  1. A CHANGE IN NAME Issued at Year 168 of the Second Age, 14th of Sun’s Smile Let it be known throughout the realms of Lurin and beyond, that a grand transformation is upon us, one that shall shape the annals of our history and mark a new era of prosperity, justice, and unity. As the sun sets on the dominion of House Anarion, we, the sovereign heirs of Lurin, do hereby declare the ascension of House Uialben to the throne. Casting away our fake adopted oppressive titles in exchange for what is synonymous with the bloodline of the Lurinite founders. With profound reverence for our storied past and unwavering determination for a brighter future, we embark on this journey of change and renewal. The Lurin regality wishes not to be synonymous with a bloodline tangentially ensnared in a family on the coattails to Liliyana Carrington and Karysmov Faroe, something that people seemed to bring as some type of dig onto not only the previous Trade Nation of Sutica, The Defunct Magi Nation of Llyria, but now our fair new independent state of the Lubba. With this change, not much will truly change. To put it simply, the surname of the ruling house of the Most Serene State of Lurin will be reverting back to what it once was before Lily Helenson-Anarion adopted our previous Silver Lubba. The Reigning Silver Lubba feels this change is necessary. To reclaim our true heritage, rebuild a once great house. To be something more than what we once were. Henceforth, the Silver Lubba and her immediate family will be Anarion’s no more. It served us well. However, it no longer suits who we have been freed to grow into. May House Uialben grow stronger than it once was in eons past. Long may we prosper and progress. The Silver Lubba, Lumia Uialben
  2. UIALBENS The children of Terr’hi Introduction Uialbens! what are they? They are elves, originating from dark elf clans before that had been diluted into what they are currently with their more unique way of living and carefree approach to most situations. A close knitted family ensued to do things their own way, unable to tie them down to an elven subrace properly. Looks Uialbens, seeming to be a rather odd appearing family of elves with their unique features which strayed away from the main elven subraces into this amalgam of an elven family. Without a doubt they are easily spotted among groups, nations and settlements across the realms. Appearance Uialbens often have a cascade of different looks, mainly because Uialbens are not trapped to any one race. Uialbens, being open minded elves, accepting of other cultures and the likes, have basically every single race intertwined into the family name. In the Uialben blood, anyone who isn't adopted will most likely have the Uialben hair color and eye color of dark red. Usually if a Uialben who lives with their kin doesn’t exhibit red/orange hair, they’ll usually dye it with flowers, however most times that coloring would wash away with any rain. Most Uialbens also tend to have the trademarked brown skin coloring, having come from the dark elf blood in them thinning down after many many years of courting with elves other than dark elves. Outfits Uialbens, having been free to choose from other types of culture, often opt to dress themselves in their preffered style. It is common for a Uialben to obsess themselves with what they wear or how they appear to the public, Male Uialbens were often spotted in fancy tailored suits, extravagant wear or as of late, uniforms which they themselves designed and got tailored. Female Uialbens have been seen to decorate themselves with jewelry, fancy dresses and often covered with fine makeup. History With the Uialbens having been around for quite some time, it is seen fit to have a bit of a recap of what has happened and what is going on these days. Considering the Uialben family has in some occasions been fairly notable, there will be more on that in its respective era’s. pre-unification history The Uialben history is very speculative, very few people whom enjoy the Uialben lifestyle even fully know it, and even less wish to hear it. The Uialbens started off with the blood of two dark elven clans long ago, starting as two lovers who found themselves unable to embrace each other due to the nature of the clans they lived in, a classic lovers lament. However, rather than accept their unforgiving lives, they ran off into the wilderness. They hid themselves under a different name, the name ‘Uialben’. Not much else is known about the two lovers, or about the clans they originated from, however they became the first family to birth the children that’d live on a… unique legacy. Along with the history being rather reclusive, Uialbens with an extensive understanding of the past seem to usually end up either dead, ripped apart, tortured, missing, forgotten, lost, eaten, and many other sadistic forms of brutalized. No one has been able to figure out why many family members of Uialbens, yet anyone who puts effort into trying to figure out the reasoning usually hears the name “Known Fenfir”, a few days before they become the next victim... Kaz’Ulrah and the Uialben Estate SPOILER https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/174992-kazulrah-treaty-of-uialben-vassalage/ Upon arrival of a plot of land near Kaz’ulrah right near one of many roads to Sutica, Terr’hi Uialben and fellow members of the family had settled down and started to build the Uialben Estate. The estate quickly became populated by the initial Uialbens and often seen as a prosperous settlement with only the family itself being the inhabitants, counting around 300 members (using raid numbers) and over 400 foxes. Once established they had started to form their own culture, architecture