Have you held past Staff positions?: I have not.

Do you plan on applying for other Staff Teams?: Not at the current moment! Perhaps in a few months I will, but my current interest is solely the event team.

    Where do you find inspiration?:

Although it may seem odd, I find my main inspiration in music. One of my favourite artists to listen to is a person called “Jeff Music” on YouTube. Although the name may seem bland, the music he composes fits perfectly with the theme on LoTC. His music makes various ideas flourish in my head. Upon that, listening to video game soundtracks from games like Starbound or Ori and The Blind Forest also inspires me.

When it comes to literary inspiration, novels like the I am Number Four series are what I take inspiration from.

Reading quotes also gives me inspiration to create certain characters as well.

Which race/group do you believe your events might best cater to?:

I would like to try and host events that any group or race of players can participate in. One of my main goals, though, is to host some events for the growing Kharajyr player base and help the race gather more active players.

What do you believe the key factors of a successful event are?:

Hosting an original event is perhaps one of the most important parts of having a successful event. I cannot stress enough how boring it is personally to experience the same type of roleplay over and over.

The use of clear and concise emotes which contain enough detail for the players to expand on is also necessary. If the emotes are simple to understand, it limits the use of OOC chat and thus allows for a more immersive roleplay experience. The ability to communicate in descriptive emotes is as important as communicating through Out of Character chat is. Questions may be asked about the events, where someone is struck, the position of something, and so on. As a member of the Event Team, you have to be prepared to answer these types of questions for your event. If you can, limiting the amount asked by making everything clear in your emotes is preferable.

Some type of conflict or challenge is necessary too. An event will become extremely dull if everything goes perfect, and no struggles are had by the attending playerbase. It is healthy to inflict a sense of urgency and difficulty, within reason. This allows for a more captivating, immersive experience that seems to actually have consequences. Just as players may interact with the event, the event may interact with its players. If something happens to a player's persona, the event feels more meaningful than simply bum-rushing an entire horde of monsters and coming out unscathed.

What strengths do you bring to the team?:
I like to keep all things in order, and generally have a plan to go about things with. If something happens to throw that plan of course, I am willing to adapt, too. A good event will need someone that can adapt accordingly to the players’ emotes and create a fun, interactive event for all.

Upon that, I am a friendly person who blends well with many groups of players on the server. Even if I personally do not like someone, I will treat them as if they are a friend. It’s only fair, as if you treat someone poorly simply due to OOC spite, you could easily be ruining an experience for the rest of the players that accompany them.

Why do you wish to become an ET?:

Like many other people on this server, I wish to give back to the wonderful community that has provided so much for me. I enjoy hosting events and roleplaying with others, crafting stories with fellow players. Sometimes, I’ll see people groaning at how dead the server is in a particular place, and how there is no roleplay happening at the current time. By being an Event Team member, I can create a more interactive, and fun experience for everyone on the server.

Please create three unique event scenarios based on server lore:

    Metztli’s Failed Children

After a temporary rip in the realm where Metztli stored her failed creations while creating the currently known Kharajyr race, some of the failed experiments escape into the lands of Axios. At first, a slightly mangled, feral ocelot may be seen around a certain location. If followed, or provoked, numerous other ocelot-esque creatures reveal themselves, this time with a sense of hostility. Metztli’s abominations seem to come in waves, each of them becoming increasingly more grotesque and hostile than the last. Perhaps you should rethink about petting that feral cat you see on the street?

    Soon.

The screams of a seemingly-insane man could be heard. All of his words are cryptic, “Soon.” “They will come.” “The trees, prepare.” Perhaps the only thing more confusing than the man’s mumbling are the items he carries on himself. Books -- containing messages which seem like riddles . A large payout is promised if the man’s insanity can be cured, but it seems that every day this man stays around, trouble follows. Crops will wilt, misfortune will come, and ‘they’ will attack.  Is the promised ‘payout’ worth all the trouble, or is it time to kick this beggar back into the streets?

    Siblings’s Revenge

Two corpses, ones which bear strikingly similar features (of those that can still be considered ‘features, that is). They seem to be a boy and a girl, no older than the age of seventeen; both of which carrying backpacks. Merchants, maybe? The corpses have been inhabited by Vodnik, and will stop at nothing to have a more suitable host. At first sight, it may seem like a person has drowned, and their body is floating on the surface. The humanoid creature would attack anything it can. This sibling pair seem to have no idea what ‘water under the bridge,’ means, and you’ll have to show them.

    MC Name: Stoneweaving

    Character's Name: Luanna

    Character's Age: 26

Character's Original Race (N/A if not applicable): Wood Elf

    Transformed form: Air Homunculi, Abberant

    Creator's MC Name: Kinslayer

    Creator's RP Name: Lysander

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:
Homunculi are creatures created by skilled, or sometimes unskilled alchemists. While the most skilled alchemists can create marvelous replications of the one they are trying to mimic, unskilled alchemists fall short and create horrific creatures which are riddled with deformities. No matter what tier they are, from the short-lived fiend, to the near-perfect abberant; they all yearn for one thing, and one thing only: To be the best form of themselves they can. Homunculi are egocentric creatures, caring only about themselves. It would be uncharacteristic of them to commit a good deed simply to be a good person, as they always expect something in return. They live in vain, showing no concern for anyone other than themselves. Only the lowest tier of homunculi, the fiend, can be tamed. Their intellect is so measly that they rely on only primitive forms of survival.

