  1. “I will look after the girl, as you asked of me.” Fyodor promised the deceased Helton in silence as the news of his death came to him. And so it was that as another relative passed into that great inevitable beyond, he continued to remain.

“Fear not good nephew of mine.” Fyodor continued, closing his eyes for a moment. I will remember you.”

  2. These are some cool clarifications and additions, but with Striga having been removed for unclarified lore issues only to have some of their features as proddy and tentoa said, taken and further implemented into Siliti I find a bit questionable. No hate to Siliti here; as someone who really appreciates vampirism I can acknowledge the potential that this can add to rp. But with that said if a rewrite for Striga is ever intended to be made, soaking up their features into other pieces of lore is going to make it that much harder for a new write to be made.

  3. Count Fyodor Carrion pulled his blade from the torso of a fallen dwarven enemy upon the deck of their steamship as a deafening silence befell the scene of the battle then concluded. He glanced upwards to find the host of that ship dead and defeated, bellowing a victorious cheer alongside his eldest son and countrymen as he lifted that blade up into the air.

  4. A certain Elverhilin in some far off place regards the memories of his cousin fondly, their time in the sons, and their time spent bantering at one another for simple entertainment. A somber look finally overcame his expression as he let out a heavy sigh and lifted a palm to his forehead. How long had it been since he'd felt loss? Since he'd felt anything? "We will remember him," the elf thought to himself before rising from his spot under a great looming oak to continue onwards...

The memories of Zolvan would indeed, never fade.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Alchemy

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Alchemy (sometimes referred to as natural philosophy), is the enactment of the material plane, and at its surface level, is the study of the symbols and signs that make up the material plane and the material alphabet. By extracting signs and symbols from reagents, and then adding them to a base, alchemists can create concoctions and potions of sorts which all achieve varying outcomes. This of course requires a plentiful amount of knowledge and exercise of one’s own mind to fulfill, for there are three subsections/processes of alchemy.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

The three ordinary processes of alchemy are: Identification, Extraction, and Mixing.

Identification: The alchemist must take hours to examine a reagent and its contents in order to find out the material alphabet symbols and signs that it is made up of.

Extraction: Once they know which signs and symbols the reagent contains, they must then go through the lengthy process of extracting said signs and symbols (most often only the symbols are extracted, rarely do recipes require them to be prefixed with signs). The basic version of this is the extraction in which one grinds and shreds a reagent, then saturates it with aqua vitae, before boiling it off and filtering it in order to get the pure, unprefixed symbols which come in the form of powder. There are 5 other processes corresponding with the 5 signs (fire, air, water, earth, aether). For aether, the same process as mundane is followed except with the use of aurum tools. For fire, one must dry/dehydrate the reagent completely, before grinding the material, and burning it to ash. For earth, one must cut and crush the reagent, before adding it into a mortar and pestle with a half-ratio of salt. The salt must be separated with a sieve so that the alchemist can access the symbols. For water, the reagent must be soaked with distilled water (if the reagent is already liquid, it would be mixed with distilled water), then crushed and shredded until it is no longer solid, and then evaporated over a dish. For air, the reagent must be dried/dehydrated, before then being crushed/shredded into a thick powder. The powder must be compressed, decompressed, and then blown through bellows.

Mixing: The extracted symbols can then be added to a base in a very specific order (the order as written in the recipe), then stirred around. Rarely do alchemical recipes require no base.

Other, further forms of alchemy exist as well. The ability to make false life, to enact the penance of moz'strimoza through alchemy, and to create working machines are merely a few examples of such.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

[!] (insert name) found his hands clasped around the potion, swiftly taking it from his belt and raising his arm into the air as if ready to heave it in an overhand throw.

[!] (insert name) threw the potion at the wooden target, and as the bottle smashed, a green flame erupted in its place, spreading all over the target and eating it as time progressed. This fire started off as only a 1x1x1 area, though would surely spread to any flammable substances should time allow.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

[!] The alchemist began to shred up a single measure of bliss foil, before grinding it up in his mortar and pestle. “The bliss foil must be shredded, then ground, then boiled, and then filtered…” murmured the man as he continued, now placing it into a small pot above the crackling fire until it began to boil.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I would reprimand it by talking to my student and telling them what they did, and how they can improve it with some degree of sternness. If they continued to do it, I would drop them and tell the ST.

Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it:

             no

Do you agree to keep the ST updated on the status of your magic app?:

             yes

Have you applied to teach this magic on this character before, and had it denied? If so, link the app.

             no
