  1. Hareven remains curled up in a cave elsewhere, claw marks of his own marring his face as he laid against the wall, running his hair back and rocking himself, his face stained with tears and his body heaving slightly

"I was weak. I was a coward. I was slow. I was too late. I should have walked away. I should have stopped. I need penance. I wish ye happiness Toren, I have stained m'self with the sin of your passing. I will bear t'is until the very end. T'ank you for the friendship you have given me, for I am a dirty traitor t' your friendship you showed me. I will never fail like t'is again.."

He'd glance to a mark on his palm, a oath having been sworn. Before curling up in the cave and waiting..

Character's Original Race (N/A if not applicable): Adunian

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:
Zar'ei are demons of the Inferni. They are the most humanoid of the demons, in part of being descendants before becoming corrupted in a manner. They are much harder to tame then other Inferni due to their higher intelligence than beasts or imps. The prior two being the second and first tier of lesser inferni in order as mentioned, the Zar'ei making the third tier of lesser inferni below Zar'kiel. The Zar'ei have control over malflame due to their intelligence, despite the mutations and corruptions that occurred to their bodies. Their mutations can come in a myriad of possibilities ranging from wings (not allowing actual flight to the player), multiple limbs, tails, etc. Though regardless of mutations they must remain humanoid in form. Any Zar'ei in the realm of Axios are bound to a Naztherak and his/her court. Their souls are considered tainted which means that holy magics such as wards, healing, or flames will cause great pain to the Zar'ei.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?:

    Blight Healing

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

Blight Healing in simplest words is a part of druidism that specializes in healing plants that are either dead, dying, or blighted. When it comes to Blight Healing, a druid could bring say a wooden staff back to life, making it an awoken staff which a druid can then manipulate. There also comes the time when a druid must heal blighted land, so they use Blight Healing to cure the land of its sickness and blight, restoring it back to a healthy state as it should be.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student:

Hareven stands before a tree, watching the student carefully: "Alright, 'ere we are, t' begin you lesson lass/lad, for you t' begin the steps to learnin' the mists our people use t' assist life abound"

Hareven would motion at a small patch of blight on the ground, a isolated case he's located for the lesson

Student would shift around nervously, looking at the patch: "What is this, Brother, the life on this land is..dying."

Hareven claps his hands: "Aye, lets begin then. Connect and listen t' it, listen for what has happened to the nature within' the patch."

The student proceeds to do so, casting their focus along the blighted patch. A frown develops on their face as they do, turning to Hareven with a look of upmost concern, eyes wide

Student would be appropriately disturbed, looking at him still with a look of shock: "The life is wilting away, like its being smothered."

Hareven nods his head solemnly: "Aye, t'at is the damage such brings, but you'll learn t' undo this now. Focus hard, focus an' remember how this sort of life sounds when alive, an' maintain that focus onto t'e blight."

The student nods, lifting a hand and focusing the memories of the healthy hum on the patch of blight. As they stand and focus, a light mist begin to form their palm, a emerald green cloud wafting from their hands from the great concentration, turning their head uneasily to Hareven, sweat forming as they looked uneasy as to what to do with next.

Hareven would lean against a tree side, pressing his fingertips together as he watched on giving an approving nod. The student would return to their actions, focusing greatly, the songs and hymns of nature elsewhere being pressed from their mind as the mist spills over the blight. Slowly, as sweat and exhaustion gripped the students body, the ground begins to twist to life, blight seeping away like a unwanted plague that it is, the ground returning to its rightful state of health, as the student falls to the ground gasping for air.

Hareven steps forward, hoisting the student up gently by the arm, patting their back with a pleased grin on his face: "You'll keep practicin' like t'is until you don' fall down from jus' a simple spot, but good job mate. Rest, our duties never end."

    Timezone(s) you mainly play:

Central and EST are usually what I schedule by.

What group/nation do you consider to be your main?

Druids, but I bounce between interacting with many groups.

Have you held a staff position before?

    I have.

Do you currently hold a staff position?

I am currently a Forum Moderator.