Homunculi are a result of life that is usually described as ‘imperfect,’ dictated by whatever element they are created from. No homunculi is perfect, though, for even a doppelganger will show weakness to it’s opposing element. For example, homunculi pertaining to fire tend to drown easier, and homunculi made out of air elements can combust if they come in contact with excessive heat. They are not only weak to the opposing elements, as they are frail to gold weapons and any type of Holy Magic. With this being said, though, homunculi also have their benefits. Water homunculi, as you would expect, can hold their breath for a longer amount of time, while earth homunculi tend to be more durable and resilient than their counterparts.

Homunculi have no memories of their past life, with the only thing carrying over being some skills and their body, which even then won’t be perfect. Unless they are graced with the privilege of being a doppelganger, their will have physical deformities. Although they are much more noticeable in the lower tier homunculi, with some even seeming inhumane, abberants still have a somewhat noticeable difference. Their skin will be a more unnatural colour, with certain patches of their skin being extremely pale. Abberant’s internal organs will not be functional, although they will still have blood. If someone were to check their pulse, they would feel nothing. Deviants and Fiends, on the other hand, will have functioning internal organs paired with blood in their veins. All three of these tiers, though, are unlike doppelgangers, which do not release blood when cut or wounded; but rather the liquid, or sometimes solid,  pertaining to the whatever they were formed from.

  5. Hi! I am part of a fairly new guild that would love to have you! We are really in need of enchanters, but would be fine with anything you'd like. If you would be interested in roleplaying as a relative to one of our guild members just let me know and I can try and help you out!

We tend to do a lot of events and would be glad to introduce you to the world. We are a friendly bunch and can answer most questions that you ask!

If you need anymore information, just PM me! :)

  6. Out-Of-Character Information:

Do you agree to follow the server rules on your new account?: Yes.

Do you understand you cannot have both of these accounts interacting with one another? This will result in a ban if you are caught!: Yes.

Do you understand that if one account is banned, so will be the other(s)?: Yes.

How long have you been on LotC?: Roughly a month, since July 5th.

How many accounts do you currently have white-listed (including main)?: Only one, my main account.

  7. Out-Of-Character Information

Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!

What’s your Minecraft account name?: Lumiin

What timezone are you in?: Central Time Zone

    How old are you?: 15

Are you aware the content and interactions on this server may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13? (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?:    Powergaming is disallowed in its entirety. This would make for very unfair and boring roleplaying for members on the server. Not only is it unintuitive, it tends to ruin the immersion of people roleplaying on the server.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): Nope.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?:  I was recommended it by my friend Rexphter.

    In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

    Character’s name: Raim Leufken

    Character’s sex: Male

    Character’s race: Wood Elf

    Character’s age: 57

Biography:  (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Born in 1561, Raims family lacked a seed or anything like it, but was just a wandering group of elves. He lacked a strong body constitution, but did his best to contribute to his family. While he lacked the body to hunt and trap food, he was good at bartering for his kin from a young age, and after many years they finally obtained a place to live, a small residence along the coast of the Dominion. Unfortunately, not a few years after a large storm broke onto the shore, flooding the area and leaving many people dead, including his friends and family. Traumatized by the events, he set out further inland, now fearing any and all bodies of water.

Wandering for many years, he clung to civility and kept ahead of those who would wish an elf like him ill intent with his cultivated negotiation skills, and slowly learned the ways of the bow that he had opted to not learn from his kin. But this was far from enough to sustain someone and keep them afloat, so he began collecting anything in the wild, herbs, plants, spices, and selling them. After a period of doing this but failing his attempted to cook some of them but failed to produce any food, but a salve instead. This caught the eye of several adventuring humans who mentioned it was remarkable that he accidentally almost made something viable in terms of healing. With renewed vigor and a chance to have another talent that he could support himself with, he set out to find a teacher and to learn alchemy and brewing techniques from someone somewhere in the world.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Is ambidextrous and very twitchy, tending to stammer on if left alone to speak. Paces alot, enjoys higher areas such as mountains and hills, and dislikes being in high tension situations.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Ideally, Raim hopes to flourish in the ways of alchemy, honing his skills to be one of the best alchemists in the land. He would also like to bring races together, hoping to make peace between them.

Strengths/Talents: Negotiating, Archery, and has a innate talent for alchemy he wishes to blossom.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Breaks down in high tension situations and is dreadfully afraid of water. Tires out fairly quickly when having to be physically active.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Raim is 5'6" with his hair being a mixture of mocha and coffee coloured hues. He has a faint scar along his left hip and his eyes are closest to a dark shade of hickory. He is more on the slim side, not having much body mass to call his own, he weighs 112 pounds.

Skin: (please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin; if you need help, see our screenshot guide here.)