and even religion, though that religion was mostly used to justify actions and scam people out of their minas. At their estate they held events suchs as masquerades, though the most infamous example would be the time where a child was spotted in a bear costume, put in by Mystery and faced their adult opponent who seemingly had no qualms with ending the child’s life for the sake of entertainment. https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/175904-mystery-uialben-harms-no-more/ Slowly, the Uialbens started to drift into Sutica and enact their culture at the time and actions which resulted in Mystery Uialben, the patriarch of Uialbens at the time being captured by the Sutican guards and put on trial. A trial where Mystery had been ‘Nuggetted’ as the Uialbens loved to call it considering this trial did not only take his dominant arm, it took all his limbs and had them replaced with a magical counterpart under control of Crumena, Crumena later on becoming the leader of the Llyrian Concord. Uialben, being rather unsettled by this, started to talk with their Kaz’ulrah overlords and the prospect of war on Sutica was put on the table. The dwarves from Kaz’ulrah had started to raid Sutica on their own volition, though this did not last all too long after spotting Renatian forces in their lands and having to call off the assault and focus solely on pushing Renatus back from the mountains. Atlas Sutica and the Uialben Estate SPOILER https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/175498-masquerade-at-the-uialben-estate/ Nearing the end of Kaz’ulrah, Mystery Uialben had eventually made peace with his state at the time considering they were now stronger than they could ever have wished to be. Once Kaz’ulrah had been defeated by Renatus, there were no more tribute collectors seen, enabling the Uialben family to shift towards Sutica and build up a presence there, some Uialbens joining the Sutican government as stewards, guards or they remained the same and continued life as they wished to live. Over time this relationship between the Uialbens, Sutica and the trading company of the FMG which was led by Silveress, Utaria and Mystery has proven to be beneficial for both sides, Utaria becoming the spouse of their Minister of Law, Lily Anarion who later on became Trade Princess of Sutica. This event split up the Uialbens into two settlements permanently, though events held by Uialbens always favored the Uialben Estate. Nearing the end of this continent, the Uialbens found themselves fighting The September Prince or making deals with the bryophites at the time to ensure their safety as the cold settled in by the Vaeyl. Forcing the hands of the Uialben family as their crops at the estate struggled to grow and resorted to polar bear herding and trading items of great value to make their escape from the continent guided by the Vaeyl to Arcas. ending up in Siramenor, a place where Mystery and Mika Uialben tagged along with mage groups and explored the miraculous environment, harvesting a meteor and finding a tree which does not wither in the freezing cold. Arcas Sutica Upon arrival in Arcas Sutica, the Uialbens did not stand still, they expanded influence with their manor right in front of the Sutican city with its looming presence and the vast underground networks built by Mika Uialben which would solidify their position and even house extra citizens of Sutica. Uialbens in this era had a boom in population and wealth once more after the scattering in Atlas. This boom ensured a good position in the trade monarch’s eyes where Mika Uialben due to this vast increase in wealth was hired as their Minister of Finance, making sure profits ended up in coffers of both himself and the Sutican State. This Era however, also shows Mystery’s involvement with the darker side of magic while still maintaining an upstanding composure to almost everyone around and his family. Arcas Sutica being the time where Uialbens started to thrive, Mika having been assigned as trade monarch with Mystery looking over his shoulder ensuring he stuck to the Uialben path. This path, however, Mika did stray off from as he lost his wife and started to take on more than he should have and ended up dueling Myssy Uialben which he had lost, resulting in Myssy Uialben beocming the Trade Princess and Mystery once more ensuring the path is clear. After immense struggling from the Uialben leadership, Lily Anarion-Helenson had returned from her vacation to take on the crown once more which resulted in another silver era of Sutica as the Uialbens aided better than they had led with Mika returning, though this time as the Minister of Peace, leading the guards of Sutica and bringing their numbers and skill up to a higher standard than ever before. During this time, however, a notable Uialben has fallen, Mystery Uialben’s life had been taken by the lord of chains, only to be avenged by Mika Uialben in the end and the shade population dropped shortly after. The crown was soon handed over to Corwin von Alstreim, though that was soon challenged as a duel had caught wind to be murder instead, resulting in the last Uialben in Sutica, Mika Uialben to sharpen its diplomatic edges and reached out to the hangmen who then summoned half the realm to fight Oren in defense of Sutica. A white peace declared by Corwin due to the inferi insurgence, which led its uninformed allies to be disgruntled, reaching out to Mika Uialben that there might be a war between Sutica’s previous allies unless something is done about it. SPOILER https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/194817-abdication-of-the-sutican-throne-1783/ This forced the Uialben’s hand to take back the throne once