See! See!
I told you all and I'll say it again. Staff is full of bullsh*t and empty promises. They are driven by a bias against settlements. They won't stop till we're all dead gone and buried as settlements.
And I'm saying this one more time world team, no matter who it is, has their interests first and foremost. They don't give two shits about you and they will put you down to do less work. Even if they seem nice on the surface, it's all a f**cking lie.

I only CRP on a friendly base with people I know and trust to make the best decisions because most players can't be trusted with making the best decisions about what they can and cannot do. Anything else straight to PVP if I have a say. Even if it's in my disadvantage because I don't want to sit there for 45 minutes getting salty cause someone is explaining to me about their character's training or some ****.
If anything the times I do CRP, chop it down to either a pre-determined winner, or my friend and I are communicating either in VC or just have a mutual understanding of what the other character is trying to do, which I suppose would fall under skill.

this one goes out to my homie-not-homie: screamingdingo.
The Duufle
1: Anatomy/Description
The Duufles are similar to dogs in nature, in fact, many would consider them distant cousins of the creature. However, unlike most canine companions, Duufles evolved a thick outer-shell, leathery and tough in nature. These plates are ineffective against weapons, the Duufles throughout the eras have slowly lost whatever ‘steel like’ strength in their outer shell they were known for. Now more similar in texture to tanned leather, then anything. Their under-sides and totally unarmored, in any sense, though remarkably fluffy. Usually having a small tail, and stubby legs. Small and barely noticeable canines. They often snack on fruits, berries, and if need be even the leaves off of trees, though this isn’t their first option, their stomachs are capable of digesting many things.
Duufles can resemble many different breeds of dogs, as the same course of selective breeding can be followed with the Duufles, as with normal Canines. Though the typical ‘wild’ Duufles is about a medium-sized dog, usually 20 to 27 inches in height, weighing 50 to 60 pounds. Anything larger or smaller than that is a result of selective breeding. One feature all Duufles have is their shell, and this cannot be removed through any selective breeding.
Much like their canine cousins, the Duufles share an extremely similar bone structure, though their spine, and rib cage is significantly more dense, compared to their cousins, leading them to often have troubles with swimming. It’s not impossible, though granted it would be extremely difficult. That said they cannot breed with dogs, at all, only other Duufles.
Duufles are omnivorous, eating both meat, though usually things smaller than themselves, or plants, which are much preferred. They have strong, yet short legs, capable of running at a reasonable pace, usually 20 mph (~30 KPH). The structure of their back allows them to curl into a ball, tucking their legs upward, and head between their legs, onto their tail. This is their natural defense mechanism, effectively turning them into a ball.
It is unknown how the Duufles survived without protection of Descendant & Friends.
Duufles' Shell are as hard as a toughened leather.
2: Habitat
The Duufles are often found in moderate, temperate, and tropical climates with excessive amounts of vegetation. Being omnivores is a plus only if you are able to catch smaller prey, and for the Duufle, they must keep their options open. They often hide, or live in trees, capable of curling around branches, and thanks to their strong muscles can lock in position, assuming they could wrap all the way around the branch in up to hurricane force winds.
