Sakura awaited the many upcoming events. She’d gaze over the many schematics for future constructs, “Many things to do for Llyria.”

I don't see “yeah lemme just waltz around with my magical umbrella and go play imaginary packman in my favourite café” as a good story. Most of the people in llyria are some of the most uninspired and uncreative people. There is no “tale”, there is no “story”. Its a house of fools trynna collect titles and magical abilities for their anime characters. Just keep getting spoon fed those epic events bro :DDD.
ps. “magic” don't make ur character strong. The strongest character is the weakest of all that manages to do great things, without all that cool sparkles.
Yikes man. If you think that is what Llyria is, you really are blind bro. I think you just feel butthurt about something, and I’m sorry for whatever that is.

If you honestly do not want a good story, then LoTC isn’t for you. I’ll recite what LoTC’s main objective is for you.
”Together, we write a story. We write it in such a way that no single person owns a chapter, or even a full page. Gradually, as we discover more of this tale it reveals the exceptional appeal of our server: Thousands of people contributing verses to a grand narrative—simply by playing their own character.”0 -

Oh hey! I see that single nasty Moderator! He’s a big meanie because he won’t abuse his pex for me! I just wanted to uwu rp in my CT Safe haven! I’m so mad, so I whine and cry, but I still don’t get my way!
On a serious note, just because many staff members are part of a nation doesn’t mean they are all joining together in some great conspiracy to make their home a non-raid rp haven. The one thing that many of the people in Llyria do have in common, however, is that we all just want a good story rather than have to deal with the following which comes more often than not in the constant onslaught of back to back raids: Bad emote quality, ignored emotes, single emote kill attempts, metagaming, powergaming, rule lawyering, oocly driven ic actions, and so forth. I think so far, there have only been one or two raids that I actually enjoyed. An example of one I enjoyed would be the raid yesterday that @Nectorist lead against Llyria. Now that was a fun fight. When they initially arrived, they stormed in, yet allowed for some rp to take placed. It was kept all IC, for some of the people involved were let go before the fighting started in character because those characters knew each other icly. It was kind of like brothers meeting brothers on the battlefield. They’d fight in the battle on opposing sides, but ignored each other. I was laughing my ass off as well as the rest of those involved in the voice chat of Llyria when pvp ensued because it was fun and enjoyable. Best reason for a pvp fight i’ve seen in quite a while. When more raids come to Llyria, I hope they end up being like Nectorist’s raid, which implemented some form of narrative into pvp.
So when you say we just cry and dislike any form of combat, banditry, or raiding, you would be very wrong.2 -

You’re at war with 3 or more nations including several other smaller groups. You will get raided constantly, that’s apart of wars. Deal with raids on a raid by raid basis rather than ban all of them.
While we are open to people coming in and doing raids, we want some sort of progression out of it. Running in and trying to one emote kill citizens really isn’t a good show of good faith in the narrative.
The bottom line, and main reason Llyria received such a cool down, in my understanding of it, is because Llyria kept getting raided back to back for 7-8 hours at a time for days on end. A majority of the people in Llyria were constantly in either CRP or PVP, trying to fend of raiders. I would compare it to a Warclaim that never ends, with unlimited respawns. It was hell. It got so bad that people started to snap and act out in ways they wouldn’t normally act oocly, and a few have left the server because of it.1 -

Ilkazar also chips in with some helpful information “Literally the Saint Day just pasted I watched the demoness Zhukar on top of your tavern roof, burning two other individuals with horrific black flame.”

The demon tilts it’s head, remembering that the entire scenario was a meme about someone leaving two npcs on a roof, only for those npc’s to be removed by a moderator a few moments later.

Artimec couldn’t help but scowl at that.
“Am I going blind in my age, or did the Llyrian Council just admit to giving dark arts and spookmen legal recourse to exist within their walls? When it comes to occultists, there can not be laws, or regulations. The only proper way to respond to the existence of Shades is to put a blade to their throat, or put an arrow to their heart. Anything less than that counts as collaboration with eldritch, blasphemous forces.”
A Demon wiggles its fingers while speaking in a bland tone, ”Ooooo, scary bad-bad dark magics. Ooooooooooooooooignoranceooooooooooooooo.”

