  8. A letter arrives via courier, and as he offers it to you, he seems worried. But he isn't important. It's the letter. A letter that smells of home. "Dear fellow Doomforged, We have been trying to regroup our kind in these times of trouble, as the smell of war beckons, are numbers have vanished. Our clan hall sits empty, like the ruins beneath Urguan. I fear our clan is dying, yet, I have heard word that many still remain. I would hope to fill our halls with that of our own kin, so that Kal'Omith can sing the hymns of the Doomforged once more. I pray that you shall return safely, and rest in our halls once more. Sincerely, your Clan-father, Zharkaz Doomforged" You've read the letter, and now, tears fill your glowing eyes... Memories of the clan hall flood your mind, as you recollect your thoughts.
  9. Deep beneath a volcano in Urguan, there worked a estranged dwed wizard. He was wise they said, he was right they said, he was Khorvad they said. The dwarf wizard lead a cult, all believing he was a god, a deity. The cult would call themselves many things; Khorvad's Kazamar, Khorvad's Horde, The Cult of Khorvad. But they never called themselves "dwarves". They hated their own kind, believing they had power worthy to challenge the gods, they saw their kind would hold them down from becoming gods themselves, thus, left the original city of the dwarves to seek out a place to stay, and practice their arts. It was a volcano, where lava ran instead of water. And it was there where the dwarf wizard would practice his magics. And it was where his followers would be changed forever. He would give them black hair like coal, some like granite, and some like raw iron and others of stone. Some would be given tusks, and some were given horns. Even both to those worthy to have them. Some became fighters of the blade and axes, others became priests to worship the wizard they believed to be Khorvad. These priests would practice magic, and create runes with vile spells. For many cycles they worked in silence, but word has gone out that they have become noticeable. Some witnesses say they saw dwarves wandering in the hills, but brandishing tusks and horns, wearing blood red clothing and speaking a strange array of words. None like the known tongue of the dwarves. Some dwarved refer them as the "Dor'Dwedmar", or "chaos dwarves". Appearance: The race of the proposed group of dwarves will look like Warhammer's chaos dwarfs, with some having tusks or horns. Well-known heroes may have both grown. They also prefer the color of red and gold. Backstory: They backstory is unclear, especially of the strange wizard behind all this madness. Only thing that is known is he is pretending to play as the dead deity "Khorvad", and has twisted the minds of other dwarves with magic. All that is known is from above. Language: the language is different from the one spoken by the dwarves. They speak what some call "Ardol Rulaz" or "Blood Speech". It is a different dialect of the tongue of the dwed. Clans: Grimbeards: A noble family, and is one of the few original clans. Dreadfists: A warrior clan, who breed soldiers for the clan. Flamegut: A clan that housed the original wizards and rune smiths. Tarbeards: Infamous for catching slaves, they are a smaller clan, but also a noble one. Culture: The culture of the Dor'Dwedmar is similar to the "Mesopotamians". Their runes are different, and possess a strange power. Although their runes possess power, it is not as powerful as the original runes, as the runes used by the Dor'Dwedmar were created by the dwarf wizard. They use slaves, hate others, build unique halls. They are similar to dwarves, but also seem foreign to them. They too value honor, but not the same honor as the dwarves of Kal'Omith do. When one steals from other members, they are robbed of their life. They are cruel, and view many as scum. (Idea of what the runes look like) Politics: They see working with others pointless, but will do so if there is something to gain from cooperating, such as wealth and power. They also dislike the Ironborn, seeing that the Ironborn are fake, and unworthy. Religion: Their faith is to the god Khorvad, who they see as a mighty deity, and a strange group they call "Bulezan" or "Champions". They believe Urguan as a false god, as well as the other Brathmordakin, seeing them as liars and cowards. Other: When at war, they blow war horns, and war drums. They wear red alot. Their views are that they don't hate everything, but believe all are unworthy, that every other kind is not worthy of their time.

  18. Congrats, welcome to the guild, adventurer
  19. Adventuring is what makes life great. Unfortunately, not many folks do explore. So I, Agamm Ireheart, have decided to open up a guild fer exploring! -Agamm Ireheart What's the Adventurers' Guild? -The intent is to create a meaning of actually exploring the world that we don't see very much. Things lie around, even under our noses. But why should I do it? -It's a lore-friendly way to go explore the server's map. It'll begin with assignments and such, moving forward to see what's around. Will it benefit me? -Definitely from a lore perspective. Although I haven't come up with a reward system, I might try to have one go up. What will I get? -So far I can provide; provisions for journeys, a custom skin made by me (for the skin you have to send me a reference image), and maybe books and possibly maps. So what does the guild do? -Hopefully we can get individuals to venture to far off lands, and chart them. Of course, we also plan to have a mercenary branch or something. Where is the guild hall? Currently it's located in the hall that leads to the Deep Roads in Kal'Omith, off the East end. (right across the Engineers' hall and the mines) What have you seen Agamm? Here: http://imgur.com/a/0P1ph HOW DO I APPLY!? Application will be below this text. ADVENTURERS' GUILD APPLICATION FORM What is your character name? What is your MC username?-- What is your skype?(if you don't have one, no sweat. If worried about privacy, just pm me.) Of what race (RP)? (for exploration purpose) What is you proffession(s)? How familiar are you with the world(LOTC)? Would you like a custom skin? If so, send reference image and original skin: Any questions?
  20. Deep beneath Kal'Omith, lies the ruins of Dwarven settlements and strange locations. Ruins like these shouldn't be left alone, rather, they should be explored, and recorded. Thus, I, Agamm Ireheart, promise to do as much as possible to record and explore as much as possible. I've made several visits to the three "cities" of the Deep Roads beneath Kal'Omith, which I've given nicknames like Kal'Kraviil, Kal'Grobbikavir, and Kal'Hefruth. Although some have heard or even read about these areas because they've read my books about them, they often are never explored by anyone, but myself. And aye, I can see why folks avoid the ruins, as they are filled with traps, and the undead. So, for the sake of the fragile, I have "drawn" sketches of the areas. 21. ~You walk into an inn. You look at the note the stout stranger gave you. You nod as you reassure yourself that you're at the right inn, at the right time. You look around, then you see a broad, bearded child. No wait, that's the dwarf archaeologist, Agamm! You go to him, and pull up a seat across from him. He notices your presence, and hands you a note. He then leaves, and leaves you by yourself at the inn. You begin to read the note~ I have found strange things beneath Kal'Omith. The ruins seem to be quite old, as no one in the city knows the history of the ruins. Unless, they're hiding something, which would be interesting. Anyways, the fact that there are ruins has been bothering me ever since I accidentally stumbled across them when I first visited Kal'Omith. It has been my goal to uncover it's history and lore. Here's what I have so far (mind that the these ruins are not cities, rather, towns or small settlements): The ruins are scattered, with one being a horrible disaster, with many lives lost all at once. I call it Kal'Kraviil (City of Death). Kal'Kraviil is where Fimlin (a friend) and I found an ancient tome, and may hold clues to the many ruins lying around. The second, seems to be a failed goblin settlement, which I call "Kal'KavirGrobbi" or "City of the Dead Goblins". The settlement lingers with undead, and it seems to have been a fortress at one point. Third, "Kal'Hefruth" or "City of the forest". This city is filled with trees and mushrooms, bushes. Like a forest. But it leads to two things: the spider's hole, and the Lava pit. those two places are another story, which we may discuss about later on. I share this information with you, hoping to find clues about these locations. If you want to find me, you can try visiting Kal'Omith, and see if I'm there. Or send me a bird. We must know what happened to the old towns, and see if we can prevent whatever happened to them.
