Birth Year/Current Age: 20 Birthplace: “I’ve no clue where I was born.” Desired Rank: Ranger-Wildsmen Training Known: Basic close quarter combat (still learning from a new friend), excellent with a spear from years of spearfishing, basic reading and writing skills, decent at tracking and hunting game though could be better and knows her way around a ship. She can carve herself a spear or knife, but those are the limits of her skils, no finely detailed stuff. Training Desired/Needed: Would like to polish up her tracking and hunting skills as well as combat. Unarmed combat is greatly desired.     As a Highlander, Valkyrria grew up as part of a hunter-gatherer society on the outskirts of civilisations, spending much of her childhood prowling the forests with her parents and brothers to learn how to support herself in the unforgiving terrain. As a child, she’d always been free-spirited, gleefully running through forests and swimming in creeks, however in her adolescence that spirit morphed into recklessness and pride in herself that would be her downfall. One hunt, in particular, served to curb her spirit and turn her into the head-strong, but also laidback person she is now. It was a particularly nasty run-in with a wild boar whose strength she had grossly underestimated that left her blind in her left eye with a nasty scar cutting across her cheek, nose and forehead. Since then, she has struggled with depth perception and is not as adept at hunting as she once was. As a result, her family, although not outright shunning her, were unhappy that their daughter was physically not as capable as she once was, especially as their Highlander community revered strength as a trait. Despite her negative surroundings, her strong will had her hone her skills on the gathering aspect of her community’s practices and she is able to effectively locate and identify various plants needed for their various purposes. Now as a young adult, Valkyrria sets off to hold her own in the wider world to someday return home, determined to show her community that she is more than capable despite her handicap, taking each day as it comes and trying to enjoy her days rather than being caught up in competition, though at times her stubborn and competitive nature does surface. Other than this main goal, she seeks to discover and conquer wildlands and perhaps make a friend or two, preferably who could offer her a new perspective outside of the narrow view provided by her upbringing. Additionally, Valkyrria was raised under the teaching of the Red Faith, as common of Highlanders, however, she is not a highly devout worshipper of the All-Father, not doing much more than an occasional prayer or offering to the god.
