Born in the The Barrow Downs Otto Hohenzollern was the son of a good for nothing merchant father who was cruel to Otto and his mother often times drunk. Because of this Otto's early life was filled with misery whenever his father was around. Raised by his mother who was the only person kind to him in his early years. When he was 15 his father was killed after attacking someone in a drunken rage. For most of his teen years he was on the streets fighting for coin, or making money to support his mother who then died of a disease shortly after he turned 18. After the death of his mother Otto left The Barrow Downs in search of a new life. Found one day by Haakon Sigurdson, he joined his crew and together the two went on many adventures together across the seas. The pair became very close, calling each other brother. One day a storm ship wrecked us. He believed everyone died but Otto in fact survived and taken captive by Farfolk mercenaries and thrown in a prison for some time until he killed a handful of them and  managed to escape. He now searches for his brother Haakon.
