an individual with the ign 'kitsnuepixie' is expected to be positive to the idea

tbf, I think a spirt over kha-like race would work a lot better, or if they were just animals rather than having the ability to become people and look like catgirls

  2. I very much agree with what the others are saying. I don't believe there should just be a race that exists to be "cute" and all just so another race can be more serious. The whole "companion" but still seems a bit.. off to me, I believe the best way it's been done was with Siliti lore but even then it has rules in place to not make it weird. It's more of having a Siliti's Thrall see the Siliti as a best friend, someone they can trust. The abilities should also follow how it general goes for other magics, having a name, description, mechanics, and redlines. Also the adulthood is weird, Im sorry but I dont like seeing characters that are 100 years old and are children. It used to be that elves weren't culturally adults until they were 50 and it has led to some people playing child-like characters at age 30 or 40

You never did end up rping the effects of the spell, hmmmm. Though, I also ended up not bothering to make you rp it just like a few others. As I said, it's not just in big events, though it can be. I've used it in small groups as well, that was the second time, I believe, I've cast that during a "big event", at least the first time it caused some entertaining rp. Also the same event, maybe 15min later, had someone try to assassinate one of the nobles, I'd say mine was tame compared to the like 50 people who jumped up and emoted *draws sword

Flemish is right. IMO Blood magic needs a proper tell so it's not used for trolling

Blood Magic does have proper tells you should to and they get less obvious the high your tier is. For example, at T1 you might have to stay completely still, not blink for the whole duration, only be able to talk minimally and stare at your target. At T5 it's less obvious as you no longer need to stare directly at your target and can do small actions like flipping through a book, but the blood mage still has to have signs of casting, like looking focused and being unable to blink. The magic is meant to be a bit more secretive and cult-like, other spells do have tells, like red mist flowing, but they do more than just aesthetics

Can't believe we finally have "DNA"... which makes it feel too modern.

I didn't care to comment before on it cause ooga booga blood mage go brrr when there's lore about fresh blood, but as Classy said, DNA doesn't technically exist as the whole thing deals with the soul

  6. First, thank you for incorporating Veil Watching into this, I do appreciate it. Also the idea of the magic is quite cool. I do like the concept, though there are some issues. Now, for the criticism,

-10 mages is too high for the ritual and requiring a Mature Tear will be quite difficult. Overall, the way to get this magic feel like it can be severely gatekept, even for it's generally aesthetic nature

-A PK clause is also rather intense for this as it provides no way to help yourself not die besides the star walking though that is still strange

-I feel Mental Effects might need a few redlines, especially in the case of Oment where you can just talk to someone, you can basically tell them anything no matter where you are, could be abused in some way

-Not sure about Moonspeach but Walking Echo could definitely use some redlines, it could be abused as well

-Spirit Meeting confuses me, doesn't explain what the horrors are or what they can do or anything, just says you can make a CA but that's it

-The last ability to become someone new is interesting, until you realize that you have a whole 16 weeks of potential death that people will likely never get to because if they die once, they PK

-[removed, I read the time wrong]

-Also going off of that, why is 18 the age in all of these? The minimum age for learning is 16, the ages should be changed to 16 as it makes no real sense why they would have to wait an extra 2 weeks to get their magic on top of the 16 weeks they will be forced to deal with anyways

  7. A Sorvian cloaked in crimson robes stood in the center of the square, looking around. Itulan spoke to themself, "It would appear the Palebeasts had infiltrated. No matter. They shall be easily destroyed by the Redshroud." They nodded before walking off into the city.

  8. "Just make it free.. also any good mage knows another mage that can get them access to just about anything listed. Anything listed or something even better" Sulieronn spoke, shaking his head. The 'ker looked out at the area in front of his shop. "Any mage can make a Casting Focus, and the Library doesn't even have anything worth reading, I bet."

Then I would suggest you look at Arcane Focus instead, 2 emote teleport 24 followed by a 3 emote 64 teleport and BAM, out of combat before anyone can catch you.

3 and 4 emotes if you're not connected or somehow get disconnected - also reminder that there are the specific amount of shifts for Translo mages so they cant just cast over and over, the "64 block teleport" takes up a total of 2 shifts. Also, just cause you can do it doesn't mean it's always possible, you still need to have line of sight to your anchor, which makes the longer teleports harder because you're not always in an open field with nothing blocking your sight
