  1. Order of the Enigma Master Anogon stepped into the hidden staircase, heading down to the room. The room was entirely stone, light by magelight. The floor, walls, and even the ceiling were immaculate. The man he had come to see demanded it be that way, or it would interfere with his test results. Searching the room, he saw the man sitting at his desk. Approaching him, the man turned to face Master Anogon. He stood, and bowed his head. “Master Anogon. To what do I owe this visit?” The man was Redguard, rather short at 4’ 4”, and pudgy, with his gut wobbling with every movement. He was balding, most of his hair having fallen out years ago. The man was old enough to be able to have grandchildren, but had neither grandchildren, or even children. “Dr. Athous. How have the tests come along?” Dr. Athous grinned, and gathered several sheets of paper from his desk, turning to hand the small pile to Master Anogon. “The tests have come along swimmingly. Subject RW 029 has proven to be especially interesting. Within a few years, the subject should be able to be released back into the wild, and we can see how it influences the environment. With any luck, we’ll see natural adaptation a few generations afterwards.” Master Anogon nodded, flipping through the report. “Right. Continue running the tests. If there are any dramatic changes, contact me immediately.” Dr. Athous nodded, and returned to his desk. Master Anogon takes the report, and returns to his office, to give it a proper look. 3 AP to continue Dr. Athous’ research. 2 AP to train the military.
  2. Order of the Enigma Alecia watched as the other students walked through the library. They had all joined the Order together, but Alecia had been separated early on, because of her lessons with Master Anogon. Sighing, she returned to her studies. Taking a book from the shelf, she set it atop the other six. She cast a telekineses spell on it, and walked it to the front of the library. The Librarian, an Orsimer named Ulmuburz gro-Shub. Ulmuburz looks up from the book he is reading, and levels a calm stare at Alecia. Glancing at the stack of books she is levitating, he takes the first from the top, and levels her with a stare. “One of Shalidor’s books? Most Masters barely understand these. You’re, what, an adept at best? What makes you think this book is in your realm of understanding?” Alecia pulls a scroll from her side pouch and hands it to him. “Master Anogon said to give you this, if you tried to prevent me from taking the book.” Ulmuburz sets the book down, and takes the scroll suspiciously. He mutters under his breath as he opens and reads the scroll. “Master Anogon vouching for an adept… not likely… Let’s see… Adept Alecia Silvanana is hereby given permission to pull any book from the library if she so see’s it fit to further her studies. This includes, but is not limited to, Shalidor’s writings, Falmer, Dwemer, or Chimer translations, and any of Hermaeus Mora’s artifacts?” Ulmuburz sets the scroll down, and glares at Alecia. “No. No way that is legitimate.” Alecia sighs. “It is my understanding that Master Anogon enchants all of his personal documents with his own magical signature. Is that not correct? Check the seal, please.” Ulmuburz checks the seal, positive it will be incorrectly enchanted. Instead, he is stumped to find the exact traces of magic he should be. He once again looks at Alecia, this time in awe. “Who are you to have the right to claim these books?” Alecia takes back Shalidor’s books, and nods. “Master Anogon’s apprentice, and a prodigy. Good day, Ulmuburz.” With that, Alecia walks away, the books levitating behind her, Ulmuburz staring at her in awe. 3 AP is dedicated towards preventing people from going missing this year. 2 AP is dedicated towards increasing the military.
  3. Order of the Enigma Captain Sureric watched from a dark corner of the room. He had been allowed to observe the magical aptitude tests today, only because his daughter was one of the candidates, and only after several hours of begging Master Anogon. Captain Sureric had watched several of the previous candidates already, and knew his daughter would be up soon. Master Anogon checked the list, and called Alecia Silvanana to demonstrate her magical aptitude. Alecia stood from the audience, and quietly moved to the examination area. Master Anogon spoke, the two judges beside him letting him take the lead. “Miss Silvanana, according to your records, you are already a capable mage in the schools of Restoration and Alteration. What school will you be demonstrating your aptitude with today?” Alecia cleared her throat, and spoke as steadily as she could. “Today, I will be demonstrating my aptitude with Conjuration, sir.” Master Anogon nodded. Captain Sureric watched nervously from the sidelines, Conjuration was dangerous, if mishandled. So was any other school, he supposed, but magic was, by nature, dangerous, as he understood it. Master Anogon called for her to summon something called a familiar. Captain Sureric had no idea what a familiar was, but it sounded dangerous. He watched with concern as Alecia summoned the magic, and cast the spell at the ground in front of her. Sitting there, was a ghostly Bone-Hawk. Master Anogon marked something down on a piece of parchment before him, before moving on to a series of other trials. Conjuring weapons and armor, skeletons and minor daedra. Finally Master Anogon raised his hand. “Very well. You have proved more than capable with the school of Conjuration. Congratulation, Alecia Silvanana. I grant you the title of Adept. Captain Sureric let out a whoop of joy, then clamped his hands over his mouth, as Master Anogon glared daggers at him. Still staring at Captain Sureric, he continued to speak with Alecia. “Miss Silvanana, I was especially impressed at your summoning of a bone-hawk as your familiar. Few people can summon birds as familiars, and fewer still Bone-Hawks. I expect exceptional results from you in the future.” Captain Sureric quietly made his way from the room, Master Anogon glaring at him, till he was gone, and let out a sigh of relief. Magic was dangerous, but it made his daughter happy, and so long as she was safe, that was good enough for him. 2 AP would be spent on building more farms. 2 AP would be spent on collecting Red Wort.
