HER GRACE, Lorena Julia Helane-Cascadia, the First Officer of the Exchequer, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, and Duchess of Augustin

  2. Lorena Christina’s fingers conclusively depart the last paragraph of the man’s rambling sentences, eyes fluttering upon her reading’s completion; She’d hastily draw a quill of ink and a singular papyrus parchment with which to denote a return letter...

    Dear Lansen das Ross,

Be not apprehensive of a most beauteous system of democracy, nor ever attempt to justify the degrading falsity that Oren would rear it’s head to any political suggestion delivered by the mouth of elves, when in truth this is due to the failings of your own employment of popularity among your fellow liverymen. It is of unfortunate circumstance that the electors have decided a city council supported entirely by those loyal to Harlingen’s cause, but the difference between the common citizens’ popular vote towards the liverymen, and one efficiently surmised of a greater intelligence of elected men and women is one that has proven itself to uphold sound rationality, never spoiled by exterior influences.

We shall not service your call to re-elections, but we indeed will be content to see your passion filtered away from this nonsense, and instead towards the improvement of the city’s governance, as is your given duty.

    - Sincerely, the officer of the Exchequer, Lorena Christina Helane

    HELENA CITY ELECTIONS OF 1736

The Helena City Corporation, issued 12th of the Amber Cold, 1735

Dissimilar to the monarchal construct of our exalted laws of imperial succession, the city elections of Helena have continually held themselves to be a system of elective democracy accountable for the ongoing patriotism and good-will most inhabitants to the secular crownlands align themselves to, be it ever correspondent to the atmosphere of war we the people of the Holy Orenian Empire now find ourselves in.

THUS, in the wake of a new city’s completion, all possible elected positions for liverymen of the city of Helena will be open for all who wish to bid their participation, each candidate competing to become the representation of their direct station inside the body of the Senate Hall. Additionally, the liverymen elections will also be the precedent of the future Lord Mayor of the City of Helena, who will now be open for candidates to pledge their campaign, but shall remain idle until each seat of the liverymen has been claimed, when they will cast their votes in unison towards a single victor of the Mayoral office.

    POSSIBLE ELECTIVE POSITIONS:

     LIVERYMAN OF THE PRUVIA WARD:

    • Represents all noble citizens of Helena, and thus must hold status as a registered noble of the crownlands wedded to, or an immediate relation of, a patriarch of Baronet status or higher, and reside permanently within Helena’s walls.

    LIVERYMAN OF THE PONCE WARD:

    • Represents all gentry of Helena, and thus must hold status as a registered Knight of the crownlands, and reside permanently within Helena’s walls.

    LIVERYMAN OF THE BELL WARD:

    • Represents all common citizens of Helena beside the Pitch Ward, and thus must be of common status, and reside permanently within Helena’s walls.

    LIVERYMAN OF THE PITCH WARD:

    • Represents all common citizens of Helena beside the Bell Ward, and thus must be of common status, and reside permanently within Helena’s walls.

    LIVERYMAN OF THE GILDED WARD:

    • Represents only the Wealthiest among Helena, being a position that is sold to the highest bidder.

All candidates may contact Her Grace, the First Officer of the Exchequer, if they seek any advice or answers towards possible inquiries.

HIS EXCELLENCY, Peter Faust de Vitus, the Secretary of the Interior,

Lord of Vitzburg, Admiral of the Fleet and First Sea Lord of the Holy

    Orenian Empire

HER GRACE, Lorena Christina Helane, the First Lady of the Exchequer,

Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, and Duchess of Augustin

    OOC:

ELECTIONS TO BE HELD SATURDAY, 5 PM EST

  5. There lived three billy goats who decided to climb a mountain to chew grass. But a wooden bridge had to be crossed to reach the mountain. Underneath it lived a one-eyed troll (giant), who ate up all those who tried to cross the bridge.

The smallest Billy Goat Gruff, (for that was their name), went first. As he stepped on the bridge, the troll shouted, “Who goes there across my bridge?”

“I am the smallest Billy Goat Gruff,” came the reply.

“I shall eat you up,” roared the troll.

“Please wait, for a bigger goat is on its way,” said the small Billy Goat Gruff. The greedy troll decided to let him go.

The second billy goat also told the troll the same thing and crossed the bridge. On seeing the third billy goat, the troll pounced on him. But the goat was big and he knocked the troll down with his huge horns and killed it.

    Stupid trolls.

  6. A torrent of Laurentina’s tears lacquered the endless trail of the Reznian sunset, cheeks glowing betwixt jeweled robes of glossed and intimate teardrops. Her mind stood unread and undiscovered- absent of emotion- for the light of the waning sun could only force her to encapsulate Anabel’s radiance in it’s ornate hue of gold, and the way she’d catch her in a mother’s embrace when none had shewn her the hands that GOD had made to love.

“Fly, and your wings will never touch the ground,” Her mother had said, and the daughter had remembered, “Sing, and your voice will never falter.”

And how she sang now, a song of undone intention, a staccato of perplexed ferosity:

“Why would you leave me, you said you would never leave me.” She cried, attention panning to the last ray of sunshine poured over the darkening horizon, the fading remnants of an era bred in the stitching of resilience, “I loved you!” She screamed.

    “I loved you!”

  7. Princess Sofiya of Haense scrutinizes the contents of the parchment with a discontented countenance, “This same woman once called the entirety of the haeseni people, her son’s people, barbarians.” Her fingers loosened to swiftly toss the missive among the countless others to be granted a field trip to the pyre of Reza, “I wonder if she was niet educated on the definition of the word, for she seems to completely disregard it’s plain example in the men of Lorraine.”

  8. The debilitated former duchess of Adria drawls illatian obscenities to the mass of foreign cultists surrounding her deceased figure, entertaining them with her imperious designation.

“L’inteligente! Paul’s Adria did not have a militia, as it’s failures showed when they simply attempted to swing a sword.” She’d laugh with great pomp, allowing the parchment free venture through the uninspired air of the crypts, “It pleases me to see the Order restored; Perhaps this iteration will prove itself to be less idiotic.”

  9. Sofiya’s cheeks abashed a sudden smile in lieu of her sister’s wedding, steadying her hand over her stitching as to not ruin the new dress she weived for the same occassion, “I hope you wear black, you impure piece of filth, Mariya!”

  10. “Sad to see a house associated with the old kings fade due to the petulance of unheeding men.” The voice of the haeseni princess resonated with infirm distress, relaying her words to her gracious lady in waiting, the youthful Isabel Stafyr, “You would do well to remember how easy a house will fall without ambition, dearest, lest you weep to the same note of tragedy.”

  11. Sofya Theodosiya arranges the letter atop a spineless embroidery of cloth, preparing to inscribe one in return to the station of the empress-mother, “Milena and the royal courtiers will certainly be there. A lady can not possibly miss the opportunity..” She’d whisp in her writing, making haste to prepare a royal escort.

  12. 21 minutes ago, Dyl said:

A young dragon would grab hold of the invitation, inspecting it. “I will be there...” he’s mutter.

Laurentina scowls as she recalls such a young dragon, though permitting herself calmness in order to attend the meeting.

  13. A sudden feeling of overwhelming solidarity consumed Laurentina Julia on this day.

Where before she’d condemn to fire all tears that violated her eyes, now the youthful girl no longer wept with moderation, for her juvenile mind had finally decided to take it’s place in the comfort of darkness.

” I will reap the pain of sorrow, for you have taught me to hold my chin up when the entire world looks down...

I love you, Adeline. I love you, Vivienne.”