That said, Duufles often dig into the ground, and organize burrows. These burrows often aren’t much deeper then a few feet under the ground, and just wide enough for them to live in. Duufles do not hesitate to vacate these homes if a risk arises in the local area, often merging with other already organized burrows, or creating a new location.
Duufles cannot survive harsh winters, they are incapable of understanding the patterns of such. Thus, they do not live in areas that have any snow fall… at all… Only in places that bloom year round, making their choice for settlement limited. Though under the care of Descendant & Friends, they could live practically anywhere, assuming they were given shelter, and food in excess to prevent them from leaving.
Burrows are not often flooded, tunnels often taking, what seem like random 40-50 degree angles downwards and upward in order to avoid events in torrential rainfall. The Duufles are ingenuitive little creatures, all things considered, their burrows, though small, are complex. Spots designated for specifically for bedding, storage, and even a basic social hierarchy, which keeps orders in the multiple dens of each burrow.
3: Temperament
Duufles are docile in nature around beings larger than themselves. They have 3 options, continue as they were, curl up into a little ball, or run. Duufles often curl up into a ball in most cases, assuming the approachie isn’t taking a threatening stance, or appearing threatening to the significantly smaller creature. Offerings of food are typically accepted.
Duufles have a social hierarchy, often placing the strongest Duufles at the top of the hierarchy, or those more ‘popular’ among the burrow. Duufles are easily tamable if you simply become ‘most popular Duufles’. Though that’s easier said than done, Duufles are often unwilling to leave their home in large numbers, one must usually focus their effort on one or two of the animals in order to get any success.
That said Duufles, however loyal they may be, will not stand beside you in combat, well, more so roll beside you in reality. Duufles are easily startled, and scarred of the unknown, or of large things, or loud sounds. In case of any of the above, they will curl up into a tight ball, similar to the size of an oversized, and large doggy soccer ball.
Duufles, if tamed will be your friend for life, often without exception, save the case of abuse. They will stand, or roll, loyally by your side, enjoying whatever bones, plants, berries, and food in general is tossed their way. Duufles are almost never seen on their back, unless napping beside their caretaker, owner, or another Duufle they are extremely close to, often mates.
These creatures often roam the forests, planes, and jungles, as in aforementioned groups, called burrows. These burrows are a pack, and stick together through thick and thin. The lifespan of these creatures isn’t all that long, typically 7 years in the wild, or 12, even 15 under care from a descendant or friend. They can be taught tricks, and given tasks, for which they expect to be rewarded.
They often enjoy a good pat, without exception enjoy undivided attention, play times, and nap times. Though belly rubs are mostly a no-go. Duufles are not always great with kids, unless said kids are careful, and gentle. First impressions do matter, and if the Duufle is hurt, or terrified, it will remember, often never recovering.
Redlines:
Duufles cannot be used in combat, they'll curl up into a ball at the first sign of danger.Duufles if abused will seek escape at every opportunity.
Duufles do not prefer meats over plants, given the choice they will choose plants.
Duufles can swim, though they are limited in their swimming capability, no crossing oceans.
Duufles are not solitary creatures, if not given attention they may get bored and leave.
Trivia:
The number one cause of Duufle death is suicide
The Duufles don’t often ‘bark’ per-say, sounding more similar to a ‘bork’.Duufles have roughly 500 million braincells.
Duufles are Monogamous, only having 1 life long partner.