  4. Order of the Enigma Anogon watched, as Alecia attempted to Telekinesis a small bag of gold into his hand. Her concentration was nearly perfect, and the bag was almost to his hand, when she lost control of the spell, and the bag fell to the ground, spilling the small amount of gold. Anogon watched the gold coins scatter, before turning his eyes to Alecia. “And what did you do wrong that attempt?” Alecia is exhausted from the several hours worth of training. “I… I forced the magic too hard. I wasn’t in proper control of the spell.” Anogon nodded. After half a year of learning with him, Alecia was no longer stuttering, and her magical skill was rapidly improving. Her magical understanding was exceptional, and under his tutelage, her magical capabilities would likely surpass his own one day. “Correct. You won’t make the same mistake again, I presume?” Alecia shook her head vigorously. “Of course not, Master Anogon.” Anogon nodded, and glanced at his enchanted sundial. “The Festival will begin in a few, short hours. Go, prepare yourself. As my personal student, you will be further up the line this year. Do not embarrass either of us.” Alecia nodded. “Understood, Master. I will meet you at the Festival.” Anogon nodded his dismissal, and turned his back, as the girl left the room to prepare. ---- A few hours later. Anogon stood at the front of the line, Alecia a few dozen people back. Anogon enters the tent, and whispers the only words he will speak all day. The line behind him is nervous, for the Festival cannot truly start until he has spoken his few words. As he exits the tent, a few people breathe quiet sighs. Anogon steps away from the tent, and the next person enters… More people will go missing after this festival. 2 AP is spent on teaching the novices and apprentices further. 2 AP is spent on making sure no one goes missing after this festival.
  5. Order of the Enigma Master Anogon approached the group of new students in the library. It was late, and the usual mage-lights that kept the room well lit had been sealed for the night. The group was reading by candle-light, mumbling quietly to one another as they discovered something of interest. Master Anogon stopped before each student, and peeked at the books they were reading, before moving on to the next student and doing the same. He finally reached the last student, sitting a little further from the rest, and checked her book. He dropped his invisibility, and startled the group of students, causing more than a couple to shriek in fright. Grabbing both the book, and the girl’s wrist, he dragged both away. “What is your name, girl?” The young girl, an Imperial, stuttered, not meeting his eye. “A-Alecia, s-sir. Alecia S-Silavana.” “Why are you reading such an advanced book? This isn’t meant for novices. I know of adepts who barely understand the concepts in this book.” Alecia fidgets, her robes too large for her slight frame. “T-the concepts in that b-book aren’t t-terribly difficult s-sir. I-I thought i-it’d be okay…” Master Anogon stopped, and studied the girl, and then glanced at the book again. “Reality and Other Falsehoods, hm? You say this isn’t terribly difficult?” Alecia fidgets again, twiddling her thumbs, still not meeting Master Anogon’s eyes. “N-No sir. R-Reality is j-just a s-s-series of p-perceptions, t-that we u-use to explain t-the world around u-u-us… O-or is t-that wrong?” Master Anogon studies the girl for a moment longer. “No. That’s correct.” He hands her back the book. “If you find this simple, you might just be worth teaching personally. From tomorrow onwards, you will visit my personal chamber when I call for you, as soon as I call for you, without exceptions. While there, I will personally instruct you in the finer aspects of magic. Do you understand?” Alecia was silent for a moment, before nodding, still not meeting Master Anogon’s eyes. “Y-yes, Master A-Anogon…” Master Anogon nodded, and took several steps away, before Alecia spoke up. “May the Woodland Man grant you that which you seek.” Master Anogon turned to look at the girl once more, and nodded. “And you as well, Alecia.” 3 AP would be used to train the Apprentices and Novices, undergoing training from the Adepts, Experts, and Masters. 1 AP Would be used to search for the 50 missing people.
  6. Order of the Enigma The city was silent. It was the anniversary of the day the Order had come to Woodhearth, and freed it of the chaos caused by the many warring factions within it’s borders. The day was not celebrated conventionally. Oh, there was feasting, and drinking, but it was entirely silent. This day, the only words to be spoken, were to be spoken to the statue erected in the center of town. The statue had been erected to honor the Woodland Man, but no one could tell what it truly was. It seemed nothing more than an amorphous blob, carved from wood into no discernible shape. That didn’t stop anyone from obeying the tradition. Traditionally, Master Anogon was the first to speak to the statue. From there, the other members of the Order, then the military, the businesses open during the festival, and finally the actual attendees. The tradition started at midnight. Every person who whisper their darkest secret to the statue, whether it be a desire, or a confession. The rumor was, that those who whispered desires found their desires fulfilled, and those who confessed found any guilt abolished. Those who confessed nothing were punished. No one knew by what, or by who, but they always disappeared in the night, never to be seen again. In truth, the Order stole them away in the night. What happened beyond that is the true secret. 4 AP would be used to establish proper farms for Woodhearth.
