Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Kezia starts for a moment. "Hello. Hi, what's your name, how are you, other such nicer simplicities." She rolls her shoulders back, attempting a tall posture and sitting down cross-legged onto the question with an air of attempted self-assurance. The atmosphere of the tent clusters around her, suffocating in its atmosphere.
She pauses briefly, waiting for the crone to respond in any way. "Well," She continues, glancing up at the old crone and studying her in return upon seeing no reaction. "I seek experience, and glory, of course. Like any other adventurer." She shrugs, resting her body weight on one arm as she fiddles with the tassels on her fabrics with the other. "Got here through no small amount of walking--left my town to seek the finer life, make good trades, make better friends." She pauses again, looking back up from her restless fidgeting. "Folks of my--breed, let's say--aren't super welcome in most places, so I figure there's no harm in finding somewhere a little more hospitable."
She shifts positions on the cushion again, blinking up at the hag. There's a flash of a wry grin. Kez sweeps her arms open in a magnanimous display.
"..Don't suppose you're interested in any wares, are you?"

(I'm unsure where else to put this, but would like to clarify that Kez is a hybrid Wood-elf / Rassadi Farfolk. I understand the implications of this curse-wise and I'm not super sure how viable this is as a first-time applicant but am happy to change if needed!! I'm hoping there's enough characterisation above to warrant this and can expand if needed.)
