitiful stick-fighting! We are men of business and labour. I promise, along with my fellow Hulphonites, to turn Ponce into a gold mine! A glorious city of business and wealth, where no man, woman or child will go hungry! Where no matter who you are, you will have a house, land and all your heart's desires... Just by working hard. Work together, people of Ponce, yes!"
Printed in bold at the bottom of the page, is what you assume to be the slogan of the party:
PEACE,
LAND,
AND BREAD.

Gukdan would take his few last steps up a steep hill, surveying the crimson field of death taking up his visage. He would sigh at the amount of corpses strewn across the battlefield. "Enrohk grows stronger each day..." He'd shrug, seating himself onto the soft grass, before beginning to chant away to himself...

Yeah mate, definitely ready for some GM action imo. He's always been good at sorting out problems and doesn't take crap: I'm sure people will be happy with the way he deals with things, and he's never done the Orcs wrong... Except for Wolfkite. +1

I assure you that the we're not controlling who gets the magic, it's just it that Old Blah is what makes shamanism possible... and you need a Shaman to teach it.
