    Event Type: RP Combat, Hunt/Raid

     

    Your Timezone: Central (UTC- 6:00)

     

    Affected Groups: Independent Party, consisting of Suticans and friends.

     

    Event Location: Mountain Region near Haense almost, coords -329 220 -1346, previous event location used by Bathrugman or Clergymandan, I dont recall which precisely.

     

    Summation: A group, including myself and some others wishing to participate in this idea, approached and did a Wyvern Fight event that involved us killing a male wyvern, a bull. The idea here is that the female mate of the bull has returned finally to the nest and has found its mate dead, causing it to lash out. The group is already searching for wyverns in order to help someone with a task, and upon inspecting the old nest, are assaulted by the outraged female, and must defend and defeat it or die. Nothing especially complicated, just a hunting event.

     

    Concept Images/Screenshots: Will add later, laptop a mess, and there is already a area prepped with a dead wyvern there.

     

    What help do you require from the ET Actors or Builders?  From the Builders? Just the physical model I feel. Otherwise, just an ET Actor willing to play the part of the female.

Remembering of the trust Toren showed him when he was but a dedicant first stepping into the Order, he'd say a small prayer for Torens safety, clutching the elderwood staff he obtained, dark blue, sorrowful flowers sprouting from it as he does.

    Have you been previously banned (be it a forum or server ban) and under what circumstances did you receive this ban?: I received a 5 minute ban once for running around in leather armor and a fish head screaming incoherent nonsense irply.


    Have you ever received warning points and what actions were committed to receive such points?: No.


    Moderating the forums is a very time dependant staff position. How much time, on average, would you be able to dedicate to moderating?: Somewhere along the lines of 4-8 hours, depending on work schedules and what not. This doesnt include any work I can perform from a phone, etc.


    What experience do you have using the LotC forums or any forum in general?: I will be truthful, I mostly lurk and read posts. I don't often actually post, but I have previous experience on older server forums in the past, and work in a computer field, so I am familiar with the set up, layout, and the rules and regulations of the forums and the content allowed in the individual areas.


    What does it mean to be a Forum Moderator, in your own words? What responsibilities does the Forum Moderator have to carry out  in order to successfully do their job?: To oversee and moderate the content posted and shared on the forums, whether it be posts, comments, or status updates, to apply proper punishment where it is required, be it warnings, warning points, or bans themselves. To make sure Forum Roleplay posts stay that way, make sure excessive flaming and trolling does not occur, and to help uphold the overall community standard set by the makers of Lotc.


    Have you ever held a staff position here on LotC? Do you currently hold any other staff positions? If so, list them and highlight something about the team that you enjoyed/enjoy.: No.


    Why should you be a Forum Moderator? What can you bring forward to the team that allows you to moderate and enforce the conduct of the forums?: I was recommended to apply to staff in general by a few players but put it off my mind until another friend, whom is a FM, commented offhandedly that I would be a good FM. So I went through a list of my interactions with my guild, players, etc, and  the pattern pops up. I believe I would be a good forum moderator for the fact that I am honest, and even minded. Among the players that listen to me, I still doll out even punishments, and withhold the rules I set in the groups and servers ive assisted with without bias, or too a minimum. I can bring forward activity, work wise, for im usually on a pc for work or pleasure, giving me ample time to keep an eye and work on the forums. I also tend to get along with others pretty well, so working with a team wouldn't be hard to acclimate to. I also know how to conduct myself in a calm and collected manner in the face of what I will politely describe as "An explosion of petty, toxic arguments that leads to one questioning life". I state this based on past experience.
     

    What characteristics do you posses that makes you stand out from any other applicant?: I will not say for sure compared to others, but as previously stated, I am a very friendly guy. I have no issues keeping up regular contact and in fact enjoy speaking to others. I have a sheer want to help however I can. The entire reason I joined, was due to the old server I came from dying, I wished to give several of the players I looked over a place to rp again and enjoy themselves. The Guild I made is even tailored to trying to help people who are lost on trying to find rp, find it and be happy. I am aware not everyone can be made to be happy here, but I feel its only right to help a server where so many of its long time residents and players have given me and my kids so much. I wish to pay my dues, and give you good work and great results as an FM

If so, what is it that could hinder your ability to work together. Remember, this is a team and working together is the main foundation of a team.: No, and I am in fact friends with two of them.     Biography:   Once, an old couple of a small farm in the Kingdom of Courland came across a small newborn child in 1559. Taking it upon themselves to raise the child, the loved him like their own and he was happy with his life, learning how to care for the farm and its animals and crops, but it wasnt long before he realized something about himself. He did not grow like his parents. Hareven was a forest dwarf abandoned in the Courland wilds, and his adoptive parents did not mind, but he was far into his 30's before he truly realized what this meant, and painfully watched as his parents passed from old age, not knowing how to deal with the knowledge that he could not age or pass like the other humans he lived around. When the few people around his family lands learned he was in fact not a human, the became nervous, remembering the Kingdom of Urguan and Orens old wars. Selling the meager lands his family left to him, he set out to learn more of the lineage that he was unaware of.

     

    Traveling far and wide, Hareven meant many people and many other races, traveling with many elfs and humans, until he found his way to others of his kind. He expected to find sympathy and answers for his skewed sense of morality after the passing of his parents, only to be disregarded as an oddity and a "beardling" finding no solace among the others that were supposed to be his kin. After spending many years traveling and hoping, he was broken to find out no others shared his views. Angry at the attitudes he was given by his fellow dwarves, he left and traveled to Sutica, and worked as a farm hand for many years, applying his knowledge of farming his family gave him with his now known hardiness as a dwarf, but keeping himself trimmed like his father taught him, causing him to appear as a short, worn human despite his heritage. He received some scorn from other dwarfs in Sutica for this mannerism, but they were far and few those as rude as those from Urguan, and most helped him cultivate his skills, including cooking on the go  and how to forage the wilds for food.  After many years, he caught wind of people looking to settle lands on elsewhere in the world, looking for hardy labor, and set off, to find a new home with people who would understand him as his parents did when they decided to raise a dwarf of all things as a human.

    Personality Traits: As a human raised dwarf, he doesnt have the accent most forest dwarfs do, causing him to stand out. He likes herding and cooking, but dislikes fighting and having to swim. He feels short but only cause he was raised by humans.

    Ambitions: Hareven wishes to set up in a place he can grow his own food and raise his own animals to cook for a group he can call his family once more.

    Strengths/Talents: Very good at working long swathes of time without rest, and creating good dishes from basic foods.

    Weaknesses/Inabilities: His heritage by being human raised has left him very insecure, and his sense of morality is different from other dwarfs, making him reluctant to raise a blade against other people.

    Appearance: He stands at 4'8, dark haired and with dark, ashy skin that is leathery to touch. He has a beard but keeps it neatly trimmed, contrasting other dwarves. His eyes shines a unusual purple sheen but otherwise they are regular eyes, just unusually colored. His hands are scarred from years of farm labor, and he has a single long scar across his back from being slashed after insulting an elder in Urguan after being called a beardling.