Do you want me to post your concerns on the discord where it can be responded to by the staff properly or are you gunna do it yourself?
Or are you just gunna whine
Well excuse me mister sitting in the Norland chat all day. You're one to come to the thread that's literal focus is pointing out staff problems and accusing us of whining. Because the forums just exist for no reason right? Just to organize roleplay stuff, and we can't talk to the staff on here at all.
If you like the staff so much why don't you join them? You seem to know quite a bit of what they want Mr. Ego.As for me posting in the Staff discords, I've already had my daily allocated amount of staff interaction before I kill something. I let people that can talk to staff without wanting to cause harm to themselves, or others around them, handle a majority of the interaction. If you want to sit in the threads and be the one that defends the shitty discord mods that are the LoTC staff team, that's all you.

Staff have a thousand and one more things to think about. Sometimes things are missed. Stop being an ungrateful ****.
Yes, of course, how could I forget their precious RP time.
Oh yeah, and not to mention that we still haven't gotten our ship, the one place we could have a solid base of RP, ported over yet. When the fu** is that going to happen world team? Been a few days and we're still waiting... Like I said, and will continue to say, staff team is full of **** and empty promises. They won't do anything unless it's forced onto them by an overwhelming majority of the player base because they're lazy, and few have the best interest of the players in mind.
But oh, oh woe is me spending the best years of my life on a ******* mineman roleplay server grinding for cobble 8 hours a day. Not having any time to enjoy myself because if I don't do it, no one else will. And you sit on your high chair telling us that it's not so bad. Take a look around, dickweed, stop being and ungreatful **** and open your eyes to the countless people in this thread that have been working their asses off ON MULTIPLE FRONTS to not only build their settlements but secure a better situation for their friends, and their playerbase.
I do not deny that world team, and their members are people too, people of questionable morals, sure, but the people they cuck, and F*** over are people as well. When you're focusing overwhelmingly on grinding for yourself, and your nations, and not on the community and your volunteer work. There's a problem.

This is serious, this isn't a joke... You can come check it out, take the western warp and go to -1815, 155. That's all we have.
Edit: And, close to 5 or 6 of us are actively contributing, we're not a nation and can't afford to have 10 or more people. I spent some 15 hours so far grinding.

As if charters didn't already have it hard enough not having nodes (thanks for that tech team) and not having signs on the roads thanks to the world team once more, now we do not have any chance in hell of leveling up our charter at all! Or buying more tiles! Or upgrading them! I don't mean to sound like this is anything OOC but, do you have something against us? What have we done to wrong you oh all mighty gods of LoTC's Charter and Economy System? Do you just forget we exist?
Like Camo said on another thread, casual roleplay. The type of people that play in charters are the people who don't like to roleplay in nations, or under nations. As if running charters isn't already hard enough, running them under nations would be even worse in my opinion, not being the top, but still having to do just as much work. Our nodes are already f**ked, we can't have any economy at all with this. Our citizens, that of Talonsport and me specifically are already grinding to get clay, to make blocks, to make our city.
The people that play in charters are more than capable of taking care of their own, don't get me wrong, that's why we're still alive despite what seems to be your best attempts to shove us into the ground. This is what we think. Mods don't just delete this and let us speak. I've personally had enough of all of this. When will you lot have enough? When we're faced flat in the ground? Our charter dead and gone?
If the types of people that ran charters, the same amount of perseverance in the face of literally having the entire f**king staff team against you, in the face of everything being against you. Nations too mind you. The types of people that can come up with ideas on the flip of a coin, the type that can take what little they have and make something great. Is your skull really that thick to not realize that we're humans too? People seem so quick to point out that staff team are human as well and make mistakes. Well the people that suffer from those mistakes are humans as well are we not?
I say this from the bottom of my heart, and I mean it, I only hope someone will listen when I say so. I've already gotten some ideas of what to do, and I'm sure the others in my settlement are always thinking... I know for a f**king fact, and I hope anyone that plays in a charter too, that it's different. Getting involved in a charter you're all helping each other. How small the community is, everyone knows everyone. A mutual trust between players that doesn't exist to the same extent in nations. I've RP'd in both nations, and charters. Charters are my best, and finest experiences in all of my LoTC history.
If the types of people that were running charters were running nations too, LoTC would be a much better place. We all left nations for a reason, and trying to get rid of us, to destroy any alternative to nations doesn’t seem like the finest idea. I respect the nations, do not get me wrong, but I’d never live there. With you forcing us to tax our citizens to hell and back just to break even, what does that do to us?We get no building supplies, so we have to grind on our own.
We get no support, or world edit or prebuild or any chance to see the world, so we need to edit our city to the environment.
No one cares about us, or specifically wants to see us grow unless it’s in their favor (or they’re druids)
We’re tired of empty promises. Tired of being told things, and nothing happening.
And all this, and you can’t still seem to get rid of us, if that’s what you want, anyways. And I’m just saying if you want to keep us around, you’re still doing a horrible job.
But that's just my opinion
26 -
Here my dumbass was thinking economy team might cut some charters slack for a second. Well boys, time to pump up the taxes to make up for our lower population levels so we can get nodes to build our city and grow our own economy without relying on nations! Everyone spoon over your already limited mina!