Do you plan on applying for other staff positions?

I would enjoy trying to LT or MT one day but no time soon will I attempt either.

Have you ever been banned before? If so, how long ago and what reason?

    No.

What style of events do you feel you enjoy creating? (Low Fantasy, High Fantasy, Quests, Dungeons, etc.)

I would like to try and not narrow myself down into one genre and style of event to allow a greater number of possibilities in terms of Events that can not only be held but also my usefulness to the other members of the team when multiple ET are needed and called upon for the job. I am interested in trying to form random encounter style events, but that is but a dream that I'd need to flesh out with the team itself.

List three factors you feel play a part in a quality event and expand upon them.

Management Skills: When an event is started and gets rolling, the way the players react and the number of them can vary wildly. You must be able to keep up with them, their actions compared to your own and the situation you have presented to them for them to work past. If you can't keep up with a multitude of incidents at a single time, the event can end up sub-par or bad because emotes or reactions get lost in the fuss and you end up with unsatisfied players.

Imagination: Stale bread tastes bad compared to freshly baked scones. You don't want to repeat the same sort of event too many times. By varying the type of events over and over, which is why I don't wish to nail myself down to a single genre of event, you promote a fluid direction and a consistent flow of new ideas to fuel ones imagination, ensuring the player bases you are interacting with never go "Oh its so and so, it'll be just this again". It can help keep them on their toes and each event becomes a fresh, neat memory for them.

Positive Communication: You do an event. It ends. You should be making an effort to communicate with the player-base involved to make sure that it was okay to them in a positive manner and remain a good attitude no matter what the reaction was, and use it to better yourself in the coming events. This is to make sure that the community that you are based upon and looking to give a fun time do actually enjoy what you are putting out. If you don't hold a good attitude while ensuring this, they may be turned off to you performing an event for them again in the future.

Which member(s) of the team would you attempt to emulate and why?

None in particular, but I have been exposed to a large swathe of events, good and bad, and I have the idea of what I want to be set into my mind. I believe many of the current actors are good reference points to start at but other than that I couldn't narrow you down a specific name.

Provide three event scenarios, in total, of the style(s) you listed above:

A Forests Fang: Upon entering a forest to bypass the roads and avoid the bandits who plague it, a group or person pass through a forest. Sitting within it lays a unusual white tree, with a small spring of water coming from the bark, allowing the travelers to quench their thirst. But upon disturbing the water source and the tree from which it comes, it begins to shift and stir, revealing itself to be a creature of some sort, and the water itself a byproduct of its body. The water appears to give them a boost in energy, and is in reality it's blood, leaking from its wound. Do they kill it and drain it of the liquid for their own purposes, or do they attempt to help and heal the creature?

Failed Artifact Panic: A small ruins has been discovered! But Voidal mages feel weaker near it, a source of concern, and other magics feel uneasy and alert. Within the depths of this small, puzzle ruins, lies what was to be an Artifact once upon a time, when a aged and abused Mage decided to attempt to make an artifact that had its own contained mana pool. But the laws of the world are not easy to manipulate, and it failed, unstably sucking in and releasing mana instead. Now having sat and aged, the Artifact is unstable, and its already beginning to intake what will be more than it should, and lest it break and take out whatever other secrets this ruins hold, it lay on the descendants whom find it to try and get to its resting place in the inner sanctum before it takes out a piece of history, and whoever it catches with it.

A Rusted Gauntlet: You come across a strange, old armored figure. It claims you for a duel and should you win, all on it turns to dust but a single, rusted gauntlet. You could get it reforged but something about it feels...different. Should you put it on, it turns pristine, but a compelling sensation fills your body. You manifest a sword, but it is now stuck to your hand, and compelling you to find it's brother. As well, it seems every time you pull the blade, it pulls blood and life from you to do so, and now it is a race to find the other, to get it removed from your form, and to prevent someone else from being subjected to a similar fate, before you die and turn to dust just as who held it before you.

Why do you wish to become an ET Actor Member?

