(We are mechanically unable to white-list you without doing so): Yes. Do you agree to follow the server rules on your new account?: Yes. Do you understand you cannot have both of these accounts interacting with one another? This will result in a ban if you are caught!: Yes. My other one is locked. Do you understand that if one account is banned, so will be the other(s)?: Yes. How long have you been on LotC?: A year. How many accounts do you currently have white-listed (including main)?: Just the one.
  2. Piérrot speaks to his friend: Lukas, at the bar of Johannesburg, no one is there. He says: "It's absolutely abhorrent, isn't it? To see all these rebels prancing around along the streets acting like the saviour of the world -- when they're really nothing more than demons seeking fear and suffering. I suppose that's man though -- to be so blind as to assume that any good will come from such rampant despair -- it's what we tell ourselves at night to keep our conscience clear; that from evil must come good. But it's nothing more than a childish lie."
  3. Piérrot, after getting word from his friend and fellow Tragedian: Lukas, sits in his small room in Johannesburg, writing in his personal journal -- it reads: "Ô, for how fair the cause, it seems these rebels have taken to their primal instincts to destroy. It saddens me. Not only because I have home here, but because I and so many others have sought a new life in this place. Yet what is the quintessence of dust that is a city if not the spirit of those who live there? It hosts so many fond memories, so much history. It is a shame that all those roots are going to be uprooted for a foolish attempt at symbolic superiority. How can these rebels expect our respect when they have shown us none?"
  4. Out-Of-Character Information What’s your Minecraft account name?: LePetitCordelier. How old are you?: Seventeen. What timezone are you in?: Eastern standard time. Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: "Hostile and Toxic behavior, directed any anyone or on any medium, will not be tolerated." I appreciate the frankness and the necessity of it. If there's ever an indication of a community I probably don't want to partake in, it's one where that is rampant. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): I don't believe so. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: From my friend, Gumeshoeismygod. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): Yes. I went on earlier to ask a few questions to help with my application. Definitions What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is a lot like acting. You take on a character, and you attempt to think and act like them as best as possible. Acting is a sort of roleplaying a way; however this certain variation is doing so online; which can yield a lot more room for creativity. What is metagaming?: Simply: It's using knowledge to your in character benefit which has been learned through out of character means. It could be like using a Dynamic map (one with the players listed) to figure out where someone is chasing you is and to always outrun them. You don't have that knowledge in game, so it is nul. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: In the previously discussed "room for creativity" this is one of the downfalls. This is esentially emoting your way out of a conflict with powers which are unrealistic for the world or simply your character. If you are caught in a struggle with a guard, doing actions like "karate chops through his torso and cuts him in half" aren't realistic to neither the world nor your character. In-Character Information Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Louÿs Fleurent de Mouentrêt Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Human Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 20 Biography: The Story of Louÿs Fleurent de Mouentrêt Louÿs was born to a small land owning family in the current Archduchy of Lorraine, in le Clos de Mouentrêt, a local orchard and cidrerie. Louÿs has fond memories of his early childhood; often noted by rolling green hills, and long strolls through the orchards. Up until the age of six, the family assets had been run by his grand parents: Fraunçouès and Rousalie; however upon their death, his parents took control. The two had never been a solid couple, as though their marriage had been tender in their younger years, it grew cold and distant -- leaving the family fractured. This caused the orchard and business to become rather sluggish and inefficient. This environment was incredibly stressful and tense and was certainly no place for a child. During the next couple years, they inched along, hardly making it; however at the age of eight, they finally sold the land and their assets to an unknown merchant with big aspirations. -- The family, now poor and still as fractured as ever, understood that this was no environment to raise a child. They hadn't the finances nor the willpower to raise young Louÿs how he should be raised; and with that they finally made the decision to use the rest of the money left in their coffers, to give to a long time family friend and priest, Jacquot Bailleul of the Canonist church, to take Louÿs in under his wing and to raise him. He accepted of course and brought Louÿs in as his own. He certainly raised him well enough. He taught him all he knew of academia and religion, along with etiquette to the best of his ability. Before hand, Louÿs had only received meagre education in agriculture and so this was of a complete benefit to him. And though he certainly never forgot the rolling hills of his youth he grew accustomed to the stuffy church which he hardly left. This isolation did too have an affect on him and his development, as Jacquot despite being as kind hearted as he was, often never let Louÿs far out of his sight. -- When Louÿs aged twenty, his long time mentor and father figure passed away. This wasn't too much of a surprise, as obviously the priest had been getting to become rather elderly; however the faltering of his health hadn't ever been explained to Louÿs so nevertheless, it came as a surprise. The priest as generous as he was, never had much in terms of material things and so his will was left rather sparse. Though the other church members pitied him, Louÿs was left without a friend and a home. Understanding of the cards he was dealt, Louÿs knew he had to get out of the church environment -- perhaps to a big city like Metz of Chambéry. He wanted new beginnings and a future to believe in. So with that, he packed up his few precious belongings and hit the road looking for any hope and opportunity to cling to. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) He's fairly socially inept; however understands gallantry and manners. He can be fairly awkward at times, but never barbaric or uncivilised. His social ineptitude does lend itself well to getting him caught in messy situations, due to naïveté or through pure manipulation. He's also quite timid and reserved, often chasing to analyse the situation rather than go headstrong into it. His well-studied gives him an ample thirst for knowledge, with that said there is nothing more pleasing to him than the simplicity of nature and living off the land. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) He wants to be at peace, for most. At the moment, if he could return to his old orchard, or something like it, he would be ecstatic. With that said, he understands that the world is busting out the seems with adventure, though he is afraid to take the risk of jumping in, he does recognise the allure. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He's fairly knowledgeable: well-studied on the likes of geography and religion. But with that said, his favourite subject remains agriculture and the natural world. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He needs to work on his ability to understand other people better. He often can't sense their meanings or motives, which has lead to numerous misfortunes (such as mistaking a bandit for a weary traveller and giving him some of his scraped-by savings). Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) He is of a shorter stature, with deep amber eyes, and chestnut hair. His face is nothing to speak of, neither extremely ugly nor abhorrently beautiful. He's also paler than usual; due to his long periods spent indoors or within the inner cloister. There is a slight slouch to his back as well.
