If you or a loved one has been affected by mesothelioma trollplay or other nonsense low-quality RP please send me in a testimony in a forum DM and I’ll read through it (note I can’t respond to all of them).

This doesn’t give anyone a chance to defend themselves. Not like the mods/admins don’t talk among themselves though if a mod had a personal vendetta against a player what stops them from using this system to get it? Surely a moderator’s word is worth more than just some new user. Unless you want to message the defendant as well, which just makes this the same as a report.

bad analogy. this would be like if he was warned for using steroids and then the NBA looked back at the extent of his roid use and decided it warranted a suspension and not a warning

i’m not saying i agree with the decision or even care but let’s not pretend this was out of left field. the moderators care about people doing quality rp

I agree with that the moderators want proper RP, and the moderators gave him a warning to fix it, so he went and did it. To wait an entire month before increasing his punishment? Right before a giant break for everyone? Not to mention that it’s not a bad analogy since warning actually count towards you. Why was this case revisited so long in the future? He had done so much since then that was positive for the community.

Wish is even more of a reason to see how this case is absolute bullshit lmao. Imagine if Deandre Ayton, who just served a 25 suspension for using PEDs in the NBA made it into the finals, though just before the finals started the NBA gave him another 25 game suspension because they thought the old suspension wasn’t long enough. If Deandre had no other infractions how is that fair? How does that make any sense in the slightest? You could put this is almost ANY situation at all and still makes zero sense.

are the admins not allowed to reconsider their decisions?

Wasn’t even the admins as you can read from the screenshots, it’s a general moderation ban. In a normal setting, a case isn’t revisited unless there is evidence of another incident. If someone commits theft he is brought to court and given a punishment, whether it be community service, a fine, etc. The case isn’t revisited after for no reason. The case however can be brought back if he commits another crime, which Stefan hasn’t done. Stefan has done nothing but show more and new RP.

imo grool made the ban sound dodgy by adding stuff about “immediately robbing and killing” but really you were banned because you were meme rping, you had a history of meme rping, and it finally caught up to you when you meme rp’d in front of a mod

You understand that he was warned for the incident right? He received his punishment for what he did. The fact that it was revisited is absurd if they don’t have evidence of an incident after that.

“Sad, in a bid for relevance you copy the Lorraine soldiers, even copying the exact same format and words. Can’t you people come up with anything original?” asked Boniface.

Tovelm would laugh “At the speed the AIS captures and needs to ransom Oren troops, we needed to make a format for how we do things. Makes things easy to read and understand. That way Oren can read it everyday and understand who they are buying back.”

  7. The fact that the case is being brought up after being given a punishment is absurd. You were given a warning and your character was executed in game. If there isn’t any evidence of an incident coming up after that then you should be unbanned. Not to mention why is someone like Grool handling this case? He plays persona’s in the Oren Faction, which is an enemy to the one that Stefan is in. Kind of disgusting that this sort of thing is happening so close to Christmas break as well.

I know I am biased as someone within the AIS faction though I wouldn’t want something like this to happen to someone in the Oren faction. It’s unfair, unjust, and terrible timing. He can’t even put in an appeal for another two weeks, which is passed Christmas into January. Once he is able to appeal he will one hundred percent be unbanned due to this being a ludicrous case in the first place. Extremely disappointed.

  8. Tovelm would read the missive while his men cleaned the training grounds of Morsgrad, his body covered in the scars of the war that turned him from a boy to a man, a soldier to a leader. He would recall all that Godric had done for him and would begin to cry, something the giant hadn’t done in ages.

”This has got to stop, Oren has to understand that all they do is kill their own. I’m tired of killing my highland brothers, I’m tired of the lives that Oren refuse to let live because of their arrogance and “honor”. I’m tired of all the lies, deceit and trickery that Oren uses to manipulate their people.  All we want is to be free of that DAMNED empire, they caused destruction for all of Arcas, and will continue to cause it if someone doesn’t do something. We were tired of marching south to kill elves and orcs that mean nothing to us. We refuse to be the playthings for the powdered wigs of the empire to use. We made up half the damned army of Oren before we decided to stand up for ourselves, the heartlanders shall no longer guide us through this journey, we don’t need to be “together”, we shall guide ourselves and be stronger for it. The north shall never kneel.”

  9. Tovelm would begin to laugh before grabbing his axe on the way out of the barracks, “I honestly wonder if he read his letter before sending it, he talks with the disrespect of someone who is not only winning the war, though as someone who didn’t replace the position he holds thanks to the man he writes the letter to.” Tovelm would then make his way to the horn of Moresgrad, to call together the martyrs.

