    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is the act of using knowledge that you/your character doesn't have. Like using a player's name tag to see them through walls.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Forcing an action on someone elses character. Like in combat and doing an action that demands a certain result without letting the other fighter defend themself.

What? A family line of any significance? Goodness no. Sullivan Phips was born of a man and a woman. And... well that's about all he would ever come to know. The only real family he ever needed (or cared about, for that matter) was his fellow crew aboard the good ship Lucien. Perhaps family would be too strong a word for even them. Caretakes, lets say. The folks who raised him and taught Sullivan all the wonderful ways of cooking, sewage dumping, and deck swabbing. They raised him nonetheless and the boy appreciated their services up until he left them behind on the shores of Atlas. Regret? No, naturally not. They would come to find another deckhand in due time. At a ripe 19 years old, he claimed the name of Phips as his own and set out upon the land that appeared to wobble an awful lot less than the old piece of driftwood he had called home.

Physical Description: A young faced man with unkempt brown hair. His height would range on the taller side as would his shoulders on the broader.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
