What magic(s) will you be teaching?
Blood Magic
Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:
Blood Magic can be taught to an individual who has been through the process of “awakening”, done by the teacher. The individual being awakened unknowingly contacts the Archon Eireamhan, which then causes the wide amount of knowledge that is Blood Magic to flood into the mind all at once. The abilities are within two different sections: Bloodbending and Rituals. The use of Genus is what drives Blood Magic, Genus being a portion of an individual's blood that can be manipulated by a blood mage, through means of self sacrifice or unwillingly taken from another. The amount of Genus varies between races, though cannot be stacked. I.e, Voidal Mages receive a 4th Genus upon being connected, but should they be a High Elf who already has 4 Genus, they stay with 4 Genus. Upon their awakening, a new Blood Mage will find themselves far sicker, both mentally and physically. This is due to the strain Blood Magic has on them, with the giving of Genus. Bloodborne diseases will affect one quicker, and will have a lengthier process to get rid of them. With their mentality changing, this can vary between depression, addiction, anxiety, OCD, and so-on. Upon being awakened, a Blood Mage's life is capped 104 years within roleplay (2 IRL years) after their awakening, so an individual who begins at 16 will die in their 120th year, no matter their original race.
Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?
Rituals
A ritual is a lengthy and generally time-consuming act performed when a mage creates a ritual circle, by marking down the corresponding runes and encircling such. These have no use on their own, and are only activated when one, or more mages activate it via pressing open wounds to the outer ring of the circle. Success of the rituals depends on the roll made- a natural 1 will always result in failure, but bonuses are added when there are more mages present. +1 for each T2 and T3, +2 for T4 and T5, and +1 for each Siliti, so long as they are participating in the ritual. There are three types of rituals, which are the following:
Elemental Rituals induce aesthetic abilities to people or objects, and are best compared to enchanting.
Creation Rituals create powerful items or affect an area; this would be how a MArt would be created.
Force Rituals are an act that can heal an individual, cause unnaturally summoned disasters, and enchant weaponry that leak blood.
Bloodbending
Bloodbending is manipulation upon the body of those with Genus. Bodies can be torn apart, but varying wounds can be healed, too. These can be more akin to cantrips, and do not have an exhausting effect on the mage who casts them. With this, a spell is available that gives the mage the ability to forget the act of Blood Magic in its entirety.
Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?
Scabbing
Upon finishing with a ritual, Cresence stood near the center of the room. Glancing down at the runes and circle painted unto the stone, she crouches. Her fingers brushing across the drying blood, she smudges some of it in the process.
After a moment, the runes and circle that were laid out below her began to dissipate into the air, leaving behind just small, faint remnants.
Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?
Sat upon a chair in a table across from the other, the mali kept her hands in her lap, “As we begin, I will first explain what you will be learning, and how. Bloodbending, while useful, should not be used all-too often. It manipulates the Genus of others, where you can-” Cresence pauses, leaning forward. “For instance, start a simple nosebleed on another by focusing your energy on the blood vessels of another until they burst.”
Student sat quietly, head nodding in understanding.
“You can try now, you’ve the means to. Make me have a nosebleed, as you will it.” Cresence’s hands clasp together upon the order, waiting.
“Me? I- okay.” Student says due to the suddenness, now sitting upright and staring at Cresence. They did not blink, nor speak.
There is silence in the air as Student focuses, their eyes widened and drying out, and lips downturning.
A DM is sent to the target player to inform them of the effects.
Nodding her head, Cresence brought out a rag from her pocket. With the success she chirps, “Wonderful! Quite easy, no?”
Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?
If in this situation the powergaming were unintended due to newly learning, I would explain what the issue was with the emote, how it was powergaming compared to proper roleplay, and then ask for a re-emote.
If it were to continue even after being said, warnings on my part would be given. Should it continue even then, ST or Moderation would be contacted due to the rule breaking.