more, regardless of the consequences with great remorse as Mika viewed Corwin as an ally as Mika ensured Corwin’s position on the throne with military and keeping checks on the council as regent of Sutica at the time. Once the deed had been done, Mika declined the dwarves' contract to become a protectorate under Urguan and started to lead on his own once more, though with the help of returning family members and wise councillors this time. Even though he denied such a contract, he did his best to aid the dwarves in their fight against the Inferi while Sutica remained on a simmer up until it was time to leave. Almaris Sutica With the arrival on the new continent with a new Uialben ruler, a fresh start and a hastily put together city, they started to work on Sutica as a whole once more, accepting Vassals and having family members return to them from across the realms. Under this new rule of Mika Uialben, the Uialbens have prosperred and started to take on a liking to magic and conflict, resulting in a newly arrived Uialben, Mil Uialben to start up a guild for Uialebens to learn and teach magic to those willing. SPOILER https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/199340-uialben-society-of-the-arcane/ This shift towards magic was seen as beneficial for the realm and the Uialbens as it filled the Sutican coffers unlike anything else before with the help of Chiyo osser and Sarrion Divadri. somewhere near the end of this Uialben reign, a new city was being planned, one where Uialbens, mages and mercenaries would thrive. Though this dream was shortlived as a coup has been staged upon the exhausted Mika Uialben who had taken the reigns for stone months on end where a single promise was made to Mika by the next Trade Princess before that Princess had proven to not care for their own citizenry and only their own views and coffers, attempting to sell the nation to orcs before contested with an assault of Haenseti to take the throne from them. The shatter After this final blow, the last remaining Uialbens finally scattered around the realm with some turning to mercenary work or banditry, others became merchants, some became sages wandering the realm as a powerful mage and then you have the fallen trade prince looking to start his own story back up once more where he built his fort and formed a mercenary company that will not resort to banditry at any cost. SPOILER https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/202530-the-silver-lubba-band/ This meant a new Era for Uialbens, one of struggle and challenge, but that is exactly what they were looking for in the end. Family Culture While culture is not really something that can be defined clearly within the Uialben family, it is found that Uialbens are more prone to a certain style of living and interacting with each other in similar ways. Religion is found to matter less in the Uialben family as each one of them has their own thing to follow, might it be canonism, the brathmordakin, the red faith or a literal eye in the ceiling of a temple, these elves will find themselves with a religion to their own. Interaction between Uialbens Uialbens are usually viewed as very active and all around the place, seeing their origins are chaotic in nature and having no room to properly settle and grow content, they have been found to seek glory in their own ways. Though this glory is often put aside to help another Uialben out, to just hang out every once in a while with the entire family or even compete with other Uialbens in their own ways. While Uialbens are found to be a little bit more unstable, violent, deceiving and promiscuous than your average elf, they will always be fun to hang around with when they move around in groups. Mercantile roots While it is not that well known, the Uialben family has had its fair share of trading experience, having led multiple companies such as the FMG, they always are around to pick out a good deal while they travel the realm to the extent they can. This is ofcourse passed down to their children, often picking up a trade like blacksmithing, jewelry crafting, tailoring and sometimes even farming if more laid back than the other members of the family. This tradition of being able to sustain yourself and others through your work or general appearance is found to be ingrained into the Uialben family, ensuring its prosperity. The shift Though Uialbens strife to be as prosperous as possible, it is found that some Uialbens resort to using their combative prowess and unusual knowledge for coin instead, joining mercenary companies, bandits, guilds, weapon auctioneers and militaries of any nation. This more conflict positive way of making minas is found to be more effective, though also less viable in a long term, making Uialbens go this route usually for only a couple of years or decades before returning to their roots as tradesmen. This shift, however, does allow for Uialbens to be viewed as more reliable and valuable to have during wars and ensures their position within the nation or settlement they have found themselves in. Notable members Uialbens have been spread far and wide throughout the realms, though a couple truly stand out during their time of being around. while they stand out, it does have to be noted that these individuals often have accomplished something notable or simply insane to be put on this list. Terr’hi “Mystery” Uialben Mystery Uialben, the patriarch of Uialbens, having pulled together the scattered members of the Uialben family and found to have created a good few of his own in the process, is the most notable Uialben of them all. Found to be fairly direct and often seen as chaotic in some eyes, Mystery always held up the morale among Uialbens