Hm. While I respect the amount of work you’ve put into this, there isn’t much background information to explain things. What the abilities do is stated rather clearly; but why they are the way they are, and how they became this way are a little less clear.
If you can add more filling to this and explain how it came into existence rather than just “Fi and festering hatred”, then I could support it.0 -

Zhukar Ilzaantar gazed over the piece, ”Good thing I’m not a red horned beast. And if people would try to chase such a being out of their land, surely they are ignorant and fear that which they do not understand. Basing such insults on what I am, rather than what I am capable of.. Surely this goes against the ideals of Llyria. Nonetheless, I shall let the Empyrion decide our fate.”

A Challenge to the Ignorant
In the Concord of Llyria
In accordance with recent events, I, Zhukar Ilzaantar, hereby do challenge Cassian Cardinal Omeryn for the position of Chancellor. His ignorance has shown in his rash decisions, and prefers to make others do the things he will not. This is weakness. He will see to it that the Concord itself falls apart, whether intentional or not. This man and priest has failed to support Llyria and its denizens in a manner that promotes growth and advancement, for which Llyria is built upon. He sits back and orders them to do what he is unable to, and shows pure fear towards that which he does not understand. His voice fills to the brim with desperation when he does not get his way. It is quite ironic that I, an infernal entity, would be the one needing to point out his instability.
I have challenged him, and this is why. The Concord is a place for research, development, and growth. Cassian as shunted the very thing it stands for by openly insulting and demeaning an entire civilization of people simply because a single one of its people lashed out. Does this mean that because I, personally, have seen a human from the nations of “GOD” kill an innocent child, I should shun their entire civilization? Clearly, his decision making skills are extremely lacking. He acts without thought, which I can clearly and directly tell you, is exactly what this Concord doesn’t need. In a court room, in agreement with other councils members, was to hear their thoughts on a case and then the council was suppose to decide, as a whole, the verdict. He blatantly threw this aside, and made the verdict himself without addressing the rest of the council. He is greedy when given power, and lacks the intelligence to use it wisely.
Cassian is a person who fears that which he does not understand. He thinks not of how his actions will effect the world around him. In a very delicate situation, he would rather lash out in a show of pure force rather than think it through with tactic and precision. He doesn’t know any better, and how could he? He is less than a half century old. While, in the Concord, we allow anyone to take up a position if they have the capacity to do so, he has failed to show that he has the capacity for it. He is too young and inexperienced.
It is expected of a priest to follow his faith to the very center of his being, however, Cassian has allowed this to get in the way of his decision making skills. He ties his personal beliefs too far into his actions and disregards the pursuit of facts. If someone does not follow his “GOD”, he immediately sees them as lost or lesser. If he does not understand a magic, technique, or power, he automatically assumes it is demonic in nature, and that of Iblees. He couldn’t be further from the truth. This is the very definition of ignorance.I, Zhukar Ilzaantar, will not fall to these petty bouts of ignorance. Every decision I make always has a meaning and a planned outcome. I am coordinated, tactful, and experienced. For over a century and a half, I have directed many organizations, groups, and even entire armies. It has come to my attention that our growth and advancement as a society has slowed lately. I will remedy this with a new form of transportation and organization. I observe first, and then based upon my observations, will then make a decision that promotes the growth of Llyrian society.
Yes, I am what many would call a demon, but you need not fear me in my position as Chancellor. I have been bound in contract by Crumena himself. Breaking this contract in any way or form that harms the Llyrian Concord would surely bring my death. I have been charged to expand the growth of Llyria, and why wouldn’t I? Llyrian society has proven to be the only place in a hundred in fifty years where outsiders can exist and grow without the assured threat of destruction. In less than a decade, our nation has grown more than any other nation on Arcas. This is because our form of government is a meritocracy. This means if you have the will, the strength, the intelligence, and the capability for a position, you may challenge a person for it.
Henceforth in conclusion, I do dare call for the position of Chancellor unto myself.
Signed,6 -
An actual demon responds, "Powerful warriors are the chi monks. Better to have them your allies than enemies. I condemn Cassian’s actions, and do not support them.”

[Completed]On matters of Loregames
in Completed Debate
Posted
Sorry, i’ve played that game on LoTC before. I despise the political drama that comes with game of thrones rp. Would be a merchant, but then i’d just get killed for pixels. That, and, oh wait. Maybe I’ll take a day to rant about all the magics and the ways they can be abused. Then they’ll all get shelved! I’ll do you one even better than that. Let’s get rid of all magic entirely from a high fantasy based server. Then we can all go to somewhere better. ;)
I don’t expect the lore games to be done for another year or so. I don’t see a reason in staying anymore. There are other alternatives we can put our time into.
