Born in the year 1621, Eccaia was raised in the Elven capital of Linandria to two loving parents, however, all was not well as her mother had perished in childbirth. From a young age her father would train her in the art and skill of archery, more so for future defense rather than tradition, his greatest fear being the lose of his only child. On her tenth birthday, he gifted her with an elegantly carved bow, one which she used from that day forward. Eccaia spent a majority of her adolescent years aiding in hunts and small skirmishes with her father, much to his dismay. An adult Eccaia grew bored in her day to day life however, wanting to find more excitement and adventure beyond the Elven lands. Unfortunately, excitement and adventure came to her, but not in the way she expected. During the fall of Axios circa 1642, she and her father, along with many others, fled to the Cloud Temple, only to witness it be destroyed soon after. Eccaia and her father aided in the battle that followed, soon losing sight of each other in the chaos. When the dust settled and ships readied to sail, Eccaia's father was no where to be found, not amongst those who boarded nor the bodies that lay across the docks. She spent as much time as she could searching for at least a body, but to avail. She would have stayed behind if she had not been ushered unto a ship, too tired and weak to detest. It's unknown to her whether or not her father survived the battle, but as the survivors found themselves brushed upon the new lands of Atlas, she knew her father would only wish for one thing, her survival. Despite knowing that sticking with the larger groups would ensure that, she opted against it, trekking out on her own in the new lands. She favored forests of course, they were something that reminded her of home, of her father. She used the skills her father taught her in her youth to hunt, camp, and survive in the wilds. By the year 1658, She had made a good life for herself as a wandering elf, occasionally crossing paths and lending aid to lost travelers in the woods. And while she felt at peace, she always felt a bit off. She had adventure, but she lacked excitement. In all her meetings of travelers and adventurers, they often shared stories of chimeras, ents, and magic beyond belief. It wasn't all that implausible for her to believe, but it sparked some intrigue. She considered giving up her nomadic lifestyle, though didn't know where to start, that is until she aided a Wood-Elf in his hunt. He, like the others, told her stories of his life and adventures, however, his story differed as he mentioned his hometown, Caras Eldar, a place with more people like herself. She took it as a sign, the Wood-Elf, his hometown, she was ready to rejoin society, hopefully bringing the excitement /and/ adventure she wished for.