and gave its members a direction to go to even if such direction was found questionable later on with his involvement in shade society and dark magic. This involvement with shades as his spouse at the time appeared to be one of the gehenna shades which bore a child who has been lost to time. Though this child grew up without a father as it was found that Mystery Uialben had been killed by the lord of chains, which was later avenged by Mika Uialben and a group of dwarves willing to fight to settle his grudge, resulting in a drastic drop in the shade population as a whole. Though nobody knows where his body is currently, for all one might know, he wanders still. Mika Uialben Mika Uialben, having lived multiple full lives already and still going is one of the few remaining Uialbens out in public and known to the masses to some degree. Having been Trade Monarch of Sutica twice, led multiple groups of which the majority of them for merchants, mages, mercenaries, weapons dealers and artisans to ensure the Uialben name’s stability in both politics and wealth. Mika Uialben having found to be the most active of all Uialbens, always coming up with projects to do even in times where nothing is going on is seen as the backbone of Uialbens. Mil Uialben Mil Uialben, known to be more focused on their studies of magic and their abilities to teach it, having mastered every evocation known to voidal mages. They are known for their vast amounts of knowledge and the setting up of the Uialben Society of the Arcane where she taught theory and sometimes an evocation to those found worthy by her. Though unsure where she is now, it is said that she wanders the realm lecturing mages on the magic they had thought to have mastered. Jimbo Uialben Jimbo Uialben, often looked back upon during the times of Arcas Sutica where they were seen as the strongest Uialben on them all with a physical prowess almost matching that of an orc while remaining a full blooded elf. Jimbo was often spotted taking fights at unfavorable odds and smashing them into the ground as the warrior without armor he was. Where Jimbo is nowadays, nobody knows, though when you see a buff redhead running through the forests wrestling with bears, do not be surprised. Myssy Uialben Mystery’s Champion, Myssy Uialben was the one to defeat Mika Uialben in hand to hand combat for the title of trade monarch, being the first trade monarch to allow petty violence in the form of a “punch pass” which could be traded upon arrest by the Sutican guard for acts of violence and remain free among citizens. This particular Uialben has been part of the line of Uialben Trade Monarchs of Sutica and for that they deserve a spot on the list. Evelyn Uialben Evelyn Uialben, as human, found to be Mika Uialben’s first wife deserves a spot on the notable Uialben section for their constant dedication to the Uialben cause, challenging those around them to become better than before. In their life they had become a great mage interested in what they could achieve and found themselves at the frontlines of the voidal tears in Arcas. Lusha Uialben Lusha Uialben or rather sometimes called Lusha “The Fox” due to her obsession with foxes during the Atlas Estate Era and her orange hair where she had single handedly raised an army of foxes around the estate, leaving the estate’s livestock in shambles but the fox population thriving. This feat was nothing short of insanity in hindsight and while unsure where Lusha is found today, some might hear the cackling of this Uialben in the tundra of every realm and her fox army. Emeline Uialben Emeline Uialben, while not looking like one, is a Uialben who has lived with the snow elves and eventually was one of the few Uialbens motivated to pull together all the scattered Uialbens into events such as a family diner or generally hanging out, organizing these events with great diligence. Emeline Uialben in her later days was recognized as the headmaster of the Coalition of Arcane Knowledge, A magic school residing in Arcas Sutica which generated minas for the state and spread her name across the realm as the headmaster and a notable Uialben. A Call To those Uialbens who still remain scattered, family awaits, you are not alone and never will be for the Uialbens are everywhere and nowhere in their eternal quest of becoming who they wish to become. Join your kin if you find them and if you are ready to be united once more, to put an end to the Uialben shatter. Send your birds to Mika Uialben, send your letters to let him know you are alive and well or in search of family once again. Find him and let the Uialbens unite into the entity they were before where one can live the way they truly wanted alongside their family. To those not ready yet, take your time, find out who you are and make a life of your own as you are your own person and you need to make your own choices for the betterment of yourself and possibly even those around yourself. Though I ask of you to keep this calling close to heart, knowing that out there is family which will aid you with what they have to save their kin. OOC: Uialbens have been around for a fairly long time and the previous post https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/176957-i-uialbens/ doesn’t really cut it anymore entirely, so I mustered every fiber in my body and made this post in a day or two, it was a fun write, HOWEVER, The main purpose of this post is to see if anyone would be interested in playing a Uialben, might they be with the family group or outside of it, you can play them however you’d like, just have to hit me up for the greenlight on discord: mika1278#0993 don’t forget to have fun, take care of yourself and train till you can defeat god.