I wish to give the community more precious memories of their time here, and have the opportunity to perform great moments of rp that could possibly help a character that comes across in the events the chance to feel like their persona has impacted the world they are playing in. Even if they do not, there are plenty of small events I have been apart of over the months since I joined last year that still hold a fond place in my heart, and I'd like to give that back to the server.

What strengths would you bring to the team?

I am a flexible person when it comes to accommodating people in regards to if they need me to act a part for an event, and for players who are trying to plan and schedule their own events over the forum, as I have done in the past. I also am online frequently in assorted hours of the day and night, meaning I can give plenty of time to the team.

    What are your weaknesses?

I sometimes find myself unable to use voice chat which can hinder communications in some circumstances. This isn't to say that I do not use voice chat at all I do, but I have a very loud household right now. As well, I can at times fret over my emotes and take some time to type them and respond, which I feel is a common occurrence among the player base but could provide a point of concern in terms of being a ET.

How much time could you give to this position in the foreseeable future?

Currently I could provide 20+ or more hours to the team, considering I put in about 4-6 hours of time into it a day at least right now.

  6. I agree with most of these. I also agree with druidism being something that they'd likely not be able to hold onto, though I say in fairness to this change Briar be allowed to grandfather in cause otherwise we're torching a years old persona that is beloved by OP.

As far as FTB I dont get why this is an arguement or valid. More so, you won't stop them. Noone stopped kha and human ftb for instance, they simply go behind the backs of staff. By redlining no children at all the issue at hand is solved, that being "catgirls".

Hou-zi are only disallowed FTB right now due to being CA creatures, as opposed to a regular persona race.

    Character's Name:Hareven Winterleaf, Bluejay Druid

    Character's Age: 100

Character's Original Race (N/A if not applicable): Forest Dwarf

    Transformed form: Tree Lord

    Creator's MC Name: Murlocs

    Creator's RP Name: Renn

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Tree Lords are the Druidic form given shape by the Soul Tree they are connected to. Their souls remain in the tree and form a husk that emerges from the tree upon death and rebirth cycles. They've proven themselves to the aspects to be capable of having this form, able to devote an eternity of service to the Aspects, as long as their tree survives.

Similar to a plant, a Tree Lord is capable of rooting into the ground to regain nutrients and water. This process allows them to rapidly regenerate as they search the soils for what they need outside of their form. Therefore requiring a safe place to be. Hardening is the process where the Tree Lord can make a specific area more immune to attacks and the like.this costs them movement and energy from other parts of the body to do so. A Tree Lord can make one of their arms, one of their legs, their head, their back, or the front of their torso immune from weaponry and even basic fire and impacts more than what they usually take. They control the amount they're hardened by, the less they are the more they can move. The more they are the less they can move. This lasts for thirty minutes or seven to eight combat emotes.

The former body of the descendant is stored in the Soul Tree, inside a hardened sap. It can be willingly released, and inhabited by the Tree Lord. This serves as a means for reproduction known as Awakening. They still have all the pain carried with them, and all former injuries on their previous form, even relived. The process can be extremely painful, agonizing even. This process takes much more time then re-birthing, as the sap needs to soften. This process can only be done once every six OOC months.

The Tree Lord, while replicating the body of the descendant as much as possible, are still considered slower in the way they move. Not as agile, but are not slow, the tree lord's weight and the fact their bodies are made from the wood of their tree. Soul Trees are incredibly flammable, regular fire will cause pain and burns, voidal fire will generally inflict more damage, and dragon fire would be even worse to a Tree Lord. For the body to survive, the Tree Lord must Harden a part of the body exposed to the flames. Keeping in mind that they can only harden one part at a time.

While a Tree Lord is a completely organic being, this brings along the problem of being blighted. They can wither from ground taint, but the process is slowed due to the natural energies that come from the Tree Lord, and can be healed before it becomes fatal. Druidic gifts like Blight Healing and Herblore are the only means to heal a tree lord, outside of their rooting. Clericism, Ascended magic, monk magic, and any other healing spells will not work on them. Communion and Control do not affect the Tree Lord either.