Feirfur
Origin
The Feirfur is a creature that can be found residing in dense woodlands residing in small burrows dug beneath the earth, as well as burrowing into tree trunks, charring the inside of the bark to a black crisp. They are natural, albeit some may think that there must have been some sort of voidal tampering to cause their existence. These creatures are not apex predators, but rather a small, defensible thing that have their place in the ecosystem; they are generally unharmed, and are omnivorous which allows for them to have an extensive diet that manages high-populations.
Summary
A Feirfur is a creature most easily compared to a possum or hedgehog. They are small rodent-like creatures that come in a small variety of colors; these are merely for aesthetic purposes, and grant no advantages. They are found in shades of red, orange, and yellow, although it has been said they have been found to be bright blue, too. The tips of their noses always appear crimson, and they’ve an elongated snout that thins out. Their ears are small and triangular, and their eyes are black akin to any other small rodent. Yet unlike other rodents, they lack a long tail and rather have a short stub.
What truly marks these creatures different to any other is the streak of fire along their backs. This can range from small embers to a blazing, albeit small fire. The color of the fire correlates to the color of their fur, hence the name of Feirfur. Due to the energy it takes to keep a fire, the thing has an increased appetite that must always be satiated; a fire that lacks energy indicates a sick or malnourished Feirfur. Generally, they give off a soft sense of warmth when in their presence.
The Feirfur is docile and friendly- perhaps even lazy, and will never go out of their way to attack something near them unless they sense danger near their way. This means a Feirfur has the ability to burn should they be quickly grabbed, but nothing more than second degree, nor lethal in any way. With this, it is also far too difficult for a Feirfur to burn a building.
Taming
The Feirfur is a very food-motivated creature, and enticing it with balanced meals of both meat and veg will mean a new companion to bide your time with. Some may find the Feirfur has uses among being a companion, such as warming a kettle or heating up alchemical herbs on a whim. So long as they are often fed large amounts, the creature will do just about anything.
Redlines
- The Feirfur can, if consented by the targeted player, burn someone.
- The Feirfur cannot under any circumstances be used for arson/villainy/combat roleplay.
Purpose
The Feirfur is meant to be a creature that simply adds more flavor into the everyday (sometimes monotonous) RP on LOTC; specifically in its ability to heat items with a bit more ‘pizazz’ than emoting a flint and steel being used on kindling.

What's kept you around for so long? Who is/was your most enjoyable character to play? What was the most memorable experience for you? What your favorite thing to cook/bake?

I hate myselfI like the sense of community, the sheer amount of memery, and the different storylines- I have a lot of characters! Too many, really. There's not just one I like the most, since they all have different things about them that make me play them (i.e. whimsical happy-go-lucky to throwing children off of roofs :)
- I don't really have a most memorable experience, but I do love some off the smaller things especially, like simple slice-of-life.- Galette's ftw

Former bandit player, short-time nation leader, now spooky mage and writer of whatever pops into my mind. This is also your chance to ask me about new creatures I want to write :)

Kneeled down into a tower of ivory and light, a thing sat down on its knees. At least, that’s what the elfess thought herself to be sometimes. A thing, not a being of her own accord. She was missing a part of herself, even if it may be a minuscule thing. Something taken. Something she wanted back, but knew she had no right to anymore. Her hand, which another might think was nothing, was taken. A false one embedded into her wrist, metallic and fiery.
Light shone through the tall white windows. They felt pure. But not she. Blood circled around the kneeling figure, cuts along her wrists. This was nothing new to her, nothing shocking nor reason for surprise. Though this, she felt in control. Her pale blue eyes glazed over, lost in thought. Whispers in the back of her mind, delusions, paranoia, not silenced nor ignored. Just a moment where she thought about what is and could be. These things made no sense to her, not anymore. Unintelligible, so what was her worry? She knew not, but always had an unknown worry in the back of her mind.
The woman slowly brought herself up, taking care of her new wounds ‘til the crimson no longer seeped out. A long breath is let out from her mouth, heavy and weighing her down.
Now the moment had passed. She felt renewed, for a time. Just, for a time.

Upon hearing talks about the new Gazette, a mentor leans over her apprentice's shoulder... "Maybe be a little nicer... they'll like that."

for me it depends on the character, since i've slowly moved from past to present tense, but sometimes for those longer emotes it works out

A writer is confused about her feelings about all of this; things are said, why should she not listen if they have a slim chance be true?

A certain elven newspaper-writer hums. She tucks this way into a tome, which was then tucked into a bookshelf for safe keeping. "Poor things." The writer uttered in line with her thoughts.

A magi judges this behavior harshly... especially since taken blood is useless in the end.
