  1. Alexander d'Arkent would sigh as he heard the news. Gail had been a good man in the few times they had spoken. His home in Talon's had changed much since he has stepped down, and it wouldn't be the same without him.

    "Till we meet again friend"

With that, Alexander would take a long sip of his drink and watch the sun rise above the Imperial skyline.

    3. A settlement should add something unique to the build elements employed on the server.

I think a large problem lies in this rule or idea.

While I think being unique is a good thing, and even promote it, I think it should only exist as a way to make yourself or settlement better. While many times in this forum thread the Vasieyeva have been called "Another generic human group", I think the argument should be more why that matters in regards to settlement applications. Forcing settlement groups to vassalize to other nations can force lore, rules and mindsets unintended for the group and ruin what they have created. There is nothing wrong in mind to submit a settlement application for something that might already exist on the server as it's just another option for players to see and join. I understand however that this might be the current policy, and if so, understand why the application was denied. Though moving forward it might be best to remove it, or lessen it to allow players more freedom in how they intend on roleplaying.

  3. Walking through the empty home of ValericaRuvaen found more questions than answers.

Was the man who Ruvaen saw, the man who Valerica had described to him?

If so, why was he here? He shouldn't be, but he was.

Why was Valerica speaking with him?

Ruvaen would sit in the upstairs portion of the home, looking outward towards the bay, pondering of the night before. All of the events that had taken place had happened so quick and with no reason in his head that it left him bewildered. The last thing that Valerica had said to him ringed loudly in his thoughts.

"I need you both to leave, now"

Was this the Valerica that Ruvaen had grown to care for? To throw him from her home with no reason? Or was she trying to protect him and his sister from the man within the house?

"Perhaps I was a mere distraction from it all" He would say softly as he made his way down the stairs back onto the street.

Why had Valerica said nothing to him once she was found later that night?

Ruvaen would pause as he reached into his packed book bag and removed his journal, a full memoir of their experiences that Valerica had asked him to start writing.

"You read so much, that you might as well try writing. I think you'd be great at it"  The image of Valerica sitting ontop of the mountains, gleaming as she enjoyed a warm bowl of chili after taking a plunge into freezing water made Ruvaen momentarily crack a smile before continuing on. His journal would return to his pocket as he thought on the validity of it's contents, if the emotions stored within were even real. Ruvaen would rip a page free and begin to write a small note-

    To Valerica,

I suppose we never got to take our adventure at sea, or build a castle in the mountains where we would live our final days. Though we got to spend sometime together that was eventful and special, which is a luxury to many. If you ever return to the Elvenesse and are in search of a new adventure or wish to pick up where ours left off, just speak to my sister. I don't believe any of us got the full story of what went down that night, and may never will. Though where ever life takes you, or has taken you, I hope it is one that brings you joy and happiness, as it's what you deserve.

    From your friend,

    Ruvaen

Ruvaen would run back and leave the note under a jar of spiced pickles, noticing the jars of odd vegetables and spices still untouched in the cabinets which made him chuckle. Leaving the door open as he had found it, he would take his leave, leaving through the same gates that Valerica had left prior.

  4. Alexander d'Arkent would be happy to hear that the child was let go free of harm.

"A confused child caught in turbulent times, I'm happy to hear that nothing came to him" The Chief of War Staff would say in the comfort of his home.

  5. Alexander d’Arkent would respond to the crazed man with a questioning look. Has this person ever contacted his council to ask for the changes he claims? Where are the hordes he claims? Has this man ever lived in the Empire before? Does this man not know the way the Emperor is “selected”?

Many of these questions and more would cross his mind as the madman continued his rant. Though at the end of the day, this is all the outburst was, just the rant of a madman.

  6. Alexander d'Arkent would sigh as he stepped into the cage of the killer of Sir Henry, the man who crafted his wife's wedding band and had been a friend to him all of his life. He raised his eyes to the crazed man who repeatedly beat his head into the cell bars, his hands began to glow red...

  7. Far above the skies, Tovelm would salute the fallen captain

"Is that the same Corporal that followed around Aplex everywhere he went? Can't say I'm surprised to see she made it as far as she did. Was always mad I couldn't get you into the fifth when I had the chance, one of my few regrets in life. Though I can say you didn't waste yours. Till next time Jac."
