Yes. On my TA it says that I am maxed out on student slots however one of my students recently shelved his character. That student being Punpal aka Alfius. Since that slot is freed, it is being filled by Demi here ?

I like this

I voted no on this for the same reason that others above did. It should be left purely for the players to roleplay. This process of making apps and having strict requirements seems more like a chore than something I’d want to do for entertainment. Having all of these rules takes away from the plethora of different scenarios that can play out and instead narrows it down to something more along the lines of ehat seems to me like a crappy quest. “Do this. Make this. Get this many people. Do this....” rinse and repeat yata yata yata, you get the point. 

What I’m trying to get at (but probably failing miserably at) is that when things like this are put into place, they take away from the unpredictability and overall quality of the roleplay that is possible without things like this. Coups should already be a thing but without all the guidelines and rules.

Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

Blood magic is a power bestowed upon those able to lay their hands upon one of the nine blood shards. Upon touching this ancient artifact, one will become “awakened” meaning that they now have the inherent ability to use blood magic. Blood magic is primarily used for a variety of different rituals or powering other magics possessed by the user. A few examples of rituals may include opening portals to different dimensions or creating new artifacts or creatures (the ritual of creation). The fundamental basic source of power in blood magic comes from a substance known as genus which is a form of magical energy contained within the blood of every living being with a greater soul. This includes descendants (they must be mortal, undead don’t count) voidal horrors, and a few other things, however animals and baser forms of life are excluded from this. The blood mage must first learn to harness the genus within themselves before they can begin extracting it from others. A basic use for genus would be to augment spells as stated prior. This is done by pumping your genus into another casted spell which can immediately amplify its potency or strength to that of a higher tier. Blood mages may also manipulate the blood of other individuals although this is a difficult task that must be acted out with much precision and constant concentration. All around blood magic has a wide array of uses and it is mostly freeform in terms of capability with rituals and the like.

[!] Illiran stood alone in an empty chamber simply gazing at the blood shard that hovered within.

Soon after, his student entered, standing in the doorway.

“Get in here. Stop skulking in the dark.” Illiran commanded

At that, the student stepped forth into the light.

Illiran nodded and withdrew the dagger from his hip, offering it to the student “Like last time. You remember, don’t you?”

The student nodded, taking the blade and sliding it across their palm, letting the blood pool.

“Good.” Illiran said, offering his hand back out for the blade. Upon taking it, he wiped the blood on his sleeve and returned it to his sheathe “Now focus, just as before. Draw forth your genus. Focus on your blood. Harness it.”

The student did just that, eyes narrowing as they looked down into their hand and focused.

Illiran watched attentively, nodding.

After a minute or two, the blood began to swirl a little as a red mist seemed to rise to the top and hover above the student’s palm.

A smirk pulled at Illiran’s lips as he watched the presumed outcome “Good.”

The student smiled at their master’s praise as they then disconnected. The mist seemed to dissipate into the air as they looked up at Illiran.

Illiran nodded once more “You will continue this practice until it becomes second nature to you. We will meet again in a few elven days.”

The lesson was concluded
