  1. If memory serves me right, the only thing that’s ever made RP happen on a somewhat regular basis that could be beneficial to new players at CT is the emergent interactions that take place there as a result of the temple being located in a crossroads of sorts between two or more settlements. This is perhaps the best and only way to have CT be an RP hub of a sort: for passing, casual interactions and/or small-talk. To give new arrivals a few directions or pointers IC and OOC before moving on.

  2. You’re going to want to do some research into what was around in the past. I mentioned it a moment ago in someone’s status update, but things like steam engines, cannons and even a prototype arquebus (made by a dwarf whose name I don’t recall anymore) existed in LotC’s 14th century (Aegis). Since then there has been a constant back and forth depending on who’s been at the top and what their vision for the canon and technology locks was. I think the top priority should be consistency with pre-established canon – this is, what has been allowed and role-played in the past and therefore cemented into the history of lord of the craft’s universe – with your future vision for the setting(s) of the server being second in the design process you will undertake.

It could become similar to frost witches, in how they have their separate coverns that are enclosed and generally unfriendly (from what I've read) to other coverns. Considering this pack has an alpha, a challenge could also be conducted by one of the lower werewolves to take over, and the alpha then outcast?

    Curious theories.

+1 make me a wolf daddy

Yes! That sounds more like it!

  4. I'm a little disappointed that one would be forced to remain part of a larger pack after being turned. It would be interesting to expand the lore so it's possible to become an outcast but have some kind of added affliction/downside as a result, to function in such a way that one is then forced to be solitary and isolated from the pact in order to survive or to keep this added curse from consuming them from within. I would gladly do a contribution in this regard, but it's not my submission and I'm not familiarized with how these go, so... I guess that's that.

  5. Out-Of-Character Information

Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!

    In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

    Character’s name: Adelaide Dughlas-Blemadho

    Character’s sex: Female.

    Character’s race: Half-Elf

    Character’s age: 25

Biography  (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Adelaide was born daughter of a valiant elven swordswoman and a renowned adunian warrior one fateful day at the dawn of Sun’s Smile, 1606, in one settlement of the people her parents had grown to become accepted by through fruit of their deed and work: The Gorundyr. She was born small and prone to illness, as was to be expected from her mother’s bloodline. In spite of this, under the care of her father, she was taught to wield a blade not blunt, and draw a bow with arrow from an early age, with the mentorship of her mother in the ways of her kin and her father’s.

So, she spent the prime of her childhood learning from adunian, gorundyr and elven culture, though this last would come to suffer of neglect and eventually find itself lacking, for her mother’s health only deteriorated with each passing year since her birth. By her coming of age, Ankou had long-since granted her mother safe passage to Halvengr. As a result, her father grew reclusive and prone to brooding, leaving Adelaide’s mentoring in the hands of folk such as Morvan, friend of his father, and a young adunian by the name of Jocelyn – a brother figure to her, and squire to her father. It was thus that she came to explore the spiritual realm adopted by her father long before her birth: the pantheon of the Gorundyr; and to develop refined skill in armed combat, leaning in favor of the way of the ranger over that of the swordsman or shield-maiden, due to her subpar physical prowess next to others her age.
It must have been when she ceased to be a youngling, when wanderlust struck her like an alluring breeze, inciting her out of the woods familiar to her and beyond the snowy mountains concealing a horizon strange to her, that her father summoned her forth upon his return from an expedition out to lands unknown, accompanied by warriors other than himself. It must have been such a day, when her father bestowed upon her the blade of her ancestors, wrapped in silken fabric of one noble-worthy cloak, when she learned the story of her grandfather. Indeed, it was on such day that her father would lay down the path for her to follow and describe the tracks she was to seek in order to find the man of many a legend, for her father was to depart to lands untold without a word as to whether far beyond the strange horizon he was to remain, or if his visage would be hers to see again.

It was dawn when he and his companions departed, headed north, whilst she and one loyal brother figure headed west to begin their journey in search for the man whose way she was now destined to follow. It was then, when the quest that would lead them across the isles of Axios began: their search for the man that had become known as the Black Douglas.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)

Adelaide has a habit of tidiness, to put it subtly. To put it bluntly, though, she is fascinated by order and cleanliness in everything that directly affects her: her clothes, her weapons and tools, her gear, and her home. That said, it does not delve into obsessive compulsion, no matter the similarities.

That said, another trait of hers is how she is one to favor peace above violence whenever possible, and attempts so through her inherited proficiency with words – so long as her reclusive nature doesn’t take point. In relation to this, it must be pointed out: she dislikes those who actively seek to incite or get involved in violent activities for the sake of it all. The standards to which her mother taught her to adhere to are strong in her still, and dictate her way of living through and through.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?)

Adelaide aspires to learn from her kin the way to become as worthy a warrior as her mother once was. It is, perhaps, an ambition that will no doubt come to pass in the wake of far greater goals. Until that day comes, however, she remains young and the world around her is much bigger than the one inside her head. It won’t be long before she embarks on other quests of her own.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)

Adelaide is an avid task-solver. It was of her father’s insistence to train her mind above her body, for reasons kept to himself and no other. This means that, although trained combat enough to serve as a proper ranger to her people, she does excel more in the field of mental tasks: planning, strategy-related tasks, and finding solutions under situations of stress.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)

Aside from her lacking physical prowess in acts of strength, her most noteworthy disadvantage before her peers is her reclusive nature. Whereas her friend and traveling partner, Jocelyn, appears to face no obstacles when interacting with strangers, Adelaide experiences an urge to withdraw that accompanies a rush of stress that overcomes her in situations and surroundings strange or unfamiliar. This is in large part spawned from the way she was raised, surrounded by none a stranger, in lands distanced from major settlements. Whether she will overcome it or not with the passing of the seasons is yet to be determined.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?)

Adelaide stands arguably tall for her peers, at 5’9 feet of height. She is of a toned-down physique, leaning towards fitness rather than slenderness. She has a pair of vibrant sapphire eyes, shoulder-long pale blue hair and pointy half-length elven ears that peek through its strands at opposite sides of her head. Her facial features are sharp and delicate, as inherited from her mother, while the look in her eyes is strong like her father’s. Her skin is of a ghostly pale tone, with the exception of her cheeks and the joints of her hands, which share a rosy tone.

She wears a long-sleeved cotton shirt with a dark brown corset. Her trousers are meant for riding, grey in colour, and thus have some dark grey leather patches that merge into their intended hand-made design. She wears a pair of dark leather strap boots, slightly worn from use, with a short heel to their soles. She also wears a pair of leather gloves at most times, and leather bracers for archery.

Skin: (please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin; if you need help, see our screenshot guide here.)
