  1. Vivaca Rutledge reads the poster under a tree somewhere in the world, shaking her head "I don't think nobility should have a seat at the table, the common citizen should always come first. Both parties are full of aristocratic elitists, I don’t know if I’m actually going to vote... I feel that the Evarardines want to take a backwards step, and I don’t like a lot of the people on the Josephite list and I think there’s room for improvement... I’m stuck. Should I vote or should I not vote?”

    A Pelican’s Resignation.

    1 7 6 2

Before the election, hired assailants tried to take my life during the 1762 Curonian debate.

I eventually won that election, with 64 % of Curonians supporting me in the Curon Senate election.

To whoever hired these assassins, I would like to tell you this.

    I’m a mother, I’m a wife, I’m a sister and I’m a human being.

This incident has put me and my family at risk, which is why today I am announcing my resignation from the Imperial Senate, a decision I have not taken lightly.

I will not immediately resign, but I will resign at the end of the fourteenth session.

I’ve always believed in democracy, liberalism, worker’s rights and Curonian values and I would like to thank the people of Curon for electing me seven times.

I thank my family for their unwavering support for me for twenty-three years, with special thanks to my good friends Gwynnestri Elwitt and Terrence May, my husband Duarte and my brother Wilheim.

I wish the best of luck to my successor, and remember…

When you Root for Rutledge, you Root for Curon.

    Thank you.

With love, Senior Senator for Curon Vivaca Adhara de Antunyes Rutledge.

  3. Civil Affairs Committee Meeting.

    Amber Cold, 1762

Chaired by Vivaca Adhara de Antunyes Rutledge.

    Members Present.

Senior Senator for Curon Vivaca Rutledge

Junior Senator for Curon Gwynnestri Elwitt

Junior Senator for Haense Sir Konrad Stafyr.

Vivaca Rutledge: Hello colleagues, today we will be reviewing the Heraldry Bill introduced by Senator Karoly of Kaedrin.

Sir Konrad’s opinion on the bill: This bill is absolutely riddled with flaws. I think it was hastily written and very poorly worded.

Honestly I’m not a fan. It didn’t go through our committee before reaching the floor.

Gwynnestri Elwitt’s opinion on the bill: I’m not really a fan either, it’s more of an unnecessary restriction.

If I wanted to say my family’s values are represented by a heraldic pigeon, then why couldn’t I?
Senator Vivaca Rutledge agrees with both opinions expressed by both of her Senatorial colleagues.

The Civil Affairs Committee’s vote on the Right to Heraldry Act, 1762.

    NAY:

    Elwitt

    Rutledge

    Stafyr

The committee votes against the bill.

    Reasons for rejection:

We did not think it was necessary to overly regulate the use of crests and heraldry in an age of modernism and progress.

We believe that the bill complicated matters by making the process of heraldic usage a bureaucratic nightmare.

The meeting is dismissed by Senator Vivaca Rutledge.

  4. Vivaca Rutledge gasps, shaking her head in disgust “I’ve supported EVERY Orenian in the war effort, especially our soldiers who were on the front line of this war and Calverley spews this nonsense! Calverley spent his time in Helena during the war that devastated our nation, whilst I remained home boosting the war-effort against the tyrants who sought to oppress us! Where was he during the Rubern War? Why did he not support our nation?”

    17 minutes ago, Ayoou said:

Miss Rutledge's inconsiderate words by dismissing the struggles of, and affronting those, that laboured behind the outward machinations of Orenia is an act of dishonour. The academicians too toiled, so did the farmers, and the servants and the blacksmiths; The triumph of Orenia was not only because of the soldiers and politicans. It was a collective travail by these hidden agents.

Vivaca Rutledge gasps, shaking her head in disgust at this section! “I’ve supported EVERY Orenian in the war effort, especially our soldiers who were on the front line of this war and Calverley spews this nonsense! Calverley spent his time in Helena during the war that devastated our nation, whilst I remained home boosting the war-effort against the tyrants who sought to oppress us! Where was he during the Rubern War? Why did he not support our nation?”

(( OOC: Ignore the bit at the top, that was an accident ))

  5. VOTE RUTLEDGE, ACTUALLY.

    1762.

    ?

    Hello Curonians.

I’ve recently read a piece made by my opponent, Mister George Cavarley.

This piece by George Cavarley is nothing but an insult to my family and my late father, a man who sacrificed himself for others and gave his all to help people in need.

George Cavarley did not stand by Curon during the dark days of the Rubern War, he was being educated in Helena while I stayed home, supporting my fellow Curonians and I kept the faith because I believe in Curon.

I stood up for Curon and I stood up to the A.I.S who sought to oppress the Curonian people!

This attack on me, my family and my father does not score Cavarley points.

My father was an able leader and his reign was only cut short due to plotting of his opponents.

I spoke to a bright young lady earlier who wants to help people and become a medic, she’s aspiring to do great things in life and I support her all the way.

It is important, now more than ever in peace time that young people have the confidence to work and we must support them.

My message is simple, Vote Rutledge.

    Root for Curonian people!

    Root for Curonian businesses!

    Root for Curonian liberty!

    Root for Curonian soldiers!

Remember, when you Root for Rutledge, you also Root for Curon.

    WITH LOVE...

SENIOR SENATOR FOR CURON, VIVACA ADHARA DE ANTUNYES-RUTLEDGE.

    ?

  6. Vivaca Rutledge raises a brow whilst reading the poster...

“Vote Rutledge, actually.” She said with her son cradled in her arms A vote for Rutledge is a vote for Curonian businesses, soldiers and  Curonian people.”

  7. ALWAYS ROOT FOR RUTLEDGE, 1762.

    VOTE RUTLEDGE 1762.

For twenty-two years, I have represented the Curonian people in the Imperial Senate.

A vote for Rutledge is a vote for the Curonian people, and a vote for Rutledge is a vote for businesses, low-taxes, liberty and for education.

After twenty years of war that has devastated our nation, we can finally revive Curon.

    RUTLEDGE POLICIES.

Support a wage for soldiers across the empire.

Help create a school in Curon after the reconstruction of our city.

I will work with citizens and priests to create an orphanage in our new city.

I will continue to support your business.

Oppose political radicalism in both Imperial and local politics.

I invite my opponent to a debate in the month of Owyn’s Flame, 1762. (Thursday)

    We can do this.

So this election, make sure to...

    ROOT FOR RUTLEDGE.