  10. Tovelm would read the missive and place it aside making note that people are fleeing the Wildlands in search for safer places. “It seems we may have more people coming to Moresgrad, we shall welcome them with open arms”

  11. Tovelm would stand to his full height upon reading the paper, his eyes resting fondly upon the sun as it rose above the cliffs of Moresgrad. With a stern face he lifted his axe to his shoulder and rested his hand upon his hip. He would recite the verse in his head a multitude of times before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

    “Never again shall we kneel...” Tovelm whispered to himself, before raising his axe above his head and repeating it far louder;

    ”NEVER AGAIN SHALL WE KNEEL”

The giant yelled through out the mountains, the birds scattered as it rang, the freshly fallen snow glistening as the sun rose.

  12. Tovelm would sigh “Does this “Princess” who stands within her stone walls think that her soldiers do not do the same? That the same atrocities that she states does not happen to those of the AIS? Shameful.”

You pulled one thing (the humours) out of the 10,000s of words I wrote over it. Very nice. I am not shaming you for coming up with something when you are 15 but to say “hur hur hur its not original” is very, VERY hypocritical. Have I ever written a 25 page document about why Haense should not be conquered? Go find me where I have ever done that, and I will concede- perhaps the current Haeseni do that, but that is something I do not support or condone, nor do I plan on it.

Yes, yes, everyone pulls up mog and says “he did this therefore it is the way the empire should be done.” No, it is not. First Empire, despite most people thinking otherwise, was not unified through blatant war (though there was some wars here or there) but a lot of it through mutual cooperation. Renatus, on the other hand, did go out of its way to conquer and that is the sole reason why I, a poet RPer, was able to get so many people. Why? Perhaps it is became conquering everyone and killing them is not the way to go? When you force people to submit (like your own group, for example) it creates a toxic environment between the conqueror and the conqueree. Look at all the shittalking people did when Seahelm got conquered, some of which I did participate in. I see now that this mentality, however, this wanting to put one above one another, only exacerbates the issue- yeah mog was strong when you conquered everyone but moment he left all the people that got conquered rose up, contributing to a cycle of distrust amongst eachother. I resent myself for wroughting this belief of strength over cooperation and ruling over serving, and ultimately humanity will never be fixed unless you see it the same way. The only true success of humanity can come when we can stop causing coalition wars every 2 months to solve our internal issues.

While yes, the war you claim was started via RP and that this is because of the Auvergenian incident, the fact is I have seen so little of that on the forums as the reasoning but rather this borderline-petty “hur hur hur haense is SICK” or for the empire, “hur hurhur sufonia is GYPSIES”. I do not know what alty did and that is beyond my personal pay-grade, but I will take your word on that regard. However, while the war may have been started in RP, your method in approaching it (OOC shitslinging) is what I most heavily condemn. Why can’t we have a war where we aren’t making all these threads as jabs to one another?

Resolve the conflict, sure, but don’t actively platform these OOC attacks then wonder why all these people think its an OOC clique war. Fight the war, sure, but don’t actively sponsor factionalism and PVP elitism.

    Spoiler

So after reading this whole argument you both have your points and I agree with both, as the after battle posts I could see be a bit tiresome to a lot of people. I guess where my question comes in, is that everything on this forum is to be interpreted by the characters on LOTC as papers that are handed out to the cities or empires of the respective forum group it is posted in. These forum posts are just propaganda for either side. After a side wins a battle they write a paper about how their side courageously defeated the enemy. That’s legit all these are. Now from the standpoint of a famous author or whatever you seem to play on LOTC its completely fine that you might hate these are written, as to you they may come across as sloppy or forced. These are reactions that are fine when it comes to being your character. In real life reports of battle are always glorified for the winning team, whether it be through headlines of news reports or interviews with commanders, and honestly is your not posting propaganda your kind of messing up. If you only hear from the enemy newspaper or writers that your empire is being slaughtered you would be a little bit worried, so your side will do the same. I only ask that rather than call these “OOC **** slinging posts” you see them as a side who is drastically outnumbered and winning battles aganist who they think to be an evil empire, something that they are proud of and writing about. So sure it may come across as scummy to the Oren Empire, though shouldn’t it......

  14. Tovelm, now after three years of schooling had learned to read, and after reading the missive felt his pride roar within him. Sitting from his room in Moresgrad, the giant would sharpen his blade and whisper himself a northern tune of the battles to come and smile, writing out a poem to himself on the scraps of paper he had throughout his room.

    We fought with swords,
    before the All-Father.
    We held bloody shields:
    we stained our spears.
Showers of arrows brake the shield in pieces.
The bow sent forth the glittering steel.
Some may fall in the conflict,
from which there was not a greater cause.
Wide on the shores lay the scattered dead:
the wolves rejoiced over their prey.
