Elek would stand outside the palace with his hands folded and a prayer on his mouth “Good GOD in the sky, may those fools see their mistake one day...” He’d sign a cross then and walk away

Aleksy would stand in front of his house – he’d look around and up in the sky to see the snowflakes slowly falling down and notice that everything is covered with a thick layer of snow – a few seconds later he’d say

“Bies wasn't merciful this yearr... I hope that this winterr is going to be a shorrt one” Aleksy would then turn to his door and walk inside while praying quietly

After many battles, when the dust of war fell from his old, already greying face, Aleksander felt lonely.

Tired of the wars and daily life in Arcas, the leader of the Moroz Company decided to retire. Surrounded by his friends, and close family Aleksander got on a ship that sailed back to his beloved country. 

During his way back home Aleksander was thinking about all those good days he spent in Haense with his friends that he was never going to forget. 

Aleksander’s full name was Aleksander Józef Batory – son of Jan and Izabela of house Batory. He has never spoken about his childhood  He lived a good life in his village, as his father was a landlord. Aleksander learned how to write, read and speak in common, as well as in his native language. He was always surrounded by his close relatives – Mikhail, Roza, Bart, and Laura. He also met his future wife – Alicja that will give birth to his children in the future – but he never thought that their relationship will last long enough to get married. Aleksander was partly right because he left his home shortly after they met. 

Being only 19, young Aleks joined the Haeseni ranks as a recruit and got his basic training. A few years later his cousin Mikhail joined the army and helped young Aleksander in many situations. Being in the same army made Aleksander love Mikhail more like a brother than a cousin. During their duty, young Lechians met their youngest friend – Seth Hathor. Unfortunately, Seth died in a battle being only 22 years old. Aleksander in his 20’ bought a house in the city of Ves – his house was on the opposite side of the street to Mikhail’s one. Young boy didn’t know that in Ves he would meet one of his best friends for life - Alucard Lyall. Aleksander and Mikhail were inspired by Priorism and nationalist ideals. They created a militarist organization that was against all elves and nonhumans. They gave up that idea quickly when Aleksander decided to move back to the city of Reza. This decision changed his whole life – Aleksander spent most of his days doing the same thing - sitting in the tavern chatting with his old friend Sarah Greenhill. Then the War of Two Emperors broke out and Aleksander joined the fight. He had never forgiven the stab in the back from Curonians during this bloody war. When Aleks and Mikhail knew that the war was already lost they moved to Adria, which was soon burned down by the forces of Haense. While Mikhail was getting up the ranks in the Landsers, young Batory was focused on studying languages. He also made his way into Landsers ranks as he was invited by one of his best friends – Wilheim Barclay, the founder of mighty House Barclay. In the ranks of the Landsers, Aleksander met people who were like a second family to him, those people were: Tharik Cloudhome, Darien Reyne and Bogdan Canoslav. 

War changed Aleksander’s political ideals → from an Imperial Loyalist he became a strict pro-haense nationalist with a strong will to fight against the traitors from the civil war. Aleksander was in his 30’ when he was kidnapped by the orcs and taken to their city. Those savages have also signed him during the ritual with use of special tools, but when they were asleep Aleksander managed to escape and hide in Mikhail’s new house in the city of Thyra. This city was something different, something that Aleksander always dreamed of - a city surrounded by warm sands and many different cultures that he could study. When Mikhail left for a military mission, he took care of his household and shop. He fell in love with Mikhail’s fiancee April Murray, and when Mikhail came back he wasn’t really surprised, as he felt that it might happen one day if his cousin is not watched. Aleksander and April adopted a homeless little girl named Dorothy, as their kind of relationship was not allowed by the Canonist Church. As the years passed, Aleksander's love for April waned until it was fully extinguished. Sadly she took her own life, hanging herself in their house after the relationship came to an end.

Aleksander lived in the city of Reza, in his great house in front of the famous cathedral. In this period of time, Aleksander met another good friend – Philip Baden. After many years, his childhood love, Alicja came to the city looking for him. The two fell in love instantly and got married a few months after their reunion. Alicja gave birth to their firstborn son - Aleksander II, later known as Aleksy and took care of the boy. When the boy has grown up, the lechian couple sent him for his training to Lechia, where he met his relatieves. Alicja also gave birth to other children, siblings Lilianna and Borys. The boy was sent to Lechia for a training just like his older brother, while Lili stayed with her parents. She was mainly looked after by her father because her mother was often out of the city. In the meantime, Aleksander helped Wilheim and his wife to build Freising - the first seat of House Barclay. Aleksander and his family had shown its colonial ambitions to King Andrik and his government, but an expedition was never sent to the tropics. Through all those years the lechian man got some experience in the army and finally got to the rank of Armiger, before being elevated even higher and taking control of the Moroz Company.

The happiness of the family didn’t last long. Soon Aleksander’s mother died and he was forced to go back home for the funeral. When he came back, his family told him that while he was in Lechia, Mikhail’s health got worse. When he arrived at Thyra he found Mikhail in agony, it was hard for him to hold the tears at the sight of his dear cousin being pale and completely bald. He was with his beloved cousin until the end.

Mikhail passed away on the 11^th of Grand Harvest 1734  giving Aleksander full ownership over all his households.

Without his cousin, Aleks felt lonely. He lived in the city of  New Reza for the next 34 years and moved away from the military and politics. He was feeling like a relic that has to finally go. When he was sure that his time is coming, old veteran said goodbye to everyone who mattered in his life, his family and friends, and went on his journey back to his beloved country of Lechia, the country that he missed for so many years...

Aleksander stands next to the bed where Mikhail’s body was laid. He sighed and said to the crowd gathered in the room “Probably one of the greatest soldiers and definitely one of the biggest heroes in Lechian history passed away this night. We will always remember him no matter if it's across the sea in our home, or in Arcas. We should follow his example and do our best to make Mikhail Svarogovich stay in our memory forever." He then turned to the body and said with sorrowful gaze "We’ll meet again dear cousin, Lechia is not yet lost – as long as we live...” After speaking, Aleksander cleared his throat and did the Landser Salute